I received the product as well as rebate in the specified time, similar to all my other purchases at buy.com. I installed this webcame on my Dell Inspiron without any problems The sound and picture quality is quite decent as told be my friends talking with me online.

Got this webcam and have been trying to install it on a lap top which has some IBM company software included in it. when ever the CD for this is installed it removes the IBM software ..So for me it is a piece of junk.so beware IT professionals who have some costly and software on their system..More importantly since I bought it on my office address and some one else in some other floor bought the same they are not honoring the rebate stating that we are having same address even though we paid it using the home address. some of my friends had also contacted their office and were given different reasons. so beware of their reluctance to honor rebates....

Hi, I am not at all satisfied with this item Logitech quickcam for notebook deluxe. Microphone clarity is very bad(worst) If we use this cam we cannot speak with anyone through net,if we want to talk then we have to disconnect this cam and then we have to call. Really useless one.Not able to fix to laptop .My laptop model is R51.It is not holding because my notebook displays is more than 14mm I have another note book IBM T61 for that also it is not holding because display is less,So it not holding

Installed with no problems on Win XP. Worked well with Skype and Yahoo Messenger. When the cam first came on, I couldn't understand why the picture was so fuzzy. Turns out I needed to manually adjust the lens. I must have missed that in the directions, although I don't remember seeing anything about adjusting the lens. It wasn't clear how to actually clip the cam to the top of my IBM Thinkpad. After a while, I realized that the back part pushes out so that you can attach it to the computer. Personally, I think it could use a bit more "play" in the adjustment. Barely fit the IBM Thinkpad, and forget using that rubber pad that came with it to "protect" your laptop cover. ha!

our 1st Logitech webcam worked fine on my laptop (Dell inspiron e1505) loaded the MSN messenger fine. Our 2nd webcam (this one) works, but has system errors with my husband's laptop (same Dell type) so cant' really use it YET.... yahoo messenger etc would not load either... tried re boot, tried reinstall after total uninstall..etc. My husband uses his lap to project PP for work so his disply settings are slightly different... should that affect the cam???? hope my techie bro in law will know. I went back and tried to install this one on my lap to see if problem ...dont know yet ran out of time..

Great camera/mic on this one. It really should be more expensive for the quality it provides I can't believe it's so cheap. Buy.com is my favorite place in the world when I need something fast I have never never had faster shipping from anyone else including tiger, new egg, clubit etc buy.com beats them hands down.

Logitech products have always been easy to set up, easy to operate, and priced reasonably. The Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks continues these traits. An excellent notebook accessory at a great price-point. I am technically challenged, so I look for easy to understand and easy to use. I found it with this product.

Great camera, has lots of great features and flexibility. Only drawback, as others have mentioned, is the mount. I have a Dell Inspiron 9300, and though it does clip on, I don't have 100% confidence in it staying put. They could have made that clip just a bit bigger in width as well as depth. Outside of that, would buy another in a second.

Unit works well enough. Continue to have some difficulty attaching unit to a Lenovo R61i laptop. The lid thickness is nearly exactly the maximum opening width of the QuickCam.

This is a great webcam for laptops. It is little and comes with a bag, so you can transport it easily. The image and resolution are good.

Good quality images IF you can focus properly: the diminutive focus adjustment wheel is extremely difficult to rotate in a sensitive way to focus. The trial and error process is irritating! Good sound pick up quality. I would not have bought this unit at the regular price...At the sale price and with the Logitech rebate (if I ever get it!) is an excellent buy.

Installed Camera on desktop first - USB cord is short - OK for laptop. Camera software removed XP's ability the recognize HP scanner on the HP PSC 1510. Spent a least 10 hours but unable to reinstall HP Scanner. Logitech did not even set a restore point. Had to do a fresh install XP reinstall to correct the problem. Luckily I had a recent whole backup of the C:\ drive. Logitech denies responsibility but scanner was working until camera installed and was not after camera install (tried to scan rebate) The printer was fine.

This webcam fit the bill for a low cost portable unit at a reasonable price. It was easy to load the software and make the unit operational. Software that came with this webcam does not allow a great deal of creativity or change to the image.

Camera is light and compact. Doesn't sit well on curved edge laptop screens but boxy thick ones are all right. Microphone is not too sensitive but works OK. Overall it was a great purchase. Got it on a special deal so I can't complain.

I've only used this with my laptop on WinXP, but it seems to work well. It doesn't attach too firmly to the laptop, however, so I can't give it a 5. I think the newer model would have been a better choice in that regard. The mike is the best feature, as I no longer have to attach a separate mike. By mounting on the laptop screen, it also is better positioned than my old webcam, which sat on the desk.

This webcam arrived in about 3 days. I loaded the software and pluged the camera in and I was video conferencing is less than 5 minutes. Mounts nicely on my Dell laptop screen and works great with my Skype account.

I have a couple of generations of webcams and this is my latest purchase. The last one I had was from Creative and although it worked well, it didn't have a built-in mic and was hard to mount on a laptop. This one works great for my laptop (Dell Inspiron E1405). Mind you the mount is not perfect, but it stays where it is supposed to. They have also provided a rubber strip which can be attached for a better grip. The mic works great and I don't really have to speak up louder than I usually do. In terms of gripes, the logitech software although good is huge in size. Takes up quite a bit of system resources.

I bought this to replace my old w/c which could not work with window Vista. This one has nice design, high quality frames, and integrated well with Skype, Yahoo Messenger. It has built-in mic, so you can do video chat without an ugly headset. The only problem is that once installed, its software tries to "hold" the priority so that I can not use other microphone even when I unplug the w/c. I found out that If I terminate a process called "communication_helper.exe", everything is fine. But it took a while to find the trick :)

This webcam works well with Window Vista (the reason makes me buy it). It has built-in microphone, very convenient for chatting without a big headset on your head. The quality of the mic is good, allows you to use Vista speech recognition (which I can't do with a cell phone bluetooth headset). Accompanied software looks nice and is easy to use. And one thing I like about this product is it came with a nice travel pouch.

I always worry when buying accessories for Linux, especially when they don't include Linux drivers. This one installed without any problems. Of course the special features are missing, but it has a nice sharp image, and someday maybe Logitech will offer Linux software comparable to their PC software.

The webcam was extremely easy to set up. Had to install the driver with the disk but other than that it was plug and play. The price couldn't be beat (about ten bucks after rebate). I use Skype with it and the picture was clear and the sound works well. A big plus is that it comes built in with microphone (not every webcam comes with it nowadays). The only 'nit' I have with it is that the base is specifically designed for a laptop screen only. I tried to put it on top of my LCD screen and it doesn't stay put.

It ROCKS!!! the picture quality is amazing than we thought. we have taking mulitple small videos to send capture our baby momements :) and the quality surprised everyone have seen those and asking what Camcorder did i use ;). we have a old webcam but it is sucks infront of this tiny one.
