5 of 5 Love these speakers - wish they were still availab Saturday, March 28, 2009 Claire from Miami, FL
These speakers are amazing. I've had them for almost 2 years and they still rock. Sound is amazing and fills the room wherever I go. I should have bought two! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great speakers Friday, March 13, 2009 A Customer from Chicago, IL
I use these all the time for my laptop and mp3. These are great sounding and pretty powerful speakers. Crsp clear sound. Highly recommend. Packs small. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Perfect for golfers Friday, November 14, 2008 Keegan from Sterling Heights, MI
This is the perfect speaker for golfing. I hook it up to my mp3 player and throw it in the cart basket for a much more enjoyable round. All my buddies ask me to bring it with me golfing now. It has great sound for a little speaker but has the perfect range as to not be heard by other patrons of the course. Stores flat in my golf bag pocket. I have had it for a year and it has taken quite a beating and still works perfectly. I also got a full golf season on one set of batteries. If I can find it again for $15, I will buy another one. The only con I have is that it doesn't have volume control (must control with mp3 player) but that is extremely minor. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Portable! Sunday, September 14, 2008 A Customer from Irvine, CA
These 'speakers' are awesome. The unit gives great loud and clear stereo sound out of anything that uses a 1/8" headphone jack. I have run MP3's from my phone and iPod on it, entertained groups with movies on a laptop with it, and used it for the speaker on a cell phone conference call.
Battery life is very good, but the opening is tight, some rechargeable batteries can get stuck (thicker label) no problems with plain old Duracells. Comes with an AC adapter as well!
This can be slipped into almost any briefcase/bag/purse/etc, I've even used a big jacket pocket (winter coat). The cable tucks into the back so the whole unit is nice and compact when closed. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Impressive! Thursday, September 11, 2008 John d'Oh from California
These speakers have a good sound with decent range -- good low end (tho not great bass), midrange and highs. Frankly, they're much better than I expected, especially considering the price ($15!). They travel well too (in checked luggage to Germany & back a couple times, no issues). They are a bit bulky, tho. Was this review helpful?

Just love it, very very impressed with sound quality. Go for it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 highly recommened for a portable speaker Tuesday, May 06, 2008 A Customer from Newton, MA
I use this little speaker for presentations and for listening to music in my office or on the road. The quality is good for what the speaker is. (Although I also only paid $15 for it during one of buy.com's sales). I've had it for about 6 months now and just today had to change the batteries, which I think is pretty impressive! 5 of 5 awesome product Tuesday, April 08, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
I've been using it with my mp3 player. Good speaker and good price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 happy I bought it Thursday, February 07, 2008 A Customer from Mount Shasta, CA
It's extremely compact and for what it is the sound isn't bad (it's not home stereo equipment). Yes, the nicely stowed connection cord is too short but for my purposes (mobile massage therapist) it works really well. Having a (4 x AA rechargeable) battery powered speaker as well an mp3 player makes setup nearly instantaneous, and given that combo as a fairly typical setup, the cord length becomes a minor issue. I purchased this at a great discounted price so the value is extremely high. Don't expect awesome dynamic range and volume from any speaker like this and you won't be disappointed. 5 of 5 Wonderful Friday, December 28, 2007 A Customer from Springfield, VA
This is a great speaker! It is easy to carry around the house, batteries last a long time, and the sound is very good. It is superb for audio books. It is very good for music. It loses some fidelity at high volume, but I have no desire to listen to it that loud. After mine, I bought one for my wife and one for my son. They are both quite pleased with the speakers. 5 of 5 Best of several I've tried Sunday, December 23, 2007 A Pediatric Physical Therapist from Eureka Springs, AR
I use an iPod and external speaker to provide music where I do my work; it is more convenient than the DVD player I used to use. And I have tried several speaker systems. Some are more compact than this unit, some link through the sync connection rather than the headphone jack, but none of the others have:
1) the battery life,
2) the volume, and
3) the fidelity
of this logitech system. Face it, audiophile quality is not what you are going to get with a $40 speaker system, so the sync plug connector doesn't make that much difference. And a cute, integrated compact design doesn't mean much if the battery life is short, or if the speakers start to vibrate tinnily after six or seven uses at moderate volume.
