Excellent product from logitech, image quality is very good, great performance in low light conditions also, microphone works well, but if you have very thin laptop screen then it may not fit on the screen, fits well to desktop screen. In general good product.

Got a good price on Buy.com with rebate. Product shipped promptly. Installed the camera without any difficulty and updated Logitech software. I haven't used it very much yet but I plan to soon. Picture quality/resolution and audio (microphone) both seem good. Overall it's another good product from Logitech.

I have been using this webcam for a few weeks now, and am impressed with the audio quality and video quality. I didn't know if I wanted to launch into the "webcam" world, so I looked around for a deal - I couldn't be happier. It clips onto my notebook very nicely and is easily adjustable. Great deal!

Great web cam for the price, excellent video quality. Wish Logitech made a wireless version with similar quality. If you are thinking about buying a webcam forget all the others and stick with Logitech for quality, reliability, and price not to mention buy.com for fantastic offers and prompt shipping. I have been using webcams for well over 10 years and also repair and setup new systems for a living and it is my experience that Logitech is the hands down leader in this category.

This is great little webcam with excellent sound and video quality. Lots of nice features for camera adjustment. The only down side is the flimsy lens cover which just comes right off with the flick of a finger if you're not real careful. The pictures in the product description are a little deceptive, because some of them don't show the cover on. Logitech makes other models that have an incorporated sliding lens cover, a much better design. Overall, though, very satisfied with this webcam.

I replaced my older model logitech webcam with this unit, G/F says it sends a excellent view. Sound is very good also, this is my 2nd unit of the same webcam, 1st one went to my G/F..

By far one of logitech's best cams. Picture was outstanding, very sharp and clear. Even has auto adjustment in the lighting when in darker areas or shadows. A must have.

Bought this for a long distance friend as I was tired of looking at her old cam. She actually "complained" that it showed to much definition of her image. A good buy.

Easy install, and great performance on a mediocre laptop. Haven't found any negatives yet. I suggest you use Skype for webcam chats. I tried all of the others when trying to converse with my daughter in Korea (from the USA) and got choppy video and frequent disconnects. But with Skype, its almost like being there.

I really like this camera. I have had a few problems with the drivers. When using the camera with Skype for video it tends to turn off and back on which not only causes an interruption in the video but also makes the little control pop up on top of everything. Honestly other than that I can't say much bad about this camera though. It works really well in all indoor lighting. It's not perfect in very bright light, but very good in low light. The face follow feature is cool, but a little distracting. I wouldn't use it, but it might be good for someone that would be moving around a lot while broadcasting. All around a great value. I highly recommend this camera if you're looking for something in this price range. I don't think you could get a better one unless you pay more.

the Logitech 5000 webcamera has been one of the few recent tech-geek, gadgets that I have really tried to not love but, it is my new favorite toy! It lives up to its hype in many ways so what can I find wrong with it? Not much. being critical of this gadget is not easy since it does everything that it says it can and delivers quite well on each promise. the price is very reasonable, and being a penny-pincher meant, for me, going out of my way a bit to 'invest' in this fine piece of tech. It is sturdy and delivers the crisp imagery of cameras that cost more but, shouldn't and it has a sophisticated look that speaks to the idea of form and function. Tiny foot print on the desk or mounted atop the flat screen monitor serves to make me wonder if it will topple and break but, no, it is rugged enough to get roughed up and keep on working even despite the cats playing with it when I'm away! The image is good even in the lowest light and can be adjusted even then! The 'shade' can be pulled down to prevent accidentally broadcasting an image, or 'image shades' can be placed in cue to be observed when you don't want to flip the real one (phisical plastic) into place. The USB 2 plug & play and the easy to understand software installation instructions made this camera a near steal. It has some quirky and fun additions that I didn't think I'd like at first but, they are so goofy that I find myself playing with them quite often, and losing track of time! The 'on' light lets me know when the camera is active and online Vs not, and the face--eye--tracking and echo cancellation during calls again makes this an all-in-on-package that delivers on its promises. The most trouble that I had was attempting to figure if the camera would work properly with the new windows Vista. And yes, it did. This camera is my new 'crack-tastic' everyone needs one.

i really enjoy what i am able to do with this cam. the software is cool. the resolution is perrfect. i hang it on the screen of my laptop, so i dont need to look for any other place to put that on. its handy . it absolutely worths what you pay.

