5 of 5 Absolutely flawless Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Greg from Hurricane, WV
The mouse works exactly as it should. Connects instantly when told to and maintains a solid connection during the most intense web-surfing and gaming. Almost makes me want to get bluetooth on my desktop.
The only problem I had was not with the mouse, but the laptop, as the default hardware configuration had the bluetooth disabled and I had to figure that out and go into the CMOS and enable it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very pleased Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from NJ
This travel mouse works great. It connects everytime
with the bluetooth interface. It is compact but also
comfortable enough to use everyday for long periods.
There is a brief delay upon startup when first
using it as part of a power saving feature, but after
the initial wakeup it never interferes with normal use.
Some have reported that the mouse moves quickly, It does,
but one does get used to it. It is probably a feature
because a travel mouse is usually used on confined
desktop spaces. I'm more than pleased with it overall. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works always - free of wire Monday, September 17, 2007 BT Crazy from San Jose, CA
Initial setup was ease. I had to add the device to a list of allowable devices to initiate a connection under Accessibility tab.
I have MX5000-Keyboard/Mouse combo, which I use at work. I use V270 at home. Both connects to the same laptop and works fine at both locations. I love the flexibility without the dongle.. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 My HP laptop found its perfect mouse Friday, August 10, 2007 Vincent from Homestead, FL
I HATE laptop touch pads (try playing Halo with one). Got this mouse for Christmas 2006. Worked nearly flawlessly since the beginning. Have had to change batteries about every two months; that's two months of consistent daily use; seems reasonable. Obviously, you should power off the mouse when not using for extended periods; I religiously store it in its zippered pouch, and it remains in pristine condition. Rarely loses connection with my HP laptop (typically when battery starts to get low). Works great in Windows XP for applications, and even runs smoothly for my games; we're talking first person shooters (e.g., Halo, Counter-Strike Source, Call of Duty), action/adventure (Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Indiana Jone and the Emperor's Tomb), RPGs (World of Warcraft), strategy (X-Men Legends 2, Total War), etc. Solid feeling, smooth movement, responsive clicking and scrolling. I have NOT installed the Logitech software, as I did not feel the need to load any more extra stuff during startup, and whatever features it offers I am certain I can probably live without; the laptop's built-in HP Bluetooth drivers seem quite functional, sufficient, and problem-free. Mouse's sleep function doesn't seem to be problematic for me -- wakes up in less than two seconds typically. Also, I found for myself that for best results, I power on the laptop first and allow Windows XP to fully load; then I power on the mouse and it tends to connect within milliseconds and stays connected. Overall, very good experience with this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little mouse Wednesday, August 08, 2007 Paul from Santa Cruz, CA
I purchased this mouse because I wanted to take advantage of the built in Bluetooth on my notebook. The look and feel of this mouse is exactly like their 2.4 GHz version, only without the little USB dongle. The mouse just plain works, as simple as taking it out of it's little cushy case, and switching it on. Pairing is super simple too, with a dedicated button on the bottom. Size and ergonomics are quite good, and operation is flawless. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Have Vista - Think Again, IMHO Sunday, August 05, 2007 Should have just bought a USB Wireless to begin with from Tucson, AZ
Part I -- Here's the long story short. Bought a new laptop. Thought it had Bluetooth. Bought this bluetooth mouse. Turns out -- no blue tooth inherent on my laptop. So, bought a dongle, whatever, bluetooth adapter -- looks like a thumb drive. Install driver with it (the adapter). Seems to work fine.
Part II -- Installed the mouse driver. Oops, not Vista, so I went to web site, contacted tech support via online chat, eventually get new driver. Load driver. Tell Bluetooth to install mouse. Okay. Vista tries to find driver. Okay, that fails. Vista asks if it can look for driver. Okay, that fails. I tell Vista where driver is. Eventually it finds driver and says we are good to go. Except 60% of the time the mouse doesn't work. So I reboot computer and try again.
Part III -- Did this for about two weeks and went out and bought a USB cordless mouse for 20 bucks that works instantly every time. Not sure what the beef was with Bluetooth and Vista or maybe my hp laptop -- but it wasn't worth the aggravation.

