Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - 910-000253 - Simplify life on the road

I'm very happy with this mouse. I like the fact that it is designed to be used on both hand (unlike some which are designed specifically for just the right hand). Very simple and portable, great for my laptop. I like the forward/backward buttons and the scroll button which can "free" scroll. The small size receiver is also great for my laptop (I can just install it and forget it). The on/off button on mouse is also useful. Very happy!!

I have previously had a logitech mouse that I enjoyed, so I wanted to go with logitech again. I wanted something smaller, and with a different material on the clicking area. Unfortunately, my previous mouse had a smooth plastic finish, which did not work well with coffee induced sweaty fingers. The Logitech VX Nano has the perfect clicking surface to prevent that nasty build-up of grime that accumulates on the smooth finish, and with oh so many more features. It is incredibly compact, with multiple programmable buttons, and the nano receiver stays in my macbook 24/7. The frictionless scroll wheel is the only thing that was an adjustment, but after you get the hang of it, you won't want to go back. My research paid off on this one!

The Logitech VX Nano is far and away the best mouse I have ever used. This is over and above the fact that it comes with a cordless receiver so tiny you can leave it in your laptop or, in my case, netbook PC. Further, it came with a protective case and two options for turning it off to conserve battery. Overall response of the mouse is excellent.

My decision to buy this mouse is mainly for its high speed scroll. The other advantage is the NANO receiver. It is small enough to leave it in the note book. Pros:- High Speed scroll, Precision Pointing, battery saving on-off switch Cons:- Smaller in size, back-forward buttons are not in a comfortable place.

I always like Logitech's products, and this mouse doesn't fail me. Its USB connector is very small, and you will feel very convenient when moving your labtop. Moreover, UPS delivered this to a wrong place; after I reported situation, Buy.com sent me another package and I got it within 2 days. I like this kind of service, and buy.com has given me a very good 1st impression.

I haven't figured out how to customize it for my main CAD application yet, but still I think this is one of the best mice I have ever used... I was previously a very big fan of Microsoft's mice, but this one is really great! Very comfortable, very convenient to leave in my laptop... I was concerned that the touchpad would be disabled because the reciever was in the computer, but unless I turn the mouse on my touchpad still works. Great battery life, and it doesn't ever bother me when it goes to sleep. It wakes up immediately, and a set of AA batetries look like they'll last almost half a year. I use the laptop every morning and night while riding the train home, and I have not found anything about it I don't like. Very good sensitivity, works on every surface that I have tried... What more could you ask? (I just need to figure out how to enable an alternate middle button click so I can rotate a solid model in SDRC I-Deas... It's a weird program, and it took some doing to get my Microsoft mouse to work right, too... Even if I don't figure that out, I still wouldn't trade this mouse for anything!

I'm very happy with this mouse...performance, feel, size...it's just what I was looking for. Easy to follow instruction, enough customization options to meet most needs, works perfectly, it's a great portable mouse for my laptop and the small receiver is wonderful. I've never purchased a Logitech product that I wasn't pleased with and this item is no exception. I would gladly recommend it.

Pretty nice and smooth. I feared it would be too small for big hands .. but not overly too small at all and nice enough to be portable. Incredibly fast to connect. Satisfied with the product.

I love this mouse!!! It works great and the receiver stays inside my laptop (in my very small thin case)without a problem. I have had the type with the bigger receivers that you had to pull each time but this tiny one beats it hands down. The mouse fits nicely in my hand as well. The only thing I wish it would have had was maybe an auto shut off if the mouse was left alone for like 15 minutes or so to extend the battery life. However as it stands I believe you still have to remember to hit the off button on the bottom of the mouse to save your battery. I may be wrong on this as I have not read the manual yet.

All I got to say is I take my laptop with me everywhere and of course the mouse goes to. I havent had an issue using it on any surface yet (tried on sofa, wood table, soft throw pillow, wifes head literally for a 1 minute). The forward and back buttons are a little awkward but you get used to it, and its not that small im 6'2 and have basktetball player hands & it doesnt feel awkward or small using it. Last but not least I love the fact that the receiver is so small I just leave it plugged into my laptop & dont even have to worry about catching it on anything. Just buy the Mouse ALREADY!!!!