This speaker delivers good sound, good volume, for a fair amount of time. I, for one, can't ask for more, and this is the one I find myself carrying day after day after day.

5 of 5 Very practical, decent sound, good value. Monday, December 17, 2007 A Customer from Fairfax, VA
First of the speaker is stylish, always a plus. It is also very practical to take with when travelling, weight almost nothing and folds to a flat shape. I haven't tried the battery option yet, so I can't tell how long they last.
Most importantly, the sound quality is OK, a little weak on Bass. But for its purpose, having a decent speaker to play music from your ipod or laptop when you are travelling, camping etc ... it is a good buy. It's practical, stylish, and cheap; which more than makes up for some weaknesses (that most people won't care for anyway) in the quality of sound. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love My Logitech Friday, December 14, 2007 Ken from Birmingham, Alabama
You can't get much more bang for your buck. Amazingly accurate sound reproduction for a speaker not much bigger than a hoagy. It's perfect for the way I use it, duct-taped to the top of my office PC tower. Now I can listen to internet radio while I work. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great sound for such a small speaker! Thursday, December 13, 2007 dw from Memphis, TN
I love this speaker. It is perfect for sitting on my desk at work or on the kitchen counter. There are times when the headphones just won't do and this little portable speaker is the answer! I was amazed at the quality of the sound for such a low price. I LOVE IT! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Increadible Buy! So good, my buddy took it to Mor Thursday, December 06, 2007 A Customer from West Bloomfield, Michigan
Great buy, and the dual voltage AC adapter is a great plus. My buddy liked it so much, he bought it from me and took it to Morroco with him! Great-great Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Speaker for the Great Price! Monday, December 03, 2007 A Customer from Stanford, CA
These are awesome. They're small, compact and provide great sound. It is nearly perfect except for having too short of an output line and occasionally shutting down when the volume is very low. I also wish there were controls on the speakers themselves, instead of relying on whatever media player you are using. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Used it as a GPS external speaker Monday, December 03, 2007 A Customer from Fair Oaks, CA
I just used it as an external speaker for my GPS in which the internal speaker had died. Great sound quality as compared to the GPS speaker. The cord was just the right length for this application. Speaker sat nicely within an indented area of the dash. My only complaint is with the battery saving feature which switches the unit off, if it doesn't detect any sound after 10 minutes. I have to contantly keep tabs on it and switch it back on, to keep from missing a GPS direction announcement. My only other gripe is there was no mention of how large it was in the description. It was much larger than I thought it would be. It's about 12 inches wide, by 6 inches deep. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 not so good Sunday, December 02, 2007 A Customer from california
heavy, doesn't sound good , the speaker jack is too short.other than that its good. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great speaker for travel Saturday, December 01, 2007 cbn from Troy, MI
This works well, gets plenty loud with my MP3, fairly good sound quality for compact package. All I expected in that regards - especially for the price. It is about 50% larger than I expected and was hoping for. When traveling light, it probably is larger than I would rate as "light" because of size. Still good though. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good Sound for portable speakers Saturday, December 01, 2007 George from Lexington,KY
I was looking for some speakers that I could use with my mp3 player when I am out camping. After trying several alternatives I tried these. The sound is good, which can not be said for many other portable alternatives. I highly recommend this speaker if you want something light that provides several hours of service. 5 of 5 Good value Friday, November 30, 2007 Phil D from Dover, DE
I wanted external speakers for better sound quality than I got from the tiny speakers installed in my flat screen display. This Logitech presents a flat panel driven by rear mounted speakers. The sound is krisper and much more to my liking. I use a TVBOX to watch TV while working on my computer. What I don't like is that after I mute the sound, the speakers turn off and I have to physically turn them back on. Maximum sound volume is a maximum of 32. I generally listen at a setting of 15 to 17. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good speakers for the $$$ Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Maricopa, CA
These are great little speakers. They're not extremely loud, but louder than you might think. They can fill a room pretty decently. For some reason I thought they'd be smaller, but that's not a bad thing. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Price/Portability create the value Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Flemington, NJ
Of course the usual gripe about the really short cord... You have to buy an extension before you have any hope of hooking this up at any reasonable distance from your computer speaker out.