5 of 5 GREAT MOUSE! Friday, July 06, 2007 Sandy from Las Vegas, NV
The Logitech V270 is a great bluetooth mouse. It fits nicely in your hand, unlike other laptop mice which are too small. My laptop instantly recgonized the mouse without using the CD that came with it. It also comes with a handy zippered case which can easily be packed in your laptop bag. The V270 also has an on/off switch underneath so you can turn it off when not using, to save batteries. I highly recommend this mouse to anyone who has bluetooth integrated in their computer. 5 of 5 Worked Perfect First Time Thursday, July 05, 2007 A Customer from Slingerlands, New York
I recently bought two for Dell laptops (1505 and 1705) with vista home premium. During installation of bluetooth they were recognized right away. A nice feature is the ability to turn the mouse off to conserve batteries. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for Black Macbook Friday, June 22, 2007 A Customer from Princeton, NJ
just got it, turn it on, ready to use. Greate shape, perfect match with my black macbook. But the LCC can't find the mouse, I don't know why, and 3 buttons are a little bit few. Overall, it's the best BT mouse for black Macbook in my opinion. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great mouse Thursday, June 07, 2007 A Customer from Grosse Pointe, Michigan
Works like a charm. Was able to quickly set it up through the bluetooth on my computer without using the installation disk. Great feel and sensitivity. Like others, I need to back off the mouse movement rate. I love having a wireless mouse on my laptop without the dongle! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Mouse Sunday, May 13, 2007 Jorge from Austin, TX
I liked this mouse so much that when I lost my original one I decided to make my replacement mouse the same one. The mouse feels good in your hand. Just the right weight. The included drivers caused issues so I defaulted to built in bluetooth drivers and that worked great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good product and good service Saturday, March 17, 2007 playajim from Playa Del Rey, CA

5 of 5 Logitech reinvents the practical Monday, March 05, 2007 acitydweller from New York City
Back to basics with Bluetooth. Logitech has now made a great mouse even better with bluetooth support. The buttons have a firm click tactile feel and it fits well in my relatively large hand. (not soft and mooshy like old mice). It provides an on/off switch to extend battery life and works great with my blue tooth enabled laptop where no usb Dongle needs to be protruding out. This was my number one reason to use a bluetooth mouse over a usb version. This is a great accessory for those who find it more efficient to work with a mouse than the touch pads or finger pointers on current day laptops. Install the logitech included software for additional enhancements. I am personally well satisfied with this notebook mouse and made it a point to share a review. I hope this helps in your decision making. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 My first Bluetooth mouse Friday, March 02, 2007 A Customer from Homestead, FL
So far, very good experience with this mouse. I have always had good things to say about Logitech products. Virtually zero effort setup with my Bluetooth-equipped HP laptop. Feels comfortable, buttons and wheel work fine, and movement seems smooth, even during gaming -- and I mean all sorts of gaming, including FPS, strategy, RPG like World of WarCraft, etc. Very rarely have any disconnect problems, and virtually no delays waking up from sleep mode. Best practice for me is to allow laptop to fully boot and load Windows (Media Center Edition) and then turn on mouse -- connects instantly. Battery life seemed impressive -- installed manufacturer's batteries on Dec. 25 and they lasted until Feb. 15; not bad. And this is with constant, daily use. 5 stars! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great mouse... Wednesday, January 31, 2007 Smak from Irvine, CA
This mouse is great, and more importantly, it feels great. Awesome tracking performance, and it feels very sturdy and solid in your hand. Very nice buttons as well, do not feel cheap, which is pretty amazing considering the price.
Highly recommended! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Bluetooth Mouse Sunday, October 15, 2006 A Customer from Syracuse, IN
This Logitech V270 is a great Bluetooth Mouse. I am using it on a Dell XPS Laptop computer running Windows XP Professional. It was easy to install and it works great with out installing the software that came with the mouse. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good mouse, weight slightly unbalanced Thursday, October 12, 2006 Chuang from Ames, Iowa
Just received one from buy.com. It works in 60 seconds after unpacking. Did not install the software and it connects with the bluetooth with little effort. The size is right, not too large, not too small. The shape is good (4 of 5 in this aspect).
Cons: The weight becomes unbalanced after installing the batteries. Logitech is kind to include two duracell AA batteries, but they are really heavy for a mouse. The center of mass is not right, so lifting the mouse is a little bit uncomfortable (for some reason I do that with a wired mouse). I am planning to install non-brand name batteries, which will be light. I believe that battery life is not an issue given the little power required by bluetooth.
The mouse is a little over sensitive (supposed to be a good thing). I have to reduce the Windows XP mouse sensitivity to the minimum, and the cursor still moves fast. Not a big issue after getting used to it. Didn't want to install the software becasue it is 42MB; that might (or might not) solve the issue. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent mouse Wednesday, October 04, 2006 Arie90435 from Albany, NY
It is as simple as putting in the batteries, finding and pairing the mouse to your computer. No USB ports needed, no software - it just works with your BT enabled computer, and how many things can we say that about?!
The ergonomic factor is also excellent - I have used mouses both larger and smaller and this is a good fit for me although of course YMMV.
Finally, it doesn't devour batteries as other BT mice I have used tended to do. I don't turn it off at night and it has been working with the same alkaline batteries for at least 2 weeks. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Easy to use, connects right up Wednesday, October 04, 2006 A Customer from NH
I have a DELL laptop w/Bluetooth and this mouse connected up in about 5 seconds out of the box (and batteries installed). Feels nice in hand, a bit heavy with both AA batteries but it will work with just one AA in...
Very happy with this mouse. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Does what should it do Saturday, August 19, 2006 A Customer from Berkeley,CA
Easy to use, responsive and lightweight to carry around. No setup involved at all; I didn't use the CD that comes with this mouse. Unwrap, insert battries, power on and voila.
I tried it with both a iMac and WinXP notebook works fine with both. Was this review helpful?

