Printer itself is a good product and performs well. We're now out of toner and are considering buying another machine rather than replacing the toner cartridges - it would be cheaper!!!

Overall I am very satisfied with this printer. The quality is great. Even photos look very good. This laser printer is much noisier than the mono laser printer I have had for a year. Make sure you also consider how big the printer is. It is much larger than most ink jet printers, but I think it is worth it. The only other down side to this printer is that the replacement toners are very expensive. This is no different than ink jet printers except that there are 4 toner cartridges.

I bought this printer five months ago and have not regretted it since. The text is very sharp as you would expect from a laser and the colors are right on. For months I grappled with buying an ink jet printer to print color photos or buying a laser printer to print documents as I am a student and do a lot of printing. When I found this printer available for under three hundred bucks I couldn't pass it up. First page out is very fast. When set at its highest DPI (requires USB 2.0) the pictures appear photo quality. Setting it up out of the box was a breeze - just follow the step by step illustrated poster. I recommend buying some bright white printer paper (100+ brightness) because it really helps emphasize the color contrasts. I was worried about only having 32MB of printer RAM to print out big graphics, but it handles large graphic files with speed (for a economy color laser of course). Trust me you'll make everyone jealous when they see what you can produce on your Konica Minolta 2400W and how quickly you do it. One small Con: The printer status program is great and it allows you to see the up to date status of all the printer's consumables. I've found that I don't print THAT MUCH, but I just checked the "Status Display," and after five months I'm already down to 60% on my black toner. Minolta offers a high capacity black toner as a replacement, but they supply the machine with a standard capacity cartridge. I would be 100% extatic if the printer came with a larger black toner, so I have to say I'm only 99.9% extatic! Buy It!

Right out of the box, this printer beats all expectations. The ease of set up was remarkable and best of all it came out of the box with FULL toner! This is my 3rd laser and first Minolta but I know it won't be my last. I am a graphic design artist and I have been frustrated trying to find a resonably priced printer that reproduced true color. I have found it in this economical full featured printer.