This has been the best mouse I have owned since committing to the MS Wireless Notebook Mouse 3000 many years ago. The 3000 was great for both travel and home, but I decided to give the VX Nano a try. The Nano is now my favorite. It's small, but comfortable, and works perfectly on both my work PC and home Mac. Logitech has not ignored Mac users here, providing full support for all the Nano's functions, such as horizontal scrolling by tilting the mouse wheel. I also like that I can click the wheel to change the motion to smooth for really long scrolls, or clicky, for the standard wheel scrolling like with other mice. The buttons are comfortable to click, and are well placed for small/medium sized hands. If you have very large hands then a larger mouse will probably suit you better, but I would still give this one a try, as I find it very comfortable. I only wish that it was a bit cheaper, as $50 for a mouse is a bit much--$30 or less is more acceptable. Sometimes you can find it on sale, as I did, for $35, and if you do then be sure to pick it up.

Bought it for my Dell Netbook because of the small receiver. Love the fact that I can leave it plugged in all the time without it catching on anything. The mouse itself is a little small but it fits into the sleeve for the Netbook.

I bought this to replace a previous model of a Logitech notebook mouse that I had that had the receiver sticking out of my USB hole. Every time I would touch that receiver it would lock up my mouse until I reinsert it. Well, I went out comparison shopping on Logi's website and read up on their nano receivers and found a mouse that I would love to hold in my hand. Buy.com had the best price and I scooped it up. Now I am in love with this thing and I wish I had one for my PC, because it actually counts down the days of battery power you have left, and that is so cool. Anyway, I would recommend this for anyone who has long receiver sticking out of their laptop USB holes. Thanks

I've read most of the reviews on this page, and I 100% agree with all of the good reviews (I believe there was only one bad one from one that arrived damaged, which was not the mouse's fault). I love the SIZE, the PRECISION, the LOOK, and the RECEIVER is the best thing since sliced bread! I've had this mouse for almost a year now, and I don't know about 6 month battery life (I always change it earlier than when it goes dead because I'm afraid I'll be somewhere without AAA batteries and I won't be able to use it!), but it lasts a LONG time. In the past almost year, I think I've changed the batteries 2 times? And that was when they were still at 25% power left. Also - since I've had this mouse, at least 4-5 coworkers have also purchased this mouse and also LOVE it. It just looks TOO COOL, and they all love the receiver!

I've owned over a dozen different mouses over the years. They have ALL been at least $40.00 or more which means we're not comparing apples to oranges. I purchased the Microsoft VX6000 last year. What a mistake! This Logitech VX NANO Mouse is awsume and runs circles around the Microsoft. Because I'm online so long, this is extremely important as I've had hand problems from MOST devices forcing my hand to stay in a 'cupped' position. This makes for serious hand problems. I love the small but easily accessible clicking, scrolling or anything you want. It's so comfortable. I've had it for over 6 months and have purchased 3 more for family members. The little kids can actually use it too. This mouse's receiver STAYS in my notebook; you can't even notice it in the USB port it's so small! It will 'SLEEP' for you, power wise, or allow you to simply cut it off underneath. (2) AAA batteries last for months. This is a mouse I'll never get tired of using.

The Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse is almost a quantum leap in Mousedom! Longer lasting battery, smoother action, many features not found in other mice, and a menu page for options and checking on battery life. The neatest feature is the USB receiver: when plugged in, the visible portion is about 1/3" -- now that is truly great for laptops/notebooks, especially if yours is to be carried around; thus, as they advertise, you can plug it in and leave it there!

This is a GREAT little mouse with a very tiny reciever. It's nice running to meetings with NO cords. I like that the wheel can be put in free-spinning or normal mode (with resistance) - so you can spin to the bottom of a page if you like. I hope someone comes out with a case for this I can adhere to the top of my laptop.

I wish Logitech would make the tiny receiver used on this mouse for their other products. I saw their adds on their website touting the advancements of the receivers over the years and I have actually owned and used a variation of most of the trackballs they make and all of the receivers. I like my TrackMan Wheel wireless but the receiver is huge and has a standard USB connector which is problematic. Great product in every respect.

I have the VX Nano for my notebook and the MX 5000 (wireless) for my desktop. The VX Nano is a little too small; however it is a great unit for the road. I have no regrets for the purchases. Logitech makes awesome units. I have purchased several VX Nanos as gifts.

