3 of 5 Short battery life as it gets older Friday, January 25, 2008
A Customer from Jacksonville, FL

Easy to set up and works great with fresh batteries. I've had this for 6 months. I have put in 3 sets of batteries in the past couple of months. The BT signal must get weak because the mouse pointer freezes. Fresh batteries get it back up and running.

5 of 5 Works Great!!! Tuesday, September 25, 2007
tgaffer from Brooklyn, NY
Right out of the box it just worked. As soon as I turned it on my Dell Inspiron E1505 found it and installed it. It worked perfectly! 2 weeks later I haven't even install the software that came with it yet. It just works. I left the switch on for 2 days and nothing happened it kept on working. I still haven't changed the batteries.

5 of 5 Awesome device Friday, August 31, 2007
Flaaash from Arcadia, CA
Strength - Connects flawlessly automatically once I turn on the mouse. Doesn't matter if I turn it on before I boot the computer or after, it will automatically find it. - Battery life is great, haven't changed it yet. I use it 4-5 hours a week. - mouse is relatively smooth and responsive. No delay that I notice. - small enough to carry, but big enough to feel comfortable in your hand. - silver matches my Dell X10 :) Weakness - I did notice a slight delay starting back up when the mouse enters into sleep mode. I guess it's to conserve energy, which I think is a decent trade off. I'm not too particularly concern about it like some other posts I've seen.

4 of 5 Good, but not great Monday, August 27, 2007
Geoff from Eden Prairie, MN
I do really like the mouse, mainly because with bluetooth built in to my laptop I don't need an extra dongle. But I've noticed the battery life isn't as good as my other non-bluetooth Logitech mice (I have a pair of LX500 wireless desktops - and they seem to last around twice as long - many months). Also, no tilt on the wheel is annoying (I get used to that on the LX500 mouse). One other annoyance is that the battery bay isn't tight (the spring on the right side is too loose, and it would require some work to figure out how to make it tighter).

5 of 5 Easy, reliable at good value Friday, August 17, 2007
A Customer from Sparta, NJ
This bluetooth mouse worked easily straight out of the box. It has worked the same as our old wired version! The only thing I'd improve is having more buttons which is often lacking in bluetooth mouses.

4 of 5 Connection Issues With iMac Saturday, August 11, 2007
steve from Fort Smith, AR
The V270 mouse is a good mouse. However, it has to connect every time I turn on my iMac and it takes a while. Sometimes I get a message saying a mouse could not be found. If it is found, I still get a message saying it connected but the installation was interrupted. I have searched the web but have not found anyone who has posted about this problem.

4 of 5 Good mouse with few drawbacks Tuesday, July 03, 2007
A Customer from Kalamazoo, MI
This was a great buy for me after rebate and Google checkout. The mouse works perfectly and installation was quick without Logitech software. XP recommends using a Pass code during installation, however, the mouse is not compatible with it. So had to go ahead without the pass code. I think this is a security feature. Later I downloaded the Logitech software & installed, but I found it not much useful unless one needs to really fine tune the sensitivity etc. It'll just take up disk space and memory and I uninstalled it. the mouse works seamlessly during use. The mouse going to sleep mode was not a problem. It seems people who had problems with it have issues with their blue tooth devices, not the mouse. I use a IBM Think Pad, and no problems. Even after turning on, it only takes like 3sec. to operate. The higher sensitivity was not a problem for me, though it needs some getting used to. It's kind of nice too because you can move all over the screen with little effort. Even if mouse accommodates for 2 AA batteries, the power rating is 1.5V, which means it works with only one battery. Then it'll drain in half the time obviously. The drawbacks are due to its design. The back is too high. So one with small hands won't be comfortable with this. Also it's very heavy with 2 batteries. Thus I opted to use one battery. Other than that this is a nice device, built nicely and looks professional.

5 of 5 Expensive, Excellent Product Tuesday, May 29, 2007
A Customer from London, UK
Installed it in 20 seconds using Windows Vista. No extra installation software required. Runs smoothly and is very precise. On/Off switch a very intelligent feature. Simple, excellent piece of hardware. A bit pricey. No-brainer if you have a Bluetooth-enabled computer.

4 of 5 Good value for Bluetooth Monday, May 28, 2007
Steve Miller from Marion Ohio
For notebooks with touchpads - just add the mouse through the bluetooth connections on your computer. The documentation and software included in the package are worthless - but the mouse works very good. I am glad to have a bluetooth mouse for $40 and batteries are holding up well!

