These speakers are amazing speakers, as well as a great value. I primarily use them for my dorm room but they can be used in so many more ways. I put up a tent in my backyard and these deceivingly small looking speakers filled up my entire backyard without a problem. Highly reccoment this product because they are compact, easy to set up, and have great sound quality. These speakers are the beest i've ever bought.

These speakers are a very good value in my opinion. Are they audiophile quality? Of course not, but for under $40, they sound great. I have some at work, a bigger room with lots of noise, and now at home. Sound great, the subwoofer can be a little strong if not dialed back, butif it's still too much, you can always adjust the equalizer on whatever music program you use. Highly recommend.

Unless you're truly looking for a set of speakers that nominally perform, avoid this set. Sound is bad...subwoofer has horrible performance and is muddled. You get what you pay for with this set.

I just got this Logitech S230 speaker system from BUY.Com and the system is FANTASTIC!. I updated my speakers from some older Labtech speakers and the difference is AMAZING! As some of the other reviews of this product stated, the base sound can be overwhelming, but it's better to have too much base capability than not enough, which is what you normally get in less expensive systems with a small sub woofer. This is not the case with this system. This sub woofer can bounce your ear drums with no problem. As for BUY.com, I paid for standard shipping (not the discount shipping) and I had the products in 3 days, which was a nice surprise. Beside this system, I purchased a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse which was shipped from another supplier and even that arrived on the same day. GREAT PRODUCTS, Service and best of all, GREAT PRICES!! BUY.com is now the first place I check when I'm buying anything. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

This 2.1 set cannot be beat. I used to get a TON of interference from cell phones on my old set, and upgrading to these stops that, and makes my music/movies sound much better. These aren't a hi-fi system setup, but for computer use if you don't have or want a big stereo setup, these are perfect

I'm an avid music listener and use these speakers to listen to music via my laptop. I'm very pleased with the quality of the sound for the price. I turn them up loud enough to hear music throughout my apartment and the quality of sound remains good.

For the price, you can't beat this system. For two fairly small speakers and a modest sized subwoofer, this little system sounds great. The subwoofer is a bit overpowering but if you turn it most of the way down it seems to balance out well with the speakers. This system isn't going to make your whole house shake but what do you expect to get out of I think it's 7 watts. But my cd's sound good and it kicks out pretty good. For anyone looking for a budget system I highly recommend.

For the price, the speakers work great and the base gives much moreo utput than i initially thought that it would. It was easy set up also, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy speakers for a laptop.

Yeah these speakers are pretty balla - the sub is so loud it's overpowering if you turn it all the way up, so I keep mine at a reasonable level. I don't think you'd need any more decibels than these put out, really. Very good sound quality too...no audible distortion when you crank up the volume. Great gangsta value overall, and highly recommended.

I got this Logitech system to go with my second computer. It is pretty bangin, for the money. I do NOT like the fact that the speakers are permanently tethered together and I am not a big fan of the big DB-15 type connector running from the control satellite to the sub, but what are ya gonna do? For most people, these speakers are perfectly adequate, maybe even quite good. They are plenty loud to make your neighbors complain.

First, I have to start off by saying that buy.com ROCKS! I ordered the free shipping (which is the slowest) and the speakers still got here in about 3 days! That was awesome. The speakers a really good quality! I didn't know if I should order them, because they were at such a cheap price, but after I read everybody's reviews I decided too. BEST DEcisiOn!They are easy to hook up, they sound great and I can't really say anything that hasnt already been said. They are great speakers!

I've been buying PC speakers for many years, and these guys are impressive- Great Price - Good Sound - Good Base - Fantastic Warranty ( 3 years ) I own two sets of these and logitech Z4. The only real complaint is the short length of cord between the two speakers. Buy.com has come a long way, just a year or so ago, it would be impossible to even find their number and returning things was always a hassle. Now they've stepped up and made shopping easier.

Bought these for my wife to use in her classroom, attached to the headphone jack on her Dell Inspiron laptop (it doesn't have an audio jack). The sound fills the room. No distortion. Sweet sub-woofer and clear satellites. Great value (especially with free shipping!)

These speakers/subwoofer are great. I mean...they aren't the BEST of them all...but for the price, they are truly a good buy. And also...about the subwoofer, don't try to have it at the max in volume! That's a bit TOO much right there.

I was looking for something fairly low cost so I could play a movie in my classroom. I was very pleasantly surprised! For the money, it is absolutely superb. Good, rich lows. Plenty of volume with no distortion. Set-up could not possibly simpler: just plug the components into the respective ports. Easy stuff. Highly recommended--no reservations.

They give a great sound in my office. The bass is super, and the highs are good too. We're getting one for my son at college ... for a little system that is quite reasonable, it rocks!!