It's great. Just buy it. If you've read all the way down here, then you're leaning toward buying it anyway. The small USB plugin is great. The mouse feels great in your hand. It works everywhere. Just buy it.

This mouse is awesome for notebooks, I think it's too small to use it with a desktop but it's the perfect one if you transport your laptop often. I also have the MX revolution for my desktop computer and I don't regret my purchases, their are perfect for their respective use.

I got this mouse for my laptop, and let me tell you, it's a wonder I didn't think about getting it earlier. It came with Duracell AAA batteries, and I haven't needed to replace them yet after about 2 weeks of use. And the mouse is wonderful itself, very ergonomic and has extra buttons that really help. Definitely a great buy.

Got this mouse 2 days ago. Very nice and responsive. THe nano reciever is what caught my attention. Overall its pretty decent mouse. I recommend buying it. I'm Just a little bit confused though as to what that old guy (video review) on top reviewing cause i'm sure its not the va nano.

This is a great mouse and the best part is that the adapter that goes in the USB is so small there is no chance of breaking the port if you bump it when you move your laptop around. The battery life is good too.

When using wireless mice with my laptop, I had broken off the thumb-shaped USB receivers twice before. Since they had extended an inch or more from the side of the computer, any carelessness on my part led to being left with only the touchpad. This mouse solved that problem. The tiny receiver barely extends from the USB port at all, but reception is as good or better than any I've had before. I also am pleased with the laser function, as I can use it on almost any non-reflective surface. The mouse is a bit smaller than some others, but for notebook and travel purposes, this is actually an advantage for me. The package also contains a corded receiver should you want to use it, and the carrying bag is ideal when throwing this device into the notebook case.

Everyone at our house loves this mouse. It handles very well, is quick and nimble, very compact (as advertised) and it installs instantly - no delays. This was our second purchase of this same mouse; the experience this time a carbon copy of the first time. Highly recommended!

When we bought a laptop for my daughter's graduation, we also picked-up a MS wireless mouse. The transmitter was enormous, and sure-enough, she whacked the thing on a doorframe when moving the computer. Fortunately, the transmitter broke, not the computer. We replaced the mouse with this one, and the transmitter is so small that she leaves it plugged in all the time with no worries about damaging it or losing it.

If you are looking for a portable mouse get this one. The logitec VX is another good one for desktops. I have tried many mice and this one is the best. Do not get any of the Microsoft notebook mice- they are all junk compared to this one. The software is good but if you want more control there are free drivers that do much more (google the mouse to find them). Programmable buttons are great. I will only buy Logitec mice from now on!

Great mouse, well worth the price. The design is very stylish (I love the metallic trim on the scrolling wheel) and feels comfortable when using it. The main reason I bought this mouse is because of its battery life. (2 x AAA batteies will last 6 months, said on the box). I just got this mouse yesterday, and I am still waiting to see if the battery can really last for 6 month. Very satisfied so far.

nice mouse fits great in my hands and is super smooth all that one could expect in a wireless mouse. I especially like the fact that the usb reciever stores inside the mouse when you're traveling so there's a smaller chance of losing it.

This is a nice mouse, very well built. The nano receiver is staying in my laptop. The fast scrolling is great. No complaints, except one: The wheel does not have the capacity to be a "middle mouse button". This is a big problem for me, as I use it hundreds of times/day using it to change my 3D view in Pro/engineer. I have programmed one of the auxiliary buttons to do the "middle click" funtion, but it feels weird going to the left of the left button to middle click. the other option was the button directly rearward of the wheel, but that puts your hand into an awkward position.

I had used numerous wireless mice before trying the Logitech VX Nano mouse but its performance and style has brought all hands down. The quarter size USB receiver is in the center of attraction. I never (in the past 2 months) unplugged the USB receiver from my laptop. It goes where ever my laptop goes (on the podium, in my laptop carry case and even when I am carrying my laptop in my hand) with no fear of breaking. The rubber grips on the sides and smooth scroll wheel make your Internet surfing comfortable. Though I couldn't install the software that comes with the mouse (for using the rest f the buttons on the mouse)due to admin issues, I can recommend this product to every laptop user.

Mouse has very smooth motion. It feels and looks very nice! The only thing I don't like is that when you click on the roller it will switch between clicking and free-rolling instead of opening a new tab in internet explorer. Now I have to right-click and select to open a new tab.