The sound is average with not much of a stereo effect, that is to say poor imaging.
There are pluses... Price!!! Good bass!! Very portable with ac cord and battery options! (remember the audio extension cord!)
Not a dud, a good spare and trip/vacation solution. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Logitech mm28 Portable Speaker Friday, November 30, 2007 A Customer from Tennessee
In my opinion, this speaker is not up to Logitech's normally good standards. The sound is tinny, and it doesn't reproduce lower frequencies well at all. Also, there is a buzz with the sound...don't know if that's normal. I probably would not buy this product again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 fantastic product Thursday, November 29, 2007 V from Poway, CA
I love it! I use it at work with my ipod and it easily drowns out the bad elevator music heard in retail stores. My only wish is that it charges the ipod.. but for the price I paid, I don't really expect it to. Works great on vacations too. I definitely recommend it! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 The cord attached is just too short...can just not Thursday, November 29, 2007 Reddy from Colorado
This is a good looking gadget and is portable and that is where the nice stuff ends.... You can use it to play movies but not songs at a loud volume as the bass gets disturbing.
And the biggest draw back is the very tiny volume output cord, u cant even place the speaker aligned to the side of the laptop. It can only be used comfortably with an iPod. so if you plan to use it with a laptop, its a total waste!!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great speakers! Thursday, November 29, 2007 Katie from Glendale, CA
I purchased these speakers because I travel between schools in my district doing professional development. I read the reviews on buy.com before I bought them and felt they would be a good purchase for my needs. They are handy, convenient, work really well, no rebound or static, and every teacher who sees them wants to buy one! I hook them up to my iPod and iPhone to play my music as well. So handy on a nightstand when I'm traveling, too. They are PERFECT for all my needs. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Impressive Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Olathe, KS
I'm amazed by the sound quality these little speakers produce. I bought them to hook up my mp3 player when traveling, they can get loud even with battery power. When I'm not on the road I keep them hooked up to my PC for great everyday sound. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Almost Perect Thursday, November 29, 2007 steved from Edmond, OK
The design is excellent and the sound is adequate. Compact, covered, and with audio cord storage this unit is sleek and easy to pack. The cover rotates to become a speaker stand. Placement is critical to maximize soundstage and bass response YMMV. Works great when 2 or more people are watching DVDs on laptop or handheld in car or tent. Works great as an MP3 player, or video camera playback amp/speaker too. AA battery consumption is minimal and can go at least 50 hrs/set of 4. Some may find the 14" audio cord a bit short. My one and only gripe is that the unit's auto-power off function (while great to save battery life when on battery power) is also active when the speakers are plugged in to AC power. This is inconvenient on the set I use on my work laptop (when docked) because the speakers deactivate after about 5 mins of mute.
All in all they are compact, inexpensive, indestructable, and provide adequate response. Great value/price ratio here. I got two. One is attached to my laptop docking station and the other travels with me, and when home, is plugged into the XM radio feed. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Sound Savings!!! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 James from Ocala, Fl
I bought this item as a portable speaker for my IPOD. It works great and has reasonable acoustics. The short cord that some reviews complained about is a plus when used with an MP3 device. The battery function is also nice to use outside or in other on-the-go situations. I was so pleased, I bought another one for my teenage daughter who absolutely loves hers. In short, it's alot of sound for a little cash. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Neat Little Speaker!! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 MsLynitha from Denver CO
This was definitely one of my better buys. I use it with my laptop and all of my other gadgets that I might normally use headphones with. The auto shut off can be a bit annoying at times. For the price, and what I use it for, it's a great little speaker. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 A little more than you pay for Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Chisel Plow from Kansas City
I'm not entirely clear why some reviewers are having konniptions of joy and amazement over this thing. It is perfectly adequate as a small and portable amplification device, and with its low power requirements and built-in stand (/speaker cover for traveling), it works fine with an iPod or other audio device for listening in non-jostling environments. I probably wouldn't take it on a boat or RV except for use when anchored/parked, as it has no slot to put the iPod or other audio device in to make it a truly integrated, one-piece solution. However, this drawback is also a benefit, since you can plug it into any MP3 player or other device with a headphone jack (past or future) and can easily pick up your device to operate its controls without having to face the front of the "host" device like players with a slot. Styling is bland but inoffensive and the pushbutton on/off switch on top with its glowing blue LED feels and looks high-tech (and I agree with other reviewers that it does have a unique battery-saving auto-off feature that I have found quite handy). That said, it is worth about what I paid on Buy.com, maybe a little more, not the laughably high original price cited. This is not going to replace a full-size stereo or even a quality boombox, but for lightweight portable amplification at modest volumes it works quite well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good sound at a great price. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Mike from Milwaukee, WI
I've been using this speaker for a while now, it always has pretty good sound, with ok to good base. Its built solidly and the cover that doubles as a base can take a good whack with no injury.
