They were the 4077 MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit stationed three miles from the front. After months of living a stone's throw away form the daily bombings and dealing with the resulting nonstop casualties, the docs and nurses still managed to live up to their motto of delivering the "Best Care Anywhere." The only things that kept the continued stress of war from turning these docs into casualties themselves were their own surgically sharp wits, love of laughter, and the knowledge that they were often the only hope for the incoming wounded. This three disc collection includes all 20 episodes from Season Nine of M*A*S*H! Britt Gillette, The DVD Report "...devastatingly clever and often very poignant...still as sharp as their scalpels." David Johnson, DVD Verdict "...an excellent and successful television series...a must-own." Raphael Pour-Hashemi, DVD Times "Few movie-to-television adaptations even come close to the widespread popularity of the M*A*S*H spin-off." Editor's Note
The television comedy M*A*S*H debuted in 1972. In the process of becoming one of the most successful and beloved programs in TV history, it completely reinvented situation comedies. Based on Robert Altman's hit film, the sitcom ran for an astonishing 11 years. The line between comedy and drama has never been so delicately trod upon as in the series about the 4077th military medical hospital. Season nine includes the episodes "Cementing Relationships," "Death Takes a Holiday," "No Laughing Matter," and "Bless You, Hawkeye."
