"Mario Kart for the Wii Comes with the Intuitive Wii Wheel, Which Makes it Easy for Novices to Compete Against Veterans, So No One is Left in the Dust."

Your favorite go-kart racing circuit is finally coming to the Wii. Just snap your Wii remote into the included steering wheel, and you're ready to enjoy classic Mario racing circuits, as well as plenty of new ones, with your old friends Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad, Bowser and more. Pick up coins and Koopa shells along the way to increase your speed or blow your opponents off of the track.

Mario Kart Wii will include 16 new courses and 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games. For the first time ever, players have the option of racing with either karts or motorbikes. Players can also hit the road as their personalized Miiā„¢ caricatures in addition to the handful of classic Nintendo characters found in the game. True to the series, the game features tons of racing, plenty of power-ups and oodles of objects for players to use to slow down other drivers. And 10 battle arenas will keep players busy between trips around the circuit.

The easy-to-use Wii Wheel will also be sold as a separate accessory, giving every driver in the household a chance to get behind his or her own wheel. And if veteran Mario Kart fans are afraid of getting smoked by rookie drivers using the Wii Wheel, they can rest assured that Nintendo has them covered. Mario Kart Wii supports four different control options: Wii Remoteā„¢ with or without the Wii Wheel, Wii Remote and Nunchukā„¢ controller combo, Classic Controller and even the Nintendo GameCubeā„¢ controller. So there's bound to be a configuration that fits everyone's style.

Mario Kart Wii launches with a new channel added to the Wii Menu to enhance game play: The Mario Kart Wii Channel. This new channel builds on the huge online community of Wii owners and lets players compete in tournaments, check worldwide rankings, see when their friends are playing and download ghost data.

Remember that Wii features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other Wii features, visit Wii.com. For more information about Mario Kart Wii, visit MarioKart.com.

5 of 5 One of the Best Titles out There for the Wii. Tuesday, June 16, 2009
Deks from Chantilly, VA

I'm not a fan of racing games, but this one held me interested. It's especially fun when you play with friends offline and online. The variety of characters and racetracks makes the game's variety extensive. This one is $50 well spent.

5 of 5 Fun game! Monday, May 11, 2009
D from Boston,MA
So you can use the wiimote, the classic controller, the nunchuck, whatever you want really. You can play yourself, with up to 3 friends, or over the wii internet against others far away. Each vehicle FEELS different in it's handling. This game is the first driving game that I can really enjoy, because there is a much closer connection to the virtual environment - it does not feel as fake - even when the graphics are nintendo absurd (like driving a rocket powered stroller with a turtle). Fun game for many ages.

5 of 5 Absolutely a game to own Thursday, March 26, 2009
A Gamer from San Jose, CA
I am by no means a die-hard "gamer" in the true sense of the word, but this game has made me an addict. It is a game that can be played and enjoyed by ALL. I have friends who have their Xboxes and Playstations that love playing their war games, and they came over and played the Mario Kart and they absolutely had a BLAST!!! They wouldn't give back the wheel. If you're hesitating on buying this game,. . . don't. Just buy it. You will not regret it.

5 of 5 Great fun for the whole family Wednesday, February 18, 2009
A Gamer from Chicago, IL
I highly recommend Mario Kart for any family with kids that like to compete and have fun doing it. Very creative and entertaining game with loads of player options (cars, characters, courses etc) to keep everyone engaged for a long time. Also nice that the game has 3 levels of play so the younger players don't get too frustrated and quit.

5 of 5 Classic! Friday, January 09, 2009
A Gamer from Rochester, NY
This is a classic. I remember playing it on N64 when I was little, and I love how they kept it true to the original but adding a new technological twist. The price was right at buy.com, cheaper then alot of other places!

5 of 5 Wii Mario Kart with Wheel Sunday, December 28, 2008
A Gamer from Peoria, IL
Mario Kart is great. But most of my family prefers not using the wheel, but rather using the two controllers. Only my youngest (11 yo) prefers to use the wheel. Maybe not get the wheel unless you have very young players.

5 of 5 Great game - saved a boring Christmas party Sunday, December 28, 2008
JQ from Torrington, CT
This is the best game I have played on the Wii. It is a ton of fun, and the best thing about it is that more than one person can play at once. This was a huge hit at our Christmas party, where everyone from 16 to 60 years old took a turn and had a great time.

5 of 5 This game is a classic. Sunday, October 12, 2008
Jonathan from Glendale, CA
I used to play Mario Kart on N64 and then on GameCube. It has always been a fun, entertaining, timeless game that you can pick up and play by yourself or with friends. The simple physics used and the friendly all-ages gameplay make it easy to fall in love with. And having a wireless wheel on the Wii makes this game a priceless addition to the Wii family. If you like simple games that you can play for hours, add this to your collection. It's a must have.

