    3 of 5 Logitech 4000 pro USB Wednesday, September 10, 2003
    A Customer from raleigh, nc

I received an open box product after I ordered this item from buy.com. Several vertical lines appear in the image that would make it appear item is defective. The software included is good, but overall I found the unit a little pricey for it's grand claims of image quality on the packaging

    5 of 5 Welcome to the 21st Century Monday, September 08, 2003
    Sean from Los Angeles, CA
This is my first webcam, so I can't compare it, but I am very happy with the purchase. My wife is at home with our newborn son. It is a great way to feel close to home. We are trying to convince the rest of family to get them as well. My only problem is that the audio does not seem to work over wireless networks. Video works fine. Took a little longer to install than I hoped but no major pains. Had to reboot the computer. I am very happy with this purchase.

5 of 5 Great Little Camera Tuesday, August 05, 2003
    Brad Frey from Hellertown, Pa
This is a Great web camera. It installed easily and I'm real happy with the picture quality. It makes sending video through your email very easy. It actually compresses the file signifigantly and sends in in Window$ media player format (.wpm) The still pictures are also of a high quality. The software is easy to use and produces some fine results. I'm happy with the overall package and recomend this to anyone interested in video conferencing or just planning to send vids via email. A good price for the overall package.

5 of 5 This WebCam is pretty cool. Wednesday, March 19, 2003
Jeffrey Stewart from East Palestine OH
It's a nice looking product. So far it has worked as logitech describes. I like the face tracker. It will automatically zoom in and follow your face around the room. I'm using it with Yahoo Messenger and it has worked great. Installation was easy and upfront but watch out, it wants to install a bunch of "bloat-ware". Do a custom install. I hate having a bunch of unnecessary tray proggys running. There has only been two things about it that I find disappointing. The camera image is rather slow and jagged. I would expect that when view from across the net but not locally on my machine. The other was the USB port install. You MUST install the cam to a port on the PC because of the amount of power it pulls. I have a limited number of ports (2) on my machine. My HP Photo printer is in one and my Kodak digital camera in the second. I've had this Microsoft Interent keyboard with the two additional ports on the back that were not being used (USB hub). So I plugged in the keyboard to the PC USB port and moved the Kodak dock USB to the keyboard port and then plugged in the Logitech WebCam. Thats when I got all the power warnings during the final steps of the install. Windows was able to tell me what could go where.... but the only problem I have now is the USB cable to the printer is not long enough to reach my keyboard port. Anyway, got a bit winded on this. Sorry. But I thought I should inform those with limited USB ports out there too. USB hubs wont work. Well, they will for your other devices... but not the webcam.
