1 of 5 Don't buy! Thursday, April 03, 2008

Garbage headset. Difficult to put on and even when installed works poorly

1 of 5 Sound quality=Not good Monday, November 19, 2007
A Customer from Lansing, MI
The people I talked to over it on two different devices all said I sounded like I was far away in a wind tunnel and they heard alot of static. The battery life is really short (talk time anyway). And I had an awful time keeping it sync'd with my devices - if I paused speaking for too long I would have to resync the devices (which is a pain in the butt btw). I like Logitech products and quality in general which is why I bought this but I won't make that mistake again this is not their specialty.

4 of 5 performs really well, but looks awful Wednesday, April 04, 2007
A Customer from atlanta, ga
this is one of the best bluetooth headsets i hv owned - voice clarity, ease of use, performance, etc...but i have had really strange looks directed at me by people who see the big dongle hanging from my ear :-) ...so unfortunately i have had to switch to a "sleeker" headset recently (plantronics 665)...ironically, owning this new one shows me how good the logitech one was(the plantronics is ok, but not that great when it comes to clarity of voice)...

5 of 5 User friendly, great sound Thursday, February 01, 2007
JD from Mays Landing, NJ
I purchased this headset back in July of '05. I used it every chance I got! The sound was so crisp, far better than that of my phone, even. The controls were very easy to use and it charged in about four hours, lasting over a week when not in use and about eight hours of being in use. It's light, comfortable and not a bad deal for the price. I'd highly recommend getting a Logitech to anyone that asks. In fact, now that mine has recently passed on, I'll be searching for my next Logitech!

5 of 5 Works great Thursday, June 29, 2006
Chalita Atallah from Silver Spring, MD
I use this with my samsung cell phone and as a microphone with my computer. I use a dell bluetooth adapter that came with my keyboard and mouse, it works great. Great battery life as well.

3 of 5 Awkward but good sound Wednesday, June 07, 2006
Michelle C from Jacksonville, FL
I gave this a 2 out of 5 for ease of use because it is very difficult to put on the ear, and once you get it on, the headset does not sit well, and sticks out from the face (looks awkward, too). I saw similar comment on other reviews, but thought that I would be able to figure out how to make it fit well for me, and, boy, was I wrong. Otherwise, the sound quality is great, the battery lasts about 24 hours on standby, and quite a few hours on talk, but it takes a long time to charge. (This is why I gave performance a 4 out of 5). The on/off button is located in a place that it sometimes turns on or off in my purse when I don't want it to. The wind stop is supposed to reduce wind noise, but callers can usually hear the wind anyway if I am driving in my car with the window down. Overall, I give it a 3 for average.

5 of 5 Good with one small problem Thursday, May 11, 2006
Chad from Ocala, FL
This is the best one I have tried so far, only 1 problem. The volume had an annoying tendancy to drop all the way down every once in a while. Never while you were in the middle of using it, but if sometimes you go to use it and the volume was all the way to lowest setting. You just needed to bump it back up again, but still a little annoying. Other than that I love the thing 100%, until my dog ate it :) Now I have to order another one. DOH!

4 of 5 It gets the job done Wednesday, April 05, 2006
A Customer from Casselberry, Orlando, -- Florida
I have used a few logitech products before. Their 2.1 Speaker System, Their Gaming headsets... All of them has been a positive expierence. With this headset it is no difference. I purchased this headset after using a motorola headset for about a week. The ease of use on this one is far better as well as the sound quality. As far as for the "windstop" technology, well. If you are talking while driving on a highway with windows open there will definately be wind noise. I find that having the windows closed and air / fan running the clarity and noice is minimal to none. It is helpful to have a device that will let you know when it is finished with charging not always available on other products. Overall I like this product and would purchase it again for another bluetooth capable phone.

4 of 5 good headset, few glitchs Thursday, March 30, 2006
kevin c from illinois
I purchased this headset for a nokia 3650 phone. With that phone, the setup was a breeze and the sound was better than I expected. It was just as clear as the headset speaker, and the volume was more than enough for listening in a car or on the train. I then switched to a Blackberry 7105T phone. The setup was once again a breeze, but the performance was truly lackluster. The sound is fuzzy, and the volume cannot go loud enough to compensate. It really does matter what phone you use. I have given the headset to my wife to use on a Motorola phone, again it works very well, and I have gone back to the wire earpiece for my Blackberry.