I purchased this cam and it is everything I wanted in a cam. The quality is great, it is easy to use, it has good special effects, and the price was right. COME ON DOWN. If your looking for one, go for this one.

This is the best PC video cam I've ever seen. I've had an intel Cam since the late 1990's and that was the top of the line then. The technology has really improved. The colors that the logitech displays are so vivid and not washed out like most PC video cams. What's also great about this cam is the control settings. Logitech did a great job with this cam.

Our whole family has Logitech webcams to communicate over the Internet. This model has nice picture and built-in mike, plus some fun special features. Installation was easy and works great with Windows Live Messenger. Good quality and good price - rebate paid in full and in a timely manner.

I have both creative and logitec webcams. But my first experience was with Logitec Quick webcam pro 5000. I liked this webcam but I also did try with creative webcam's for both desktop and laptops. Logitech is really worth for money. Pros 1. Easy to use and easy to find the drivers. 2. Best quality of picture. 3. Value for money. Cons I paid the same amount for the same webcam in a year diff. :(

When I purchased this webcam, Buy.com had a low price PLUS a $20 mail-in rebate (Great deal). The installation was quick and easy. The picture is excellent. The color is very good with good lighting and ok in poor lighting situations. The sound is very good but has a bit too much bass in it. The mic is sensitive, which I like. It picks up sounds clearly even from a distance. I recommend this webcam to those who want a very good webcam at a good price.

The webcam was very easy to use moreover its good even in dark light with right light technology. Its really have awesome microphone which never breaks up the voice when i use it over my yahoo calling. The interesting thing is i got the product in 2 days for general shipping. So i suggest guys who do voice chat with cam running as well.

This camera might be Ok as a webcam, but I bought it because a ID Card software company listed it as a unit for taking ID (still) pictures. It's not good for that - grainy, fuzzy. We're not using it.

We have 4 of these cameras, one each for my wife & I and two for our daugthers. The picture quality is very good as is the audio. Our only problem with this last purchase was that the software changed slightly. Our previous cameras suggested that we download the software off the internet and then install the hardware. With this one, we had to install the software off the disk, then update that software from the internet. Everything works great and this is a wonderful way to stay in contact with our daughters and our grand children.

Easy installation. Install CD automatically checked the Logitech website and offered to download the latest software/drivers for the installation. The camera and built-in mic work great. Obviously the frame rate is bandwidth limited so with my DSL I don't get 30 fps but its quite usable and the picture is clear. Light balance is nicely adjustable so even with the light behind me and none in front of me, I can play with the settings to get my face clearly visible. Also, I was surprised to discover that the mic is also USB, not just the camera. Other webcams have mics that plug into the audio card - not here! This camera has a single USB plug. With the rebate offered through buy.com this camera was only $30 and well worth it.

The software install was easy, I thought it took a fairly long time so i was surprised. In my case there was an update so there was download time to consider. The quick cam seemed to work best placed away from a open window. There was too much light near an open window. The camera resolution was good and tracking wasnt too bad. The microphone wasnt as sensitive as i would like. I was surprised that i had to talk fairly loud as i was about 2 feet away from the camera microphone. In general i was fairly happy with the product. The feature i liked best was the picture quality of the webcam. It wasnt grainy or poor resolution. I thought the value for the money was good. I did do alot of reading of reviews on different web cams before buying this one.

