I had a cordless optical mouse and didn't realize how often I had to change batteries. I didn't think you could get a plug in mouse for a laptop. I have been unemployed since feb. so did not have much money to buy one. This was very inexpensive and works great.Just plug it in and away you go, no more batteries.

Just plug in the USB cable and use the mouse. Sometimes the optical response time is a little slow, and the sensitivity is not the same as the touchpad. Overall very satisfied with the value of this product. Was this review helpful?

After trying many kinds of fancy-looking mice with fancy features, I found out what NOT to buy: any mouse with a seamless body. They look good, but after a few months, the plastic shell starts to rub against the scroll wheel and the buttons start sticking.
This mouse has good old-fashioned hinges, so the shell won't warp. The cursor stays stationary when you lift the mouse. I'm use one with E-Machines and Windows XP on a shiny white painted table top with no problems, and another on a Gateway laptop with Vista on a white Formica table with no problems.