3 of 5 OK for the price. Tuesday, March 21, 2006
Jack - the Starbuck from Mountain View, CA
<br>Pros: <br>1. Good value. <br>2. Good standy hours (often about 5 days before re-charge with normal use of talk-time, 2-3 hours). <br>3. Sound quality is OK (when someone says something is OK. For most of the time, it means that it's barely made it over the average rating, instead saying it's a little below average, people would just say it's OK -:) ). <br> <br>Cons: <br>1. Connection drops while not in-use which is very unusual for a bluetooth headset. It suppose to stay connect with the phone even if you're not making or receiving any calls (of course you have to be in range for it to connect). Which mean when you receive a call, you would have to press the "multi-function" button on the headset and wait for couple second for it to connect to the phone, then the headset can pick up the call and the same thing for making a call. <br>2. Another feature I don't seem to find on this headset set is the "redial" functions. I often use redial a lot and it's very irritating when i have to pull out the phone everytime when trying to make a call. <br>3. Feather-weight or heavy-weight? I'll give this headset a "heavy-weight-championship" title. This headset weight as twice as my other model (bluetrek G2), but it's quite comfortably when wearing for a long time because the speaker is sitting out of the ear not inside the ear like other model I have. <br> <br>Overall, for the price and the performance, I think it's ok to use as a spare one instead of the primary one, which is my other model.

4 of 5 Does what it needs to do... Thursday, March 16, 2006
J. from Boston, MA
great headset. pairs fine with my blackberry 7105T but occassionally it'll show as paired but voice will only come through the phone. pretty comfortable to wear as long as i'm not swinging my head around too much. easy to remove or put on while driving. volume is aceeptable but only at highest setting. i WISH the headset would remember its volume setting when it disconnects from my phone, though. I sometimes forget that it needs to be turned up all the way before i can talk to anyone... Battery life is pretty good. reception quality has been ok. no complaints from the other end (well, maybe one or two) and only an occassional crackle on my end. overall great value for the money

4 of 5 I think this will work out. Wednesday, March 08, 2006
Nick Caruso from Bloomfield, CT
The unit synced with my Samsung phone very easily and seems to work flawlessly. However, there seems to be a couple small quirks. The directions do not include much in the way of operating instructions. They tell you how to turn it on and connect to the phone, but little else. The button to turn it on and off is also the light to tell you what is happening - so, when you're pushing the button, you can't see the light. It is hard to tell if it is hanging on my ear correctly. It seems like it is hanging poorly, but it also doens't seem to budge - so maybe I just need to get used to it. Volume seems a bit low, but I'll know better as I use it more. The real test will come in a few weeks when I can drop the top on my convertible and see whether or not anyone can hear me when I talk. That should be interesting. So far I've only found one wired mic that really works well for that - a Shure headset. I hope this will work, because I'm really liking the wireless aspect A LOT!!! The only other bummer - the day my headset arrived, Buy.com dropped the price $10 and added a rebate... Oh well it's technology - I should be used to that by now...

5 of 5 Best yet Friday, March 03, 2006
Aaron from Minneapolis, MN
This is by far the best bluetooth headset I have ever used. I owned a Motorola HS820 and have tried various others owned by friends, and nothing comes close in sound quality for the user or the caller. I am using this headset with a Nokia 6230. Many headsets, even some of the more expensive ones (like the Motorola I owned) use a very small ear-bud sized speaker. The Logitech has a speaker that is easily the size of a quarter and provides excellent sound quality even in noisy envioronments. The microphone isn't really any closer to your mouth than other headsets in this price-range, but the "Wind-Stop" technology does exactly what it says. I performed a test by driving down the freeway at 65 miles an hour in my jeep with the window cracked open. I used the audio recording application on my phone to determine exactly what is heard on the other end. Background noises are audible, but my voice comes through much louder and is easily picked up. The only problem is that the earclip is very robust and as such causes some discomfort after extended wearing. It is easy to swith from right to left ear use however, so I do so often. Also, the volume up button when held mutes the mic, making it difficult to increase the volume. Since the headset always starts up at it's lowest volume, you have to repeatedly press the button to raise it. My main complaint is buying the item here. Buy.com sent my first order to my old address (still don't have a good explanation as to how that happened) and then sent the replacement order to the same incorrect address. The customer service is also horrendous. I had to call no less than 10 times because whatever change needed to be made could only be accomplished by the daytime crew, or when the item was shipped, or couldn't be done after the order was sent to the warehouse despite being on backorder for 3 weeks, or any other number of excuses. Be advised that the customer service is performed in India. Copyright 2006 Aaron. May be reproduced without permission provided it is done so intact. Editing is NOT allowed.

