The usb part is small. Works real nice. Has a switch to turn off the battery. Works fine at a long distance also.

This mouse is a good compromise for a travel mouse. It's small, but not too small (I have large hands, and it's still adequate). It's light but not too light (I dislike extremely light mice). The USB plug is small, but could be smaller (you can buy the next model up and get the really small USB plug if you want to spend the money). The plug fitting into the mouse when not in use is nice, although it's a little snug in there and I have to use my fingernails to get it out each time. My other complaint is about tracking, I don't feel like it tracks as smoothly as it could. Even after turning off the software options for acceleration, It's still kind of hard to predict the movements accurately. This is really only a problem I notice when playing WoW because it takes just a slight bit longer for me to click on what I need. Overall, a 4/5, I doubt for the price there is a better mouse available.

This is the second Logitech V450 Laser cordless I've purchased and I'm very pleased with it. My wife and I use them for our laptops and I like the idea of being able to turn it off to conserve the battery. Buy.com shipping was quick and price was right.

This was a great buy, worked right out of the box just plug and go. Fluid movements and plugging the usb connection into the mouse and turning it off is a great space and battery saver. Would recommend to anyone.

plug and play, makes using my laptop much faster and easier. I am not very good with touch pads. Very nice design! Storing the usb connector in the mouse makes it hard to loose and extends battery life. The armrest of my easy chair works great as a mouse pad. We have 3 PCs and a Logitech mouse on everyone.

Good quality and easily transportable. The receiver is small and less susceptible to damage. The mouse tracks accurately and the programmable buttons are easy to set up and use.

As usual, Logitech makes a great mouse. Logitech is what I use for my PC's, but this is my first notebook mouse, and I was afraid it would be too small, like others I have seen. But it is just right, and works just about anywhere, including on the carpet. I especially like the storage for the USB receiver. Nifty. The only thing missing... a carrying pouch to protect it in my notebook carrying case.

The laser tracking is the best. I will never buy another optical mouse again. The USB receiver is about half the size of most receivers I've seen for this generation of mouse (if you want an even shorter receiver, check out the new Logitech v450 Nano). Battery life is exceptional--I've had this mouse for over six months and the original batteries are still going strong.

Simply install the batteries, slide the transmitter/receiver out of the bottom of the mouse, plug it into a USB port and you are ready to go. The mouse comes with installation software but there is no need for it. The mouse is small, responsive on every surface I have tried and feels good in the hand. Storing the transmitter/receiver in the bottom of the mouse shuts off the power and is an extremely convenient feature. .

Best mouse I've ever owned. The tiny USB receiver works perfecctly even when plugged into the USB1.1 port on my Dell keyboard. Pointer speed did require a bit of tweaking but Logitech makes that easy or you can adjust via Windows control panel. This was my first laser and it is noticeably more accurate & responsive than my old optical mouse.

I think Logitech products are great. I've used their mice for over 15 years now, and think that this one is the best of the lot. For a laptop, it is ideal. It is a bit smaller which befits its purpose. The power switch is activated when you pull out the wireless USB receiver, which makes it impossible to leave on accidentally. Thus, battery power is the advertised year (or longer). The laser mouse works with whatever random conference table you'll be positioned at, and overall the mouse feels solid.

With the rebate Ithink I paid $15. I have XP and I Didn't have to donwload anything, not even the software that came with it and it just worked instantly.

This mouse is slightly smaller than a std. It feels good, setup was easy, the usb transmitter is smaller than others which makes it nice. I've always liked Logitech products so I went for this one. The laser has worked on any surface and connects even farther than I can see the screen. If I lost it, I would buy the same one. I kinda got screwed out of a rebate though, I thought I got it from Buy.com but, it was through Buy.com but from another market. No problem. It functions so well I'm just glad to have it. Bob

I like the small USB controller that fits perfectly inside the mouse. The mouse is very sensitive, no red light and easy to hold and move around on most surfaces except glass.

Great little mouse, very fast and works at a good distance from receiver. Also able to use remotely with notebook/receiver inside closed desk cabinet with distance plus 10 feet away.

Don't be fooled by its size. This is truly a "Mighty Mouse". It is small but, fits comfortably in the palm of your hand for easy accurate movement. The additonal commands on the scroll wheel, makes this a pleasure to use reading and deleting e-mails. The on-off switch, and storable USB are nice features. I would rate this a 5+.

This mouse worked great at first, but after about a month of use it's scroll wheel quit working. If that is not enough, now it randomly scrolls whenever it wants even when you aren't touching it. It is comfortable, it works on almost any surface, but if that is all the longer it lasts, then it's not worth it's price even with discounts and rebates. Logitech's quality seems to be lacking these days.

I was getting tired of using the touch pad on my laptop and a friend of mine recommended this cordless mouse. I was a little bit skeptical at first because I had had bad experiences with mice like this in the past. However, this mouse has made me a believer again. It works perfectly. I work in an environment that has a ton of other wireless signals buzzing around but my little mouse doesn't seem to notice. It was extremely easy to set up and now it works like a dream. The Logitech V450 is the ultimate practical traveling companion for those that just cannot get by with a touchpad alone. While possibly too small for comfort for a person with a very large hand, most should readily adapt to it. Mouse movement is accurate and responsive with no hesitations. The freedom from wires is a pleasure that cannot be beat. The 2.4 GHz usb receiver created no interference issues with other similar devices such as wireless phones, a second mouse, or a wireless router. All in all, highly recommended, and a great value if you can purchase it when a rebate is around.

easy to install works great ... probably not for large "man hands" but ok for med and small size mens and womens hands..I have not played with the settings on disk ...works fine for me right out of the box ...The scrow mechinism is a bit hard to push to do other options with compared to my old microsoft cordless... battery life seems good .... works as advertized ...not the second coming of "mice" but then it's JUST a mouse stupid ;>)...not having the "hocky puck" attached too a cord like microsoft cordless have ...yhat falls all over the place or hangs after falling... is a big plus ...if you buy any cordless mouse buy one like this one that does not have wire and hockey puck( which in my mind is a semi cordless) but just a small usb plug in that sticks out about an inch ...oh yah I use this with my desktop...

I actually bought this for a desk top computer. I did call logitech to make sure it was compatable first. It works great. No problems at all. I compared prices at local stores and this beat everyone - my total cost was $18.79 after rebate. Recommend to buy it.

It is a nice sized mouse good for both your laptop and desktop. I like the fact that the USB connector fits under the mouse. I have used several cordless mice (including Microsoft) and I always had problems with compatibility. Never an issue with this mouse. So far, the best cordless mouse I have ever used.