I ordered the Logitech X230 speakers while waiting for the Logitech Z-5500 speakers to go on sale. I was so impressed with them that I can no longer justify the upgrade. In fact, I ordered a second pair for another PC. The second pair started humming after about 30 days, but they were replaced by buy.com without any issues and have been trouble-free since. The speaker cables are permanently attached to the speakers and connect to the sub via a proprietary cable so you can't get too crazy with your setup, but the speakers sound outstanding and are perfect for gaming and listening to music.

I always used the speakers that came with our computer. When I wanted a better sound I looked around and found these. It's great now to listen to music on the internet and have it sound like a stereo. I've been looking in the paper and other systems cost so much more. And like always Buy.com had the best price.

I have been enjoying these speakers for about 4 months now. Very good quality, a bit heavy on the bass end to my taste (I am using the subwoofer at the minimum setting). Overall a very good value.

Easy to setup, good bass sound, a little bit weak on the midrange, but with adjustments,very acceptable, even for an amateur audiophile. You can't do any better for the price. Ridiculously rapid delivery after order placed (3days). Buy.com is great.

These speakers sound great! If you are looking for computer speakers that simply sound great without worrying about all the high-tech audio mumbo jumbo or price, these are the best. Just hook them up and enjoy listening to your favorite songs. The quality of sound is incredible for the price paid. I'm ordering another set for our other computer.

This is a good speaker item for your ipod because it can hookup to ur ipod like a pair of earphones. So u dont have to spend close to or over a hundred bucks on those little speakers that cradle ur ipod. PLus it hook sup to ur computer too. It has pretty good bass in a pretty small package. Put it under ur desk or something to amplify the bass..... sounds real nice although it cannot handle really loud and really low bass tones.....if ur put the volume and bass volume on a good level the bass really shines but too much and it rattles

Okay, these are the best extension speakers I've ever heard. The sound is clear and full and the spacial resolution is absolutely stellar. Volume cranks without distorting, the bass sounds great when turned down to the lowest setting. (Any higher and it's muddy.) I've spent thousands on nearfield monitors for my recording studio, and have never had anything remotely close for casual listening. These are surprisingly close. I won't be mastering on them, of course, but I'll definitely use them for a quality secondary reference.

I listen to music like 4 to 5 hrs straight and I have been through loads of system from different companies ....if u r looking for descent and clear crisp sound quality than for desktop speakers it is an awesome and outstanding system and price is way low for quality and performance delivered by speakers...go for it u won't regret

I moved my Sony Amp and 4 150 watt speakers to the living room and these speakers do a great job of replacing that set-up. Not going to upset the people down the block when I play guitar hero with them, but they are making me very happy.

For the price, it is an excellent system, I find the subwoofer to be the weakest link, no input jacks, sound quality is OK. But, overall, for the price, probably can not be beat.

Ok, I know how they do it: cheap overseas labor. But for the money, this little system kicks a$$!!! Like other reviewers mentioned, the subwoofer is crazy powerful, had to turn it down to almost minimum. Also, mid-level is definitely low. But I generally like to listen to music with the highs and lows increased, so in a way this system sounds pretty good to me. This system won't blow your eardrums away, but is certainly loud enough for a party setting. One annoying design issue: the small speakers are so light that when you try to turn the system on or off, you have to hold the speaker with your other hand. The on-off button spring is way too rigid for such a light speaker.

This is the third Logitech speaker product I have purchased. Just as with the previous two, the X230s deliver a surprisingly high level of quality for a small price. The purchase was flawless as I have come to expect from Buy.com. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who wants very good quality, yet inexpensive speakers for general computer applications.

I just received my new speaker system for my pc and I have to say that for the price the value is there. I am very pleased with the sound quality, nice bass sound and I didn't have to adjust the woofer to get it. Very easy to set up and it came with adapters that I can attach to my television for better sound quality. I would recommend this product for the value. I also recieved it Fed-X ground within 2 days of placing my order and shipping was free. Great overall value and very happy with product and service.

You really can't go wrong for the price folks. I'm listening to them right now and they are cleeeean sounding, good bass, very solid. Depending on the sound quality of your tracks you can really hear the drums and other instruments in the tracks. Not for the audiophile, but a great great upgrade at a great price. And as usual Buy.com got it to me in less then 20 hrs.

I ran upstairs with the box, took em out of the box and set them up and hooked em up to my iPod... wow.. Very easy setup I might add, Just took one attachment of the speakers to the sub and to plug em in and you're set. I immediately played some music and was blown away by how well the sound was. Very unexpected for the size AND price. The price for these was unbelivable. Get these while they last!! Great set of speakers.

amazing for the price. a little bass heavy for certain types of music, but ample mids and highs from just 2 satellites and a sub. i don't imagine i'll ever take the sub past "one" on the dial. very pleased.