4 of 5 Great Item Wednesday, March 01, 2006
Andre from WI
I am very pleased with sound quality of this item but I had to modify ear holder a little bit to fit me because after some time of wearing it I could feel that my ear hurted. Also this item might be a little too big for people with small ears.

5 of 5 Works well, costs little Tuesday, February 28, 2006
kevin from chicago, il
I am very pleased with the performance of the ear piece after about 4 weeks of use. The volume is much better that I was expecting, and the sound was equally impressive. It took a day or two to find the right fit on my ear, and it is much more comfortable on one ear over the other. But once I found the right fit, I can get it back on with no problem. Well worth the money.

5 of 5 Works pretty good Sunday, February 19, 2006
Ja Mata from San Diego - CA
I was very apprehensive to get any of these - especially some are the $100 and get bad reviews. It work just fine - I think I would prefer a custome fit "bod" inside my ear for best audio but this items works great in my quiet lincoln navigator. Great for when you are pumping gas etc. and don't want to hold the phone. Took about 2 minutes to get it working with a Motorola Razr. Worth the $$ You Bet!

5 of 5 Excellent Friday, February 17, 2006
Mark from Utah
I highly recommend this headset. It was easy to setup and use. The clarity is excellent on both ends. People I talk to have no idea I'm using a headset. The volume is loud enough that you can easily hear, in fact I frequently have to turn the volume down. Comfort is similar to others like it. I would say it's easily worth the price paid and more.

4 of 5 Overall, great headset Tuesday, February 14, 2006
Dan Sinclair from Madison, WI
I find this headset to be almost perfect.<br /> <br /> Pros:<br /> 1. Great battery life. I use it about 15 hours a week, and it usually lasts me about a month (give or take a week) between charges.<br /> 2. Decent range. I can leave my phone in a spot in my basement that gets good reception and move around quite a bit before I notice degradation in signal.<br /> 3. Simple interface. One button for everything except volume. Press and hold for on/off/discovery, press quickly (once it's on) for voice recognition.<br /> <br /> Cons:<br /> 1. Volume: Sometimes I can't get it to be as loud as I would like. I can't notice a pattern with it, however (not when the battery's low or anything).<br /> 2. Comfort: Takes a while to get used to how to position it on your ear for the best comfort, and can get uncomfortable after a few hours of use.<br /> <br /> Overall:<br /> All in all, I like it. I think the pros FAR outweigh the cons, and I consider it a great buy.

5 of 5 Good deal Saturday, February 11, 2006
A Customer from Lawrence, KS
For the price, Logitech Freedom headset is a good buy. My Motorola v360 phone easily recognized and connected to the device. I had no problems adjusting on both ears. It took more than the 4 hours mentioned in the manual (closer to 7 hrs) to charge the first time. But has functioned well so far.

5 of 5 Great Buy! Monday, February 06, 2006
A Customer from Wagener, SC
If you are looking for a great buy, this is it. The sound quality is extremely good. My wife can hear me without distraction even when I'm outside in the wind. The only negative that I have about this product is the trouble I have getting a comfortable fit on my big ears.

4 of 5 Nice but more bulky than I expected. Saturday, February 04, 2006
Dee from Ocean NJ
I have had it for about 2 weeks now and it works perfect, the clarity and range is great. This is my first bluetooth head set so I have no other bluetooth to compare it to, but it is very good for the money. I use it all the time. The only draw backs are, it is a little larger than I expected and feels a little bulky on my ear at times, it also tends to make my ear feel a little fatigue after wearing it for a while. I have not had a chance to test out the wind stop yet in very strong wind but while walking from my car with a little breeze it worked fine. Overall the sound quality and reception is great, and it is a very good value.

