5 of 5 Nice mouse - I love it. Monday, March 16, 2009 A Customer from Iowa City, IA
Installation was a snap. It has worked flawlessly. It is nice not having that wire to tangle up, especially since the USB ports on my laptop are on the opposite side from where I use the mouse. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Smooth Precise Mouse Sunday, February 01, 2009 Mark from Portsmouth Ohio
I own 3 other Logitech mice that are all 2.4 GHz cordless and have been extremely happy with them so I wanted to try a Bluetooth with my new netbook . It has BT built in so no USB dongle. I was somewhat skeptical as another BT mouse I tried a few years ago was sloppy. This one however utilizes Logitech’s Laser technology. I’m happy to report it works as smoothly and with the same precision as my other USB Logitech’s. It also syncs up after boot-up pretty quickly. I would buy another.

5 of 5 Excellent mouse for the price Thursday, January 15, 2009 Dragonrider from Vicksburg, Mississippi
I was originally planning to buy a nano wireless mouse with the extremely short receiver to avoid any tangling wire and minimize the inconvience of having a receiver protruding from a laptop, which I had been doing research on the choices. Then I bought a wireless laptop equipped with Bluetooth. To take advantage of the Bluetooth and the additional Buy.com discount coupon that came just in time, I bought this mouse about 10 days ago. It was very easy to set up the wireless connection by Bluetooth. No wire, no external receiver! The battery-saving switch is a good feature and the pouch is a convenient storage for travel protection. The mouse is fast and accurate. Scrolling is easy. So far I have not used the zoom feature yet. All in all, it's been an excellent purchase so far. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great, So Far... Thursday, January 15, 2009 Michael67 from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
I was originally thinking of buying the Microsoft Arc because of its compact design and GREAT feel in the hand, but I didn’t like the thought of having to use a plug-in USB receiver when I have Bluetooth built-in my MSI U100-432. I'm very happy so far with the Logitech, as they usually make good, problem free products (I have other Logitech products, wireless keyboards, mice, webcam, etc.).
It seems to work with precision on most surfaces, even on my sheets in bed. The fit in my had is comfy (for a small mouse). Its design is simple and contemporary, but very functional. I did not install the software it came with, I use it directly with the standard pc mouse driver. The reason for this is that I’ve had other Logitech keyboards/mice and found the extra software to be full of additional functions, but it adds some unnecessary “weight” to the memory and there are more functions than I need. If I used my pc for play and not serious business, I may add the software. But, I just don’t need the bells and whistles.
Overall, I think you would be very happy with the performance of this product. However, I feel the price is a little much. I gave 5 stars for all except "price". I gave 4 stars.

5 of 5 It Just Works, Everywhere Thursday, September 25, 2008 J. Limpert from Chicago, IL
The Logitech mouse's plain Jane looks are deceiving. It's everything I need in a travel mouse:
1. Bluetooth works great. No USB dongle.
2. Tracking is robust on every surface I've tried.
3. Setup and connection is a snap.
4. The provided software was necessary for me in Vista, I couldn't setup without it.
5. Lightweight.
Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great performance Monday, September 15, 2008 Ashish from Groton, CT
This is a great product if you want good and precise glide without the hassle of a dongle. For me, this mouse replaced a microsoft wireless optical mouse. I am very happy with its performance would recommend it. Apart from the usual day to day usage, i work on very detailed visio diagrams. This mouse really helps when precision matters.
I only wish they had one in black. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Great Value Monday, September 15, 2008 A Customer from Oakland, NJ
I purchased the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Notebook Mouse and I have been very pleased during the first week of use. The mouse was $42 and so far it has been worth the money.
It took me a few times to figure how to get it to function automatically. On my PC I work with a wireless lan so I needed to get my wireless lan connection established first and then turn on the mouse otherwise it seemed to create some conflict.
Once operational it works great. It is bluetooth but requires my wireless device switch to be activated. There are no USB devices to plug in so it is very practical.
There is an on/off switch on the mouse that you need to remember to shut off when not in use, however, I have left it on several times and the battery is still strong.
I would highly recommend this.

