5 of 5 simple product, great sound Tuesday, September 09, 2008
K Maaser from Grand Rapids, MI

simple unit with a great sound. Not bad for the price. I use it for a few small classrooms at school, everyone seems to enjoy the sound quailty.

4 of 5 Good value item Tuesday, September 02, 2008
JohnLM from Corvallis OR
The price sold me on this product and it continues to do so. While I have heard better sound from other products, they were many times the price. The system has worked flawlessly with my Windows XP laptop with a standard sound card and port replicator (docking bay.) The satellite on/off, volume and headphone/microphone unit is a nice touch. I don't recommend for audiophiles but it is a great value for those of us who want better sound than what comes out of the "PC box."

5 of 5 It's very impressive! Thursday, August 28, 2008
A Customer from Cleveland, OH
Worthy product! I am very impressive when I begin to use it. Though it is small, but it sounds very good. Especially the base part.

5 of 5 Awesome - volume control suprised me Thursday, August 21, 2008
James from Chicago, IL
Took me a moment to "be smarter than the object your working with" Once I realized that the volume control worked by rotating the top of the remote I was very impressed by the sound. I'm in a 10x10 room listening to my PC. With the volume controls (PC and controler) at max the sound is clean and loud enough to get complaints from others.

4 of 5 On the money Wednesday, August 06, 2008
Peter from Delray Beach, FL
For the price these are a great buy. Nice all-around sound to enhance your tiny computer speakers. Only fault is poor directions to get them to turn on. You need to hit switch on the remote to get them on, but this is not adequately explained.

5 of 5 Doesn't get any easier... Monday, August 04, 2008

Works easy as can be right out of the box... LOVE the volume control knob that also has jack for headphone that can be placed on desk. Good sound for the price.

4 of 5 Great speakers for the price Monday, August 04, 2008
A Customer from Portland, OR
Speakers are small but the sound coming out of them is amazing. Turning the volume up too high distorts the quality, so don't expect to play these at parties. Medium to low volume is good, and should probably be only level you play these speakers at for good sound. For the price, it's worth a shot. They are small and compact if you don't have a lot of space. They seem to be 'personal' speakers than 'party speakers' where the sound has to go through lots of background voices.

5 of 5 Great Speakers for the Price! Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Jesse from Diego, Cali
Just hooked up the speakers and they sound pretty damn good I must say. Better than I expected. They don't sound as good as my surround sound system on my tv. But I couldn't ask for better computer speakers on a budget. I would have glady paid twice as much for these speakers based on there performance.

5 of 5 Great...for the money Monday, July 21, 2008
wesman72@hotmail.com from Houston, Texas
how could I go wrong? When they arrived only three days later, I was surprised at the quality sound that came for these petite speakers. I enjoy these speakers while listening to mp3s and video editing. If these speakers have a weakness it would be the treble...it's not super-sharp like high-end speakers. BUT these don't cost what high-end speakers do. Unless you own a professional recording studio, these speakers will be a good choice for you and your pocket book.

5 of 5 Logitech Speakers Sunday, July 20, 2008
Tim from Chestnut Ridge, NY
Great sound quality for the price. It would be nice if the volume max could be increased however you can't beat the quality for what you are paying. I use it in my office and love the separate volume control.

5 of 5 Corbro Designs, LLC Sunday, July 20, 2008
vern.corbro@gmail.com from North Hollywood
I purchased this speaker unit in June 2008, For my wife's MAC. The speakers are small but they bumps pretty good. I would recommend for others to buy. The only thing I don't like is the remote, It would be easier to operate if it was on one of the speakers. Overall the unit is real nice.

3 of 5 Poor sound Saturday, July 19, 2008
A Customer from Atlanta, GA
I was very disappointed with the sound quality. One can hear crackling and hiss on the speakers. Although the speakers are really cheap, I would still say the value of this buy is low. I will add that I have no complains about BUY.com or their speed of delivery.

5 of 5 Great 2.1 speakers. Fast shipping. Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Shruti from Irvine, CA
I bought these to plug into my airport express in another room. The speakers are very powerful for their size and price and I can hear them well from where I work in the next room. The satellite speakers appear to be less powerful than the subwoofer-- but the balance may depend on the type of audio. They are not as good as $200+ speakers of course, but will do until I can save up enough to buy some nicer ones. The shipping was fast. I opted for "budget" free shipping and received the delivery within 2 business via FedEx ground. The customer service was fantastic-- replied to my query within 3-4 hours (I contacted them about a FedEx tracking number that initially pointed to a different delivery, it was not Buy.com's fault.).

