I got this for a birthday gift and it is one of the best things
you can get a music fan. The duet includes Pandora which pays for itself but adds other things like cherries on top like live music archive which is amazing. The hang ups I have is with the remote losing the option to thunbs up or more info on current tracks playing after a short sleep. I have to turn off and on the remote the bookmark or whatever and that means alot to me. I go to bed listening to pandora im a music freak fix the bug so I can be in heaven and it's 5 stars across, till then 4. Was this review helpful?

The Duet + my PC has become my favorite way to play music at home. I am listening to more (and different) music than ever. My CD players have been sitting idle.
I am ripping my CD collection to .flac files and transmitting them to my Duet via a wireless network. I have a good external DAC, so I am passing the SB receiver's digital output to the DAC.
I anticipate getting another SB receiver, so I can run 2 systems, one upstairs (headphone rig) and my main system downstairs.

I've bought several devices over the years, media center extenders and such, but this is the best device I've ever bought. It works seemlessly with both my Pandora and Rhapsody accounts, giving me unlimited access to 5 million songs and playlists. Actually you don't even need a computer as it works over your wifi network. The remote is beautifully done, with a large color screen and intuitive controls. I can change songs from anywhere in the house, including out by the pool. I actually bought another unit for upstairs as I can snych the two together, which has the whole house playing the same songs.

This is the best product I've ever used to get music to my stereo. It was easy to set up and works flawlessly. I am also a Rhapsody subscriber and the Duet works perfectly with the service, without a computer!! That gives you access to 5 million songs and a ton of other features. Every one I know is getting this for Christmas this year. 5 stars plus. I'm ordering another one for upstairs. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased the squeezbox duet. I had a little trouble setting it up (mostly user error). Once I had it up and running it works great. Great sound, and the UI on the controller is very easy to use. It integrates with lots of internet services and appears to have a very open platform which you can tweak if you like. The only critique I have is that it would be nice you had the option of buying a unit with an integrated amplifier. Was this review helpful?

This is a great piece of gear. works as advertised and works well. I find that it does have some issues when it comes out of standby but it's nothing too bad, just a slight delay before you gain control. overall this device is easy to use and sounds great. It has even solved my local radio reception problem because it gets both local FM and AM stations. setup was very simple and I think even a novice could get this thing running in minutes. Love the fact that I can control it through my PC as well as with the remote. If you have a large home with multiple zones for music, look no further. Love the easy to read color screen and jog wheel. It has just the right buttons on the front , basically standard shuttle controls plus volume. This is the first device I have purchased for my home that my wife can easily use and even enjoy without calling me. Even my 8 year old son uses it to play his itunes playlist.
Pros: Ease of use, price, lack of compatibility issues, range of remote(anywhere your wifi works this thing works), very good sound quality, and build quality.
Cons: occasional delay from standby and remote battery life could be better. Was this review helpful?