1 of 5 Useless for Macbooks Friday, May 04, 2007
The Saint from San Diego, CA
If you intend to use this with a Macbook (OS X), forget it. It disconnects every 2-3 minutes for 6-12 seconds. After searching the web I found out that this is a universal problem, with no known fixes. I emailed Logitech about this, but they have not bothered to respond. Don't waste your money if you are a Mac user. (On Windows it seems to work better).

5 of 5 V270 working with Dell E1505 Bluetooth Saturday, April 14, 2007
Ken from Cincinnati, Ohio
This Logitech V270 mouse is working well with my Dell E1505 notebook running Windows Vista. I like the fact that it works with the installed Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module (P/N 430-1795) and there is no USB receiver to have to carry around and plug in. It was easy to connect. I simply opened the Bluetooth Devices applet in the Control Panel, turned the mouse on, clicked "Add" in the Devices tab, and selected the Bluetooth Travel Mouse and no passkey. No need to install the Logitech SetPoint software.

5 of 5 Good Bluetooth Mouse but ... Friday, April 13, 2007
Al K from McDaniel, MD
I use mouse with Vista Premium. When I tried to install it with Logitec software, a conflict with Vista bluetooth software occurred. When I uninstalled Logitech software, mouse worked fine.

5 of 5 Good alternative for Mighty Mouse Monday, April 09, 2007
briantology from Tulsa, OK
This little (it's not that little, it fits nicely in my big hand) bluetooth mouse was a great alternative to Apple's bluetooth Mighty Mouse. I only really have one complaint, which is the tracking speed. You don't really get a variety of "tracking speed" preferences. The lowest setting is really slow, but the next to lowest setting is like the equivalent to having it almost all the way up, but it is managable. I would say get this mouse if you don't want any wires or dongles. Plus it looks good with my MacBook Pro : )

1 of 5 DEFECTIVE MOUSE Thursday, March 01, 2007
Sam from Dulles, Virginia
I was very happy to get this mouse with blue tooth capability, but to my dismay it did not work as promised. The batteries seem to fit too loosely and the few times that it worked I had to take the battery cover off and press hard on the batteries to make it work. I tried two different sets of brand new batteries but had the same results. It will work for a couple of minutes and then it will stop responding. I am going to pack it back up and send it for a refund.

Everything works as advertised. The mouse is responsive, with no noticeable pauses or erratic movements (well, no more than any other mouse). Very sensitive to all sorts of surfaces. Comes with 2 AA batteries, as well!

5 of 5 Good mouse that works well with Mac Powerbooks Sunday, July 02, 2006
A Customer from Beaumont, CA
This is a very good mouse and it's simple to set up and use. Actually, with a Mac there's no need for driver CD. Bluetooth feature on Mac searches, finds and syncs, all in a few seconds. Plus the silver color goes well with Mac Powerbooks as if they were mated at the factory....for a lot less than a Mac mouse.

5 of 5 Greate laptop mouse Friday, June 30, 2006
Oleg from Princeton, NJ
I bought it as a replacement for the Kensington BT mouse which broke after a year of usage. Have internal BT adapter in my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. Didn't even have to install Logitech software, just created a new BT profile (as generic Travel mouse), and voila, it picked it up. Have big hands, feels comfortable. Like On/Off power switch - looks like the batteries will last long, unlike Kensington - had to change it once a month.

3 of 5 Mouse works great with Dell Inspiron 6000 Tuesday, April 04, 2006
mike from Litleton, CO
The mouse works fine never drops the connection. I did have to reload all the stacks(?)and some of the drivers. The reason for the low overall satisfaction is that none of the advanced Logitech software will work/compatible with the Dell touchpad software. No where in any of their info on this web site or even on their own does it mention this fact. Other than not being able to use any of the advanced features this is a great mouse. Its great not to have to have extra transceivers hanging out of USB ports and able to use the Blue tooth capability built into the laptop. Batteries have lasted a long time too.

1 of 5 Don't buy this mouse Wednesday, February 22, 2006
Michael from California
The mouse works fine when it works. The problem is that it stops working about every 30 seconds. I have reloaded the bluetooth drivers on my Dell with the latest and greatest but there was no improvement in proformance. I also reinstalled the Logitech software with their most recent version and that also made no difference.

1 of 5 Nice mouse if it worked Sunday, February 19, 2006
dmorrown from Grosse Pointe, MI
Before buying this mouse, check the Logitech bluetooth support forum to see if any progress has been made in fixing the connection problem. Many of us are experiencing periodic disconnects when using this mouse. Sometimes the mouse will reconnect by itself in a few seconds, but other times I have to run the HP bluetooth setup wizard. Updating my HP bluetooth drivers as suggested by HP helped, but did not eliminate the problem. Logitech support was no help at all.