5 of 5 WOW!!! for low end computer speakers Tuesday, July 15, 2008
CherryPearl23 from Detroit, MI
Produces a pretty decent sound for low end computer speakers. Buy.com price for this product was at least $7.00 cheaper than their competitors/stores and free shipping. Free shipping states 7-10 days arrival time after processing but I ordered on a Friday and got speakers on Tuesday. Hook up is different from other speakers w/subwoofer but I found it a better set-up this way. Loved the wired remote and the long cord where I have placed the subwoofer at one end of desk and remote on the other end of desk). I can connect my headphone w/mic on the remote which is a big plus since most speakers w/subwoofer do not come with this feature. The speaker on/off switch is on the side of the remote and the volumn adjustment is on top of remote (kind of remind me of the wheel on my MP3 player). LOVE IT!!! I say take the chance, you will be pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

5 of 5 Kick Ass Speakers for the price Monday, July 07, 2008
Dave from Richardson TX
These little speakers sound really good for the 23 bucks I shelled out for them. Not a massive wall of sound, but just good solid sound for a guy in the office that needs to listen to clean audio and streaming radio during the work day. And Buy.com is top notch. Never a problem, great prices, and consistant service!

4 of 5 good price for small speakers Monday, July 07, 2008
John from New Orleans, LA
you get what you pay for... as soon as i received the package, i opened it up and tested out the system. installation was relatively easy. you have the option of using just the two speakers by plugging them into the audio-out of your pc, or use the whole 2.1 system. the cord length of the two speakers were adequate - not meant to be 'mounted', only placed on the desk. the subwoofer isn't as loud and deep-sounding as i wanted, but its whats expected for anything under $25. the wired remote control is a nice feature, could be improved by adding a treble adjuster. the gloss black finish is a nice touch. btw, this is not a usb powered system (obviously); if you are using the subwoofer, make sure you have an extra power outlet to plug in to. the S220's are good if you are looking to replace old computer speakers. if you really want great sound, save more money and buy a better system from logitech. overall, im pretty satisfied for what i paid for

5 of 5 Great for the zune Saturday, July 05, 2008
A Customer from college town,colorado
I live right by the street so I needed something to drown out the noise of cars at night. None of the reviews said anything about being zune compatible. The volume control station plugs right into the base station (if you have one) or headphone plug and sounds amazing, though I've had no need to have it play at a grand scale. The only gripe I have is that the volume control is very sensitive, however that also means very subtle changes in volume, not ones that are suddenly going to blow out your eardrums.

For the second time, Buy.com delivers with 1st class service. Pros: 1-The system arrived in three days. 2-Quality is perfect for the price. 3-Performance will not disappoint, the bass is just fantastic 4-The remote is smart and sensitive. Cons: 1-If you are using a laptop, the jacks are bulky 2-AC 120V only

5 of 5 Well thought-out design Monday, June 30, 2008
Very satisfied i from Seattle Washington
This system eliminates the problems common with computer speakers. On most, you have to go back to the computer to change volume. This is not always possible, especially with kids' games. The remote rotary volume control in this system is about as good as it gets. Huge range! Very, very fine tuning possible. When the source of the sound is good, the quality is fantastic. Not all YouTubers know how to record properly, so you should not judge the sound from that site. Try Amazon and listen to some samples. You will be amazed. I now own two sets and my son has one.