This little mouse works great. I thought Vista might cause some trouble, but it worked perfectly the moment I inserted that super tiny USB key. That tiny key is worth it alone. I never take it out - it's as if I have a bluetooth connection. The mouse is very comfortable, the scroll is right on and the click is perfect, but I do wish it was slightly bigger for a regular guy's hand. Who decided that laptop mice had to be so small?

This is one well engineered mouse by Logitech, I can really get enthusiatic about. Although I have owned several fine Logitech mice models in the past, the VX Nano Laser cordless mouse is absolutely the ultimate especially for notebook users and travel. Comes complete in its own carrying case and the world's tiniest receiver snaps into the (2) AAA battery compartment and inactivates the mouse until it is ready to operate again. Great idea! Battery longevity seems very reasonable! Battery charge indicator locates onto taskbar. Although it has a few less customization options than some other Logitech desktop models, this mouse still has great customization features with Logitech SetPoint for its size. Ergonomically, this mouse far surpasses anything I have thus discovered to perfectly fit my medium sized hand. Accuracy and precision are unparalleled. Everything you would expect from a quality Logitech mouse and more! All my notebooks have now been converted to the VX Nano. Recently, misplaced my Nano receiver and Logitech's great customer service dept. sent me a new one right away for $10. Great company!

I own three notebooks and have gradually switched from Logitech's VX Revolution mice to this one. Attracted initially to the tiny size of the receiver, I soon realized that this mouse had greater accuracy, precision and speed than the former although it lacks a couple minor features the Revolution possesses. This VX Nano mouse more than makes up for that with its better overall ergonomics and ease of use. For small and medium size hands, I found nothing that compares to this. It has all the customizing features I really use regularly using the Logitech SetPoint. It takes 2 AA batteries and seem to last a reasonable time. A battery indicator on the PC lets you know when the battery is low. The receiver tucks neatly inside the battery case. Beautiful design! Thank you, Logitech!

Can't describe how much I love the mouse. The tiny tranmitter is great but the ergonomic feel of the shape of the mouse is perfect for me. Definitely recommend.

I currently have two Microsoft wireless optical 3000 series mice, which work fine. This Logitech mouse was purchased based on the small USB transmitter. The only thing I expected was that would not have to remove it every time I put my laptop in my bag. Turns out that it is a much better mouse than I expected. The accuracy of the pointer is dead on. It is very effortless and quite natural, I don't seem to pass the links on webpages as much. The scroll wheel feels great, very sturdy. You can 'spin' the wheel, which makes for scrolling long documents/webpages much easier. I thought the forward/back buttons on top were a little oddly placed, as they are not on the side for my thumb to use. Other than that, this is a fantastic mouse. I am going to buy another one for my office. Highly recommended.

Switching from an optical mouse, VX Nano is like night and day. It provides rediculously easy installation, very comfortable grip and absolutely amazing sensitivity. I use it at work for filling out forms with checkboxes and pull-down menus, and it has been working excellent. I strongly recommend it.

This is my second Logitech wireless mouse. This one overcomes some of the annoyances of my first wireless mouse. First the USB receiver no longer sticks out so far that it or your laptop can be easily damaged. I now leave the nano receiver permanently in my laptop. On my previous mouse I would occasionally lose the USB receiver when I dropped my mouse as the receiver is snapped onto the underside of the mouse for storage. With the nano mouse the receiver is safely stored inside the same compartment as the batteries. Operationally the mouse moves very smoothly. The mouse buttons click with minimal effort.

In almost 20 years of using mice I have never had one break. I opened this one and threw out the packaging. Stupid me. Two days later (after the garbage man took the garbage) I went to use it and it was DOA. The little receiver had a rattle. Not sure if that is normal. Windows returned an error on the USB device every time I plugged it in. Without packaging I had no choice to toss it. Even without using it it has problems. The batteries fit in one over the other with one of those silly pull tabs. The battery cover is flimzy and small enough to drop. If you do want to store the receiver you have to pop off the battery cover to do it. I think it's a bad design compared to prior models. It did have a nice feel and a nice scroll wheel but I couldn't really test it out. I've got one of the older Logitech mice where the receiver snaps into the bottom and serves as the off switch. I'm going to find another one of them. They work great.