Terrific bluetooth mouse. Very well made. Not as large as regular Logitech mice, but still very ergonomic. Bought it to use with Dell Latitude 620. The Dell comes with Toshiba Bluetooth stack which should be removed first...then install the provided Logitech software / drivers. Everything is adjustable from the Logitech control panel. It comes with a convenient little case and a new set of Duracell AA's. It has an ON/OFF switch on the bottom to preserve batteries when not in use. It also has a RESET button located on the bottom. It took a few minutes to set up, but well worth it. It works great! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 V270 works well with an E1505 Wednesday, July 26, 2006 A Customer from LA, CA
I ordered this mouse yesterday, and it arrived today! I unpacked it, stuck in the batteries that came with it, and connected to it with my BT manager. It was working within a few seconds. I had to turn the sensitiviy down for this system (1680x1050). The mouse seemed somewhat heavy, so I took one of the AA batteries out, and it still works fine. I also tried this mouse on my desktop system, which uses a TRENDnet BT dongle - it works fine. I didnt install the Logitech software, since I found no need for it. I tested it between 3 rooms and about 25 feet... worked fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value for the price - excellent mouse Wednesday, July 26, 2006 A Customer from Sunnyvale, CA
Set up/Installation - takes a few mins to run the CD provided with the product. Pretty easy to do.
If your laptop has bluetooth feature, it would pick up the mouse right away.
Ease of use - Excellent. Very good sensitivity.
Range - Excellent range - i was able to operate the mouse from about 15 feet. Of course i was only able to see the pointer move, and not the contents on the screen
Power feature - the ON/OFF option is nice. You can turn off when not in use to conserve battery power.
Case - Travel case provided with the product is pretty cool. I use it to carry in my laptop bag. Before i got the product, i was wondering how i was going to carry this small piece. Case is a great idea. Kudos to Logitec for this wonderful product. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 nice bt mouse Wednesday, July 26, 2006 A Customer from New York, NY
Bought this for my Latitude D610 with Dell wireless 350 internal bluetooth. Nice size (somewhere between a travel mouse and a desktop mouse), and I like the added weight of the 2 AA batteries (included, which was a pleasant surprise), although the back of the mouse is a bit high. I had the standard Toshiba BT stack installed by Dell, so I couldn't install the logitech software or drivers. The mouse was picked up immediately anyway - I didn't even have to hit the connect button. Powersaving is a bit too aggressive - after a few seconds not being used, there will be a <1 sec delay. I installed the Widcomm BT stack to see if I could turn off this power management when the logitech drivers were installed, but no luck. It's not that big a deal and I'm sure I'll get used to it, but may not be good for games, although how often do you stop moving the mouse when playing games? I think it started tracking better when the logitech drivers were installed with the Widcomm stack, but this may have been my imagination, and it was perfectly fine before. Logitech setpoint software doesn't get along well with the trackpad software, so I told setpoint to just let windows control the mouse and deactivated setpoint (freeing up 10 mb ram in the process.) Overall a great mouse. Was this review helpful?

For mac users this is a perfect mouse. It works as soon as you get it out of the box and put batteries in it. PC users unfortunately must have lower technology, because I see no reason to not give this mouse a five star rating. It looks cool, and feels great! So for those of you wanting to free up a USB port, and have a mouse that works like it is not a cordless. This is the perfect mouse! Was this review helpful?
10 of 10 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 An excellent mouse Monday, April 17, 2006 Andrew H. from Urbana, IL

This mouse just arrived today. I unpacked the mouse, turned it on, and told my Apple to attach it to the system. Within five seconds, the mouse was working just fine. The 1000-dpi sensor had the cursor zipping across the screen too fast for me, so I had to turn down the sensitivity through the operating system. If I crank up the sensitivity all the way, moving the mouse about half an inch throws is all the way across a 1024x768 display. The high-resolution sensor also yields excellent tracking. The mouse responds perfectly on my jeans, on my shirt, on my couch, even on my head!

I bought this mouse particularly because of its Bluetooth capability. With no USB cord or wireless receiver, I don't have to worry about putting physical stress on the USB ports when traveling. I haven't tested the full range of the mouse, but it at works well at six feet, which is nearing the visibility limits of a portable computer display.

The device seems very aggressive about power conservation. As soon as it stops detecting motion, the scanner dims. It gets dimmer as the ambient light dims, maintaining just enough brightness to provide contrast with natural lighting. This can be seen by holding the mouse in the air, and slowly covering the sensor with a finger. Hopefully such sophisticated power management will live up to the three-month battery life promised by Logitech.

The size is good, too. It's big enough that it isn't uncomfortable to hold, yet small enough to pack easily. This device would have been worth twice the price, which is just about what Apple is charging for it in their stores. This is a great value, easy to install, comfortable and well-performing. As always, Logitech has done good work.
