Based on the medieval legend of Tristan and Isolde, LOVESPELL is the tragic story of a king whose wife falls in love with his best friend and heir to the throne. Screen legend Richard Burton turns in a powerful performance as the deceived King of Cornwall, who falls madly in love with the Druid priestess Isolt (Kate Mulgrew) on a trip to Ireland. But when the King sends his nephew Tristan (Nicholas Clay) to deliver the marriage proposal, Isolt falls in love with him instead and prepares a magic potion that binds the lovers together--even beyond death--as the betrayed King rails with anger and grief.