5 of 5 The Best Value For Money BT Headset Thursday, February 02, 2006
Akshay Dabholkar from Las Cruces, NM
As written in all the reviews the sound quality is awesome. The WindStop technology really works. Only a bit harsh is the fit and the initial learning curve to get it to fit correctly on the ear. I am giving a 4 for the ease of use due to that. Battery life as well as charging time are excellent. An average to good looking piece.

5 of 5 better than motorola Thursday, February 02, 2006
A Customer from PA
I have this headset for one week now and my wife use a motorola h300 and let me tell you the logitech is much better. Its has better reception better sound and easy to use. I have a motorola E815 and my wife samsung a950. the logitech work so well in my car with the windows open(no wind nose). Go and get it, you won't be disappointed. Somethings can be improve on, like it's not as easy to put on(needs two hand) it's bigger than most and not as good looking. Hey who care, it works!

4 of 5 Simple & Stylish Tuesday, January 31, 2006
A Customer from Attleboro, MA
This is very simple & stylish unit. For some reason it took a while for my phone to connect to this device. I can't blame this blutooth headset for that. It could be a problem with my phone too. Once it is connected, it is very easy to use. The sound quality is really great.

5 of 5 Third time is the charm Tuesday, January 31, 2006
nikki hess from charlotte, nc
This is the third bluetooth headset I've purchased and I'm very pleased not only with the comfort of the headset, but with the sound quality. I have a difficult time distinguishing background noise from people speaking throughout the day - but the headset provides enough power & amplification to overcome that without losing sound quality OR having to stick the speaker directly into my ear. Bottom line - easy to setup, easy to use, excellent sound quality

5 of 5 Works very well with my Skype and Bluetooth adapte Tuesday, January 31, 2006

5 of 5 Works as Advertised Sunday, January 29, 2006
cwheimberg from Portage,In
My first logtech product, my first Bluetooth product, my first purchase from Buy.com. Total satisfaction on all counts. My son bought a Motorola unit for twice the price, no better than this product. I used it extensively until I lost it last week / I find myself lost without it. Am ordering another one right now. The instruction sheet negeleted to inform the user that the earpiece rotates and hides the hole for the charger plug, after that it is easy to use.

4 of 5 Logitech Bluetooth Headset Wednesday, January 25, 2006
Paul from Tampa, FL
The unit itself functions flawlessly. Audio is very good, connectivity is good, as is battery life. The unit itself is a little large and awkward. It does not feel secured to my ear, though I don't have any frame of reference to say whether this is standard for bluetooth headsets in general or whether this is a shortcoming of this particular unit. For the price, I am relatively satisfied with this headset. I recommend it to those looking for a budget unit with excellent sound quality.

4 of 5 Excellent sound quality Tuesday, January 24, 2006
A Customer from Anaheim, CA
I bought this one for use with my Razr V3 phone. The setup was very easy and took less than 2 minutes. The sound quality was excellent. I think the mike was ok because no one I talked has complained about the noise. The only qualm I have was that initially I had some difficulty of wearing it. Since the instruction did not clearly show how to adjust and wear it properly, I could not get the headset to fit firmly and comfortably onto my ear. After a few days of use, I was able to find the "correct" adjustment and position to wear it.

4 of 5 good value Monday, January 23, 2006
A Customer from houston, tx
i have been pairing this with my sony ericsson T610 and my bluetooth enabled laptop/desktop for almost a year... i am satisfied with it's sound, ease of pairing, and everything it is supposed to do....the only thing i wish is that it be made in a smaller size..it's bulky size may be the reason why it doesnt stay close to the ear easily...unless u have a big ear...lol

5 of 5 Excellent Bluetooth headset.... Monday, January 23, 2006
A Customer from Boston, MA
As others have mentioned the only detractor is that it is a tad quiet even at max volume, but it's still VERY audible (just not overly so). I have been EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase and I bought it when it was going for $39.99 not the price you see above. It also seems to BOOST my reception when connected. Spots on the highway which I ALWAYS would have experienced dropped calls are now staying connected and breaking up far less often. Highly recommended!