5 of 5 Highly recommended -- great value Saturday, August 16, 2008 Tom M from Buffalo, NY
I bought the mouse back in March when there was a $15 rebate, I still highly recommend this product. It has great battery life. I have changed the batteries only once since March. It helps prolong the batteries by putting the mouse into sleep mode, which as some people noted takes a few seconds to reactivate if you leave it unattended for long. But the mouse connects in seconds when you turn it on and I have never had to reconfigure anything with my computer since I started using it. I went from a USB mouse to this Bluetooth one, and I will not go back. It is a smaller, easier to work with mouse I think. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Laptop traveling made easier Sunday, August 10, 2008 Brent from Newton, NC
I love this mouse. I use it extensively on the road on my laptop and use it also on my desktop computer at home. The fact that I don't have to worry about a fob to plug in to the usb port makes it worth it's weight in gold.
It connects easily to both my bluetooth laptop and desktop. After the easy initial setup all you do is turn the power button on the mouse to "on" and it does the rest. Even after it has been sitting idle for a long period of time it jumps to life pretty within a second or two.
Another great thing is the battery life. I have been using this thing for over a month now even leaving it on overnight and still hva enot had to change the battery. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good mouse with long battery life Monday, July 14, 2008 A Customer from Allen, TX
Use this mouse with my laptop that is my primary computer. Used with both Win XP and Ubuntu Linux. Use it everyday for a few hours at least. I used the same alkaline batteries since 3/18. They died on 7/8, almost 4 months. The mouse is sleak and well balanced. The on/off switch helps conserve battery. Make sure you computer has bluetooth receiver before you buy. 4 of 5 This mouse works if you udate the drivers Tuesday, June 17, 2008 USMC-Vietnam-Grunt from Ochlockonee Bay
After receiving the mouse I installed the software, and after turning on my Bluetooth antenna it found the mouse. It worked just fine, till I did a restart. I looked up my Bluetooth devices, and the mouse was there but there was no connection. This happened over and over until I downloaded the newest drivers. I guess they designed it to work with a Bluetooth USB plug in antenna, and forgot there are laptops with built in Bluetooth. They seemed to have caught on, and with the new software its no problem. Its great to have a Laptop mouse without having to plug in devices that protrude out.

3 of 5 great mouse but.... Monday, June 02, 2008 Alam from Jersey City, NJ
So the mouse works great. It does what its supposed to do and thats about it. pros are that i dont need a receiver since i have bluetooth built in to the laptop. its small but tall so not that easy to carry it in a thin bag. the battery seems to be doing well in terms of time.
cons- where do i begin. it was DOA, as many people had before me. Buy.com replaced it promptly. the mouse itself when it goes to sleep, it takes a bit shaking to get the cursor to move again.