This is my first webcam, and I chose it based on other people's reviews. I am completely satisfied! It was very easy to set up and I was surprised at how good the video/picture quality was. The sound quality was good as well. I think it was a very good purchase, and the price was cheaper than I had seen it on other sites.

Bought this camera to record my daughter whenever she is in the same room as me and also to monitor any street activity if any when I am not home. Video and sound are very good. I am replacing my old faithful Intel CS430 that I have owned for a few years. I really like the program it comes with because it lets you put on special effects that make video conversations fun. The usb cable that is attached to the camera is long enough to move around without having to sacrife keeping it close to connection. Driver disk installed flawlessly with no probs. My pc specs are amd 2500 1gb ram nforce 2 ultra, 500gb HD. So if you own anything similar to this you should have no problems. I have found logitech support very helpful. Although I have not used them for this product, I kept that in mind when making this purchase.

Quality of video calls is great. Sound from built in microphone is excellent. We experience no echo. Installation of drivers was a little tricky on my machine. An improvement in the design would be to have greater adjustment, (up and down,) of the camera. All things considered, this webcam is a great product.

My Fiance and I decided to get these because she is oversea's for school for 2 years and we hardly get to see each other. The install was fairly easy, i did have some driver issues but got it fixed and they work great. They are very clear and really do show up well even in the dark. These web cams do everything that they say they do and We highly reccomend them. For the price you cant beat it.

So far I am very pleased with my Quickcam but I haven't been able to hook up the other one I bought at my daughters house. I bought these things in order for my wife & our grandson to be able to talk & see each other while each in their own house. I will go over there this weekend and hook it up and teach my grandson how to call his grandma on the computer.

This camera is fantastic I have very low light in my home office and the videos with this camera are very clear, not dark like with my old creative camera. Also I love the face tracking feature because you can move around and your friends won't have to wonder where you went. My favorite feature is the compression for video e-mail, fantastic. I can go on and on but forget it try it for yourself this is the one to get. Enjoy!

I purchased the QuickCam Pro 5000 as a gift. I have the Pro 4000 and have been so satisfied with it that I purchased the newest model as a Christmas gift. I have other Logitech products and am very pleased with their performance.

Honestly, I didn't do a whole lot of research before I bought this camera... I needed one for my online classes, and this one looked good review-wise and had a rebate. I am fairly impressed with the results, however. The video feed is pretty reasonable and the Logitech software add-on for avatars & special effects is pretty fun-- I just don't think it is very useful. The microphone is a little on the weak side. I sit about 2 feet from the camera, and it picks up, but people on the other end say I sound a little far away. A separate microphone or optional headphones may be more functional. The system easily integrates with Aim, Skype and MSN... very pleased with that. Overall, it is a good camera w/ plenty of features!

Looks good, easy to install, works great. Privacy cap isn't completely opaque (one can see blurred shadows), but it doesn't spoil a great impression.

This camera produces great video and pictures, for a webcam, has a nice light sensitivity and is simple to use. The versatile stand is cool, unless you need a tripod, which you can't use with this camera. I don't use the camera for web conferencing, and the face tracking feature is extremely annoying because it is on by default and will look for faces no matter where you point the camera, resulting in unexpected zooms and pans. There is also an incompatibility with some sound cards used by Dell laptops, which results in the blue screen of death.

Dang where do i begin. Setup was a breeze first of all. This camera is fun also. Amazing what this cam has. Microphone, Sharp pics and video and those Avatars and facial features like mustaches and hats and teeth and lips... It just follows your head all over the place. That would be so cool to send an email with. It follows your head to wherever it goes and I cant say enough about this cam. Logitech does ease very well. Also got one of their Harmony remotes that are superb as well. Next up is the cordless mouse and keyboard combo.

This camera is amazing. I've been through two already and this one blows the others out of the water. It was easy to install and just as easy to set up and begin using. Any type of lighting is the best for this one. No complaints. A+++. Everyone deserves the best and for the price you cant go wrong.