3 of 5 Not what I've expected Thursday, December 08, 2005
Petar Smilajkov from Chicago, IL
I was really looking forward getting this little gadget but I do not think I am as satisfied as I thought I would be. I am a pretty techie guy so it was easy to understand and use this thing but some other people might find it a bit troublesome. Performance is like winning the lottery. 99% of the time it has a very crappy signal and people cannot even hear what I am saying, and to me they sound not loud enough -- AND this is in the HOUSE! The thing I like about it is the value. I guess it is worth the money Buy.com is selling it for, that was the main reason I got it. Overall: 3 out of 5

5 of 5 Very Good Alternative Wednesday, October 26, 2005
A Customer from Keasbey, NJ
I first bought the standard Verizon Wireless Headset they sell at high cost of $75.00 (I had a 25% discount, orig price was $99) but the Verizon headset kept loosing the bluetooth connection. With Logitech's headset I have had only 1% failure and 99% success! I use over 3000 minutes per month and this headset has been a nice addition to my Treo 650. I highly recommend it.

4 of 5 What was it like before? Tuesday, October 18, 2005
chanzilla from sacramento, ca
Very nice headset. I don't have much to compare it to, because this is my first wireless headset. The concept works. The noise-cancellation feature is highly underrated. I work in a very noisy environment, which makes regular celphone useage nearly impossible. However, with the headset, my callers can understand me clearly, and often wonder why I'm yelling on my end. The one-button design is very practical, but if you answer the phone by using the phone's keypad, the headset is disabled. That should be obvious, I guess, but I keep doing that and expecting my caller to chime in on the headset. My range is much weaker than reported, and I'm using a SE T610. I cannot be out of the room of the phone, but at the same time, I'm rarely leaving my phone in another room. It is also automatically turned-off while charging - another irk for me. Not a deal-breaker, but pretty annoying. Oh, it's not heavy on the ear at all. It takes some getting used to having somethign wrapped around your ear, but it's forgotten after awhile.

4 of 5 Great sound, but it's heavy Tuesday, October 18, 2005
Joe from San Diego, CA
The sound it mostly great, but sometimes fuzzy...I can't figure out why...even when I am very close to the transmitter. Others can hear me well, and the sound quality/tone is very good. My real beef is that it's "so" heavy compared to Moto rigs, and that the weight is in the front of the unit so that it wants to peel away from my ear. This also makes it uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. It seems to automatically disconnect from my phone after a while of inactivity. Not sure why. The instructions that came with it are sketchy...for example, I see it blinking blue one, two, three or four times. Haven't attempted to see the pattern yet, and there's nothing about it in the instructions. Overall... good, cheap, uncomfortable.

5 of 5 Works better than my friend's *wired* earpiece! Wednesday, October 12, 2005
John from Chicago, IL
I've been using this earpiece for quite a few months now and I'm quite happy with it. It can sit on & idle for at least a few days on one charge; if I'm using it a lot I get a couple hours of talk time over a couple days on a charge. And the sound quality: I have no trouble hearing the other person and they've told me they can't tell at all that I'm on a headset. A friend of mine bought an earpiece with a wired connection to her phone, and it sounds like she's 50 ft away from her phone in a tunnel. Since the unit is pretty small, the controls are quite simple - one button for on/off & pick-up/hang-up and one two-way button for volume. The one on/off button also blinks blue or red to indicate stuff. If you get this headset, take time to read the tables in the manual that describe the blinks and beeps. It may be frustrating or confusing at first, but after a couple weeks it's mindless and automatic. The one difficulty I've had (which may be my phone's fault or just the nature of a using wireless headset) is that sometimes I try to answer the call on my earpiece but it answers at my phone, or vice-versa. If I'm driving I usually get confused & end up pushing the wrong button & hanging-up. Also, I've had multiple instances where I've made a call from my phone (not intending to use the earpiece which was in my car and still ON), but the call went thru the earpiece because the bluetooth connection was active. There I sit in the house with my phone to my ear waiting for the ring sounds to begin, meanwhile my friend is already saying "hello? hello?" over my earpiece in the garage! But overall I would say don't debate any more, buy it.