Does everything well. It pairs quickly with my Dell laptop. My only complaint is that it does not have extra buttons for forward and back when browsing. It only has the basic buttons, but I can live with that. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little travel mouse Sunday, May 18, 2008 A Customer from Irvine, CA
This mouse is great, nice and small and no cables to connect! The on/off button on the bottom is great to give you the confidence that you're not draining your battery when not in use. I couldn't give a 5 for performance since occasionally there seems to be a slight "lag" in the pointer when using this mouse. Could be from wireless interference or just the nature of blue tooth. It's really no big deal at all and you get use to it after the first day. Overall I would highly recommend this mouse as a great "travel mouse" to be used with your notebook. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works Great!!! Thursday, May 01, 2008 A Customer from NY
The mouse was ready to be used in a few mins once the bluetooth device pairing was done. But passkey cannot be used for the pairing. Though the mouse looks so small it adjusts well to the palms shape. For my huge hand, I found it uncomfortable for the first few days, but now it seems to be good. When you power off and power on, it gets connects in a second. Also works well on any surface. I got this one in a good deal and the bluetooth is the way to go wireless which does not require the protruding USB receiver like other wireless mouses. Overall a great mouse for the price. The first one did not work at all, I sent it back, and Buy.com sent me a second one 10 days later. I did not install the sofware that comes with it, and the V470 works great so far, in term of tracking and ergonomic. Window take a few seconds to recognize the mouse after resuming from standby. 5 of 5 With the V470, you needn't be scared of Bluetooth Wednesday, April 09, 2008 Ellery Davies ... ellery (at) starbus (dot) com from Boston, MA
I bought the jazziest Windows notebook I could get my hands on (Dell XPS series). I also ensured that my preferred travel bag could accomodate a mouse. That's because sometimes even the best trackpad just won't do for GUI work such as editing and cropping photos.
The V470 is essentially the same as the V450, but without the need for a separate USB receiver. Instead, it works with your PCs Bluetooth transceiver. Does it really work? Yes - Perfectly! Here are the key results of my 1st week's use:
o Laser tracking, precision: 5
o Compatibility with Vista CPanel 5
(I am using Logitech ap which extends of Control Panel)
o Ergonomics Nice. Small but not "mini"
o Features 5
(latest Logitech goodies like 2D scroll & tilt wheel)
o Bttery Life (unknown)
I am a bit concerned that this model has an OFF switch. While the magazines think that this is a FEATURE, it suggests that the mouse does not have the ability to both shut down and instantly start up when moved. My desktop uses a 6 year old Logitech wireless mouse with no off switch. It runs about 2 years on a pair of AA batteries. This power-off switch leads me to suspect that the Bluetooth pairing takes time - and so it must maintain a signal - even when stationary - to avoid a long startup delay for pairing.
I do realize that the added "feature" of a power OFF should not be held against the design, but it really shouldn't be necessary unless the mouse really cannot risk shutting down between movements. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sweet Small Mouse Monday, April 07, 2008 Glenn from Pacifica, CA
Bought this with the $15 rebate. As such it was a great bargain and works perfectly with both my MacBook Pro and my IBM laptops.
Had some minor issues initially setting the mouse up on the IBM T43p but nothing major; super easy on the Mac.
Nice weight, perfect notebook size, comfortable and the power saving switch is a very nice touch. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Very Disappointing Monday, April 07, 2008 A Customer from Colorado Springs, CO
For all the reviews and the price (w/ rebate, back then) was very good, I got this mouse. Mainly just to replace my microsoft notebook laser mouse 6000 which is USB/wireless. I was very satisfied with the MS mouse but just didn't like the USB plug-in thingy.
Anyway, after trying this v470 for a couple of days, it's just very disappointing. First, the performance is very choppy and the cursor is jumping around often time. I thought, because the reviews were good, the technology for bluetooth mouse got much more developed now.... but what I found is NO, NO, NO WAY.
Also, the grip is not as comfortable as the MS notebook mouse. It's a shame for Logitech!
It's ironical that Microsoft is very bad at Windows user interface but good at hardware user interface which is keyboards and mice. Apple is kinda the other way around. It's nothing to do with Logitech, though. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great lil Mouse Monday, April 07, 2008 ND from Cin OH
Easy to use set up and connect to PC. Seems to fall a sleep after a few mins of no movement. No biggie wakes up quick. If you have big hands (palm a basketball big), mouse may be a bit small and cause some pain in your hands. Great mouse good price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Just as ordered Saturday, April 05, 2008 crawfishpie230 from Elyria, OH
Small and compact, this Bluetooth mouse is a nice addition to my new laptop. As others have noted, it took a couple of tries to get it connected and it lags by a couple of seconds when first booting up the computer, but it works really well and fits my needs quite well. Since I use it as an everyday mouse, ideally I might choose something a little bigger that fits my hand more fully, but I have no complaints at all. It is perfect to travel with, and I especially like the on/off switch to save battery time. I recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little mouse Saturday, April 05, 2008 John Miller from Tempe, AZ
This little bluetooth mouse from Logitech is of the same fine quality I've come to expect from Logitech. It's small, smooth, and the buttons can be programmed. For instance, the wheel can be set to move you forward and backward in browser frames by setting the side to side function that way instead of just using it as a sideways scroll function, which most people don't use, anyway. My mouse has worked flawlessly in the two weeks i've had it. It was an easy set up, and works much better than any ball or optical. The size is perfect for my laptop. 5 of 5 Works well, workaround for multiple BT mice Tuesday, April 01, 2008 -stevey from Colorado
No wires, no mess! Only encountered a small problem when running dual mice and installing SetPoint. I have a Dell (also a logitech) BT mouse. Running Vista Ultimate on an Inspiron 1420 CTO. If you are going to install 2 mice (1 for home, 1 for on the road), suggest:
(1) Turn both mice off!
(2) De-install Dell SetPoint
(3) Install Logitech SetPoint
(4) Pair up 1 mouse via SetPoint Tools
(5) Turn off 1st mouse
(6) Pair up 2nd mouse via SetPoint Tools
-----
Now you can enjoy the ability to run 1 mouse at home or office and keep the spare in the bag for those times when you are on the go. I'm not experienced with other Logitech BT devices, but my guess is that this would probably work for other pairings until SetPoint allowed multiple configs. Maybe I am just not doing this right, but this seemed to work for me! Was this review helpful?

This smart looking mouse shines in my eyes. Looks great next to my laptop and operates like a champ. No Wires/No USB transmitter - so I get to keep my USB port freed up. Automatically loads when computer turns on. Convenient On/Off switch underneath. Long lasting batteries. And scroll wheel to go left to right as well as up and down. Perfect size too - not too large but big enough. Comfortable. Will not look beyond Logitech again. Microsoft was sent back. Was this review helpful?