5 of 5 Awesome Game, Fun for hours! Friday, October 03, 2008
Kyle from Rockford, IL
This game provides endless amounts of fun with 4 players and the online mode. Playing against the computer also provides a challenge with the enormous amounts of power-ups to use and the individuals in last place getting the best throughout the game. Fun for all ages!

5 of 5 Fun Game Monday, July 07, 2008
A Gamer from Washington, DC
I really like the racing game and it is good for a group of people. Some of the boards can be pretty difficult (rainbow) but others are fairly easy so there is something for everyone. You have to play solo to get higher scores to unlock more characters and boards. One thing I didn't like is when you get 3+ players you can't see the summaries of the cars to know the acceleration, handling, etc rates. The larger characters seem to move slower (or maybe it's the car). I prefer the smaller characters. I've been using the Wii Wheel and sometimes it doesn't always register the proper turning direction. I didn't wait that long to get it from Buy.com either so don't let the sold out keep you from ordering. I think it shipped out within a week of placing the order where on another site I waited almost 3 weeks and still no word on estimated ship date.

5 of 5 Great Game! Friday, June 27, 2008
xonovik from Minneapolis, MN
This is a challenging game when it gets to online competition. It's much easier with the chuck, but most advanced players play with the wheel. Lots of practice required, unlocking all the characters will take about 20 or so hours of game play on average. Good party game too.

This game is so much fun, I never played other versions of this game to compare, but it is so cool to play with the Wii Wheel. It is fun to have people over and play together. It is a fun game for the whole family.

5 of 5 Mario Game with wheel Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Tony R. from San Jose, CA
Excellent game, but DO NOT buy a Dreamgear add on wheel, ONLY one from Nintemdo. The imitation wheel doesn't work. It is difficult to insert and to remove. Spend the extra $$s and get the real thing Wheel.

4 of 5 Family Time Restored Wednesday, June 11, 2008
A Gamer from Durham, NC
This is a fun game to share with the family. My daughter and her boyfriend each have controllers and I bought two for my son and me--so we can all play. The multiplayer screen is a little confusing at first, but once you're used to it it's fun. My controller has seen more use by my husband who refused to play games on either of our other game systems, but likes the Wii and this game.

5 of 5 Great game with unlocking abilities! Monday, May 19, 2008
duhjoker from Houston, TX
Mario Kart for Wii is a great game. The box comes with one Nintendo Wii Wheel which you can put the wiimote inside. You can use the wiimote with the Nyko charge pack also as it will fit too. You do not need to use the Wii wheel to play as I just hold the wiimote only. The game has good graphics relative to the Wii system of 480p, but the funnest part is the ability to play online. The online system is free and one only needs a broadband connection for this. You must also do a Wii system update online before being able to play the game. Once updated, you can play with friends that you connect online with the Wii or play people all over the world. Great!

4 of 5 Mario Kart Another Great Game for Wii Sunday, May 18, 2008
A Gamer from San Diego, CA
Mario Kart is a good game that Nintendo brought out for the Wii. I still think that like Brawl you need a game cube controller, which still dominates over the wii remote especially when it comes to sliding and boosting. The online play is fun with friends, but wiht other people I think the fact that you can't turn items off takes away the level of difficulty of the game since it feels more of chance in getting better items than any real skill involved.

5 of 5 Must have game for all Wii owners Friday, May 16, 2008
A Gamer from Syracuse, NY
This game is simply a blast to play. Whether with a group of friends, or some quick practicing by yourself, you will have fun with this game. With it being so easy to pick up and play, even people who have never played this game or the Wii can dive right in and compete. A game all Wii owners should pick up, regardless of age or skill-level.

5 of 5 Great game for all ages Thursday, May 15, 2008
A Gamer from Round Rock, TX
Even my wife, who isn't a "gamer", likes MK. My almost-2-year-old enjoys watching us play and she loves to play with the Wii Wheel (although she gets nowhere in the game). The game can be difficult and frustrating if you are trying to unlock many of the secret characters and courses, or play competitively online. But if you're just playing for fun this is a great game for everyone. It's one of the few game titles that's actually worth the $50 retail price.

5 of 5 Must have game for the Wii Wednesday, May 14, 2008
A Gamer from Charlotte, NC
This is by far the best game out for the Wii, in my opinion. I haven't enjoyed playing Mario Kart this much since the SNES days. The graphics are great, gameplay excellent, and it's a very deep game. You can play the grand prix by yourself or versus a friend, time trials are addicting, and online multiplayer just adds another great element. You can also unlock new characters, cars, and tracks by playing and winning different medals on the circuits. You can even unlock your Mii to use him to race by winning the 100cc cup. Also, racing with the wheel is pretty cool, but I prefer the classic controller. This is a MUST buy!! You won't regret it.
