A bomber is stalking New York City and sends Eve Dallas taunting letters promising to wreak mass terror and destruction among the "corrupt masses." When his cruel web of deceit threatens those she cares for most, Eve fights back. It's her city . . . it's her job . . . and it's hitting too close to home. Unabridged. 1 MP3 CD.

Annotation:
The ninth book in J.D. Robb's (a.k.a. Nora Roberts) romantic suspense series features the gutsy detective Eve Dallas and her loyal sidekick Peabody as they take on the murder investigation of a real estate tycoon and a case involving a group of terrorists bent on expressing their political views by planting bombs in various New York City hot spots. Aside from the suspense, Eve's relationship with her hunky husband Roarke is told in steamy detail. Meanwhile, Peabody and McNab finally give in to their carnal longings.

Author Bio
J. D. Robb
Nora Roberts didn't become an immediate best-selling author, but once she sold her first novel, she never looked back. A mother of two small children at the time, Roberts began writing in 1979 with a number-two pencil and a spiral notebook. She wrote sporadically while her two sons were at school, a schedule she maintained long after they had grown up and gone to college. Two years and several manuscripts after her initial attempt, her first novel, "Irish Thoroughbred", appeared, the first of over 100 novels she would write in the following two decades. While having dabbled in many of the genre's forms, Roberts has found most of her success writing contemporary romances flavored with both suspense and adventure. The youngest of five children, Roberts grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1968, she married Ronald Aufdem-Brinke, the father of her two children, but divorced him in 1985, the same year she married her second husband, Bruce Wilder.