5 of 5 What a bargain! Thursday, September 22, 2005
Nakia from Philadelphia, PA
I was a little skeptical about this because of the price...but I was convinced by all the positive reviews to give it a shot...I have paid upwards of $20 for a wired headset in the past, and they were invariably uncomfortable, and eventually, the wire shorted out and/or I got tangled in it...Finally, no wires, AND good sound, in a small, lightweight, and comfortable package. This is the best little gadget I never knew I couldn't live without!

5 of 5 Great Value and Performance Monday, September 12, 2005
Edski from Washington, DC
This is my first B/T headset and I must say that I'm quite impressed... especially for the price. I have an LG VX8100. Setup was a bit confusing at first b/c I didn't read the directions for my phone, but after a few minutes of fiddling, I did get it to connect. The sound is great. I had to fool with the headset's volume as well as the phone's volume, but I do get clear reception and the people on the other end say that I'm clear to them, too. It's easy-to-use, one-button technology is simple... almost too simple, but now that I've gotten it to connect, it's quite easy re-connect and use the headset. And most importantly, it's comfortable to wear. I have sensitive ears and I can get through a 30 min conversation before my ear gets tired. And for me, that's a long time. I haven't truly tested the battery, but from what I've experienced so far, a 7 hour talk time is wishful thinking. 4 hours on a full charge is more like it. I don't talk that much so the time is OK for me, but for diehard cell users, that might not be acceptable. Now I'm just concerned about all of the security articles I read about how turning B/T on leaves your cell's phonebook exposed to the world. I guess that's the chance that I'll be taking for the convenience of not having any wires to fool with. Good Luck.

This is a good overall handsfree headset. Great for roaming around the house and the range is not too bad either. I use a Motorola V710 and it works great.

5 of 5 Logitech bluetooth headset Saturday, August 27, 2005
A Customer from Yakima Washington
This is an excellent value for a bluetooth headset that works on both my Nokia and Sony-Ericsson 710 phones and also serves as a headset on both my Macs. The 4 rating for performance is because of not quite high enough volume.

Have been using it for 2 weeks. Setup with MOTO V551 was a snap. Turning on and off takes little getting use to. Quality of reception is great. Feels good on my ear even with my eyeglasses on

5 of 5 Excellent Pair to my Motorola V551 in 4 Seconds Monday, August 01, 2005
Chittaranjan Panda from Bloomington, IL, 61701
Very less Charging time, works very fine. picks up fine almost from 10 meters, Only bit heavy, and not that convenient to wear. Good quality and value for money. Look is Good if not very smart as compared to Motorola models, which are ofcourse thrice costlier

5 of 5 really nice headset for a great price Monday, August 01, 2005
A Customer from San Jose, CA
I was pretty impressed by this headset's performance given the price. The windstop technology actually works; I was able to talk and hear well even while driving with the windows down. The styling is ok, but you save 40 bucks compared to some of the nicer looking designs, and you get great functionality as stated before. I highly recommend this product for the price (about $40)

4 of 5 good voice.. loose charger Saturday, July 30, 2005
Nits from Columbia, SC
Pros: The voice is excellent! Mic volume is awesome. Once there, it stays on the ear nicely. Cons: Hard to get on the ear quickly... the charger has a loose connection and charging stops even before it is complete due to loose connection.

4 of 5 Excellent BT Headset Thursday, July 28, 2005
A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
I am on my 3rd headset, so I have a little first hand experience. This BT Headset has very good sound--an older Scala 300 that I had was too quiet. This logitech has a boom which provides for excellent micophone pickup. I haven't had anyone complain of echo or static. The 2 things I do not like about this device is that it automatically shuts itself down when recharging...a little annoying that I have to turn it back on after each recharge. But it does retain the link with my cellphone (moto e815) after powering up. The ear piece is a little strange to get used to it, but once you do, it holds the headset against your ear. Overall, this unit is quite nice, and for the price, it is an exceelent buy.

5 of 5 Works great, but not always comfortable Monday, July 18, 2005
A Customer from NJ
Great reception, loud, easy to connect w/ my K700i. My only complaint is that it doesn't seat comfortably on my ears. Some days when I get it seated comfortably, I would barely feel it, but most of the time it pinches the ears. So I'd recommend trying the fit first if you can.
