Better design and build quality than most other enclosures in (and even out of) its price range. The combined signal/power SATA connector on the circuit board means no cables to deal with when mounting the drive on the inner chassis that easily slides into the external metal case. Vent holes and (mostly) metal construction provide adequate cooling for low power ("green") drives. Convenient front power button with shutoff delay prevents accidental turn off. Works with my FirmTek eSATA adapter card. For the price, this is the best USB/eSATA enclosure I've seen. Was this review helpful?

I really like this case. It was super easy to assemble, it runs pretty cool for being fan-less, and it looks just like my G5.
The only gripe is the annoying, too-bright blue power/activity light.
Someone else here said that they could've/should've gone for the more-Mac white LED...would have looked much more Mac.
Thats the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars all the way.

The product was easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow. I put a 500 GB Lacie drive in it, which just plug right into the circut board on in the encloser. I actually think the drive is working faster in this enclose than in the orginal one. Was this review helpful?

This external hard drive enclosure is designed by Macally and looks like a mini mac tower. The hard drive was simple to install and I believe the aluminum housing dissipates any heat effectively. I'm very happy with this product. Was this review helpful?

This is a well built unit with a very nice appearance. I installed an extra 320 gig drive without any problems and worked like a dream. I only wish the power supply was built in, but then again you can't have everything, especially for the price. Was this review helpful?