5 of 5 I knew something was missing... Friday, June 27, 2008
Tobysmom1111 from Las Vegas, Nevada
I bought a great new Dell computer package a few months ago and it came with two cute little speakers. No matter what adjustments I made in my Realtek Audio Manager the sound was less than desirable - scratchy with no bass. I knew something was missing. I saw this Logitech speaker system promoted on the "BradsDeals.com" website and followed the link to Buy.com. I figured "What can I lose at this price?!" Then I plugged these babies in, loaded in my new Mary J. Blige CD "Growing Pains", made a few adjustments in my Audio Manager and then hit "play" and I thought the sound would blast off my eyelashes!!!!!! No kidding! I am not an "audiophile" by any stretch of the imagination, but these speakers sound absolutely great when you're hanging out on your computer! I am totally rocking out as I write this review! You will be VERY VERY VERY happy with them! They look good and are easy to install too! Worth every penny! ***** Five Stars Go for it! What do you have to lose? You will be pleasantly surprised. :o)

3 of 5 They're OK Monday, June 02, 2008
Frank from Tampa, FL
For less than $30, they are a decent value. I used to have Creative Inspire speakers, so I can definitely understand the downgrade to these Logitec speakers. They are easy to assemble and they work well for most applications in Windows, but there are a few where no sounds come out. These speakers will work until I decide to spend a little more for better ones.

5 of 5 pc must have! Wednesday, May 28, 2008
A Customer from Maui, Hawaii
This is my second logitech speaker. They are both very good in performance, but what I like about this one is the wired remote which has the volume control, switch, mic and earphone input on it. It gives me an easy access on my audio devices. And with a decent sound you can expect in a 17-watt piece.

5 of 5 Great speakers for the money. Sunday, May 25, 2008
A Customer from Union, WA
These speakers perform very well for their price and size. The woofer unit is fairly small - so they can be packed away on a trip. This is why I purchased these to use in hotels on my trips. The bass is quite good for a 4-5 inch speaker. Of course, they do not stand up to expensive Logitech speakers which I use on my home computer, but great for transport to use with an ipod.

5 of 5 Way better than I expected Friday, May 09, 2008
mattmiller1715@yahoo.com from mckinleyville, ca
I was looking for some speakers to just provide a minimal amount of sound for my new system. Hence, i ordered these speakers with the expectation that they would barely work. However, they are performing well beyond my expectations. Also, I never write reviews for products that I get, but because I was so suprised by the quality vs. price, I had to. Get a pair and you will be satisfied.

5 of 5 Beautiful sound Sunday, May 04, 2008
jz@jayzee.com from Bainbridge Island, Washington
For years I put up with the inferior sound of small speakers. I then asked my computer-smart son if a computer possibly held better sound than what was coming out of the speakers. Perhaps there are digital sounds hiding inside, but I did not want to spend much. He recommended the Logitech with the amplified bass box for $ 20 plus shipping. The sound is fantastic and best of all, the turn-knob volume control - which has a wide range - allows me to lower the sound level on the grandkids' games without the usual fuss of going to the speaker icon and doing all those steps. It also has a small on-off slide switch. It is a beautiful piece of engineering.

5 of 5 Big Sound ....Small Price Wednesday, April 30, 2008
A Customer from Poughkeepsie, New York
Full rich sound from a small compact design. Great buy for the money. Made well, easy hookup. Plenty of bass, plenty of power for a small room. Not quite as good as the X-230's, but a close second.

5 of 5 Logitech S220 Sunday, April 27, 2008
A Customer from Poughkeepsie, New York
I just installed these speakers on my computer in my office at work. Great sound for the money. Good bass response, a very full rich sound. Plenty of power/volume for a work enviroment during the day, and I can crank them up after normal business hours. I like the seperate puck with the volume control. It allows me to set the speakers further back on my desk, but allows easy access to the controls. I also own the logitech X-230's. These are not as good as the 230's, but they are also half the size and half the power. Overall a great buy for the money. My only very small negative is the 120 volt power cord is only about 3 1/2 feet long. If you do not have a power strip for the rest of your computer stuff, you will have to get an extension cord like I did.

1 of 5 DO NOT BUY! Friday, April 25, 2008
A Customer from Washington, DC
OK I don't know why everyone else likes these so much. I bought this because it had good reviews and it was a good price, but don't be fooled. I'm not picky about my sound system and just wanted something to add some volume and base to the music I have on my laptop. Instead, I got a product that 1)does not provide any additional volume and is actually QUIETER then my crappy laptop speakers, and 2) is fuzzy and distorted quality of sound is really bad. Going to try to return. DO NOT BUY!

5 of 5 Great value Wednesday, April 02, 2008
A Customer from Gilbert, AZ
The dongle with volume control and headphone+mic jacks is a great feature. Sound quality and volume is more than adequate for computer speakers. If I had paid twice as much, I would not have been disappointed.
