This book is intended to provide a comprehensive update on recent Infectious Diseases-related issues and emerging concerns with relevant (but succinct) background information. The emphasis will remain on real (Infectious Disease) clinical problems faced in this particular patient population. The last Section will represent strategies used to prevent infections, for patients in whom response to conventional preventive measures may not be as effective as in a non-cancer and non-Stem Cell Transplant population.