It would be nicer with a longer cord in some ways, but then you would have to worry about it coming loose and getting damaged like all of my headphone cords end up. I would love to buy another one for at work if they go on sale again. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good portable speaker Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Gene from Mansfield, PA
My Creative Travelsound speaker gives a richer sound, but for the discounted price at which I bought this Logitech, it was definitely a good buy. Because of its unique construction, it's particularly good for outdoor conditions where there may be dust or moisture... I like the fact that I can fall asleep with it on and it turns itself off... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good product Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Bronx, New York
This speaker has quality sound. Excellent for a desk and will work with any mp3 player. The only small problem that I can find with the speaker is it doesn't have a volume button, but still worth the buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech Speakers Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Novato, CA
What a great deal! I bought two sets of Logitech speakers that are easily packed in a suitcase and yet deliver high powered sound, using battery or power cord. We use them for both I-Pods and laptops, both music and downloaded movies from Netflix, using our widescreen TV monitor with Logitech speaker on top. We did get the audio cord extension users mentioned in their critiques. Extremely happy!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great sound in a small package! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 John from Plymouth Indiana
I bought two of these speakers and gifted one. This is a specialty item and is very good for what it is. Yes, the cord is short and no, the sound is not high fidelity. It is, however, quite audible throught the room and a great improvement over laptop speakers and is a compact solution to the MP3 player put loud problem. It fits nicely in the outer pocket of my suitcase when traveling and I use it with my portable DVD player in hotels. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech speaker Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Devon from Valencia
I am very happy with this. I use it for a pc speaker and it works like a charm. I bought a second one for use with my MP3 player so that when I'm out and someone wants to share the music, I can just plug in. its small enough to fit in a bag or the trunk of my car so its always there if I want. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great compact speaker Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from LA, CA
This is a great speaker that is compact, light weight, and powerful sound for it's size. You will be pleased if you want something portable that doesn't just put out highs. Actually gives somes mids and mild bass. Only problem is that the cord is short. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Boca Raton, FL
This device is great as a portable speaker system for CD or digital audio players. While not audiophile sound, it is quite good at all but the highest volume. Your digital audio player may just barely have enough power to give you the volume you may desire, but for personal listening, it is fine. For the price, this is a wonderful device (very easy to carry) and a great value. I like it so much, I bought a second one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 no complaints... Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Kristen from Richmond, VA
Like the other reviewers have said, for the price this can't be beat. I use it in my kitchen when I am cooking, etc. because I can't hear the stereo in there. I have taken it with me when I travel and it fills a hotel room perfectly. At higher volumes it begins to lose sound quality, but I would not expect someone would be trying to use this small of a speaker to project in a big space.

5 of 5 A no-brainer at this cost!!! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A.S. from Roseville, CA
If you need something better than the cheezy speakers built into your laptop, this is the solution. If you want more people to hear what's in your MP3 player and you need decent sound quality, this is your solution. I wish this deal would have been available when I was traveling for business several years ago - this with mp3s on a laptop or mp3 player in a hotel room is the ultimate portable sound option. Don't expect Bose Wave Radio performance, but expect to be impressed at this price point. If the cord length bugs you, buy a $2 extension. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 REALLY good buy Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Seattle, WA
This little speaker kicks, especially since it was only $15.00! Sound detail is excellent. Bass reproduction is quite good at reasonable volume. Yes, you will here some bass distortion if the volume is very high but at a level that I'm surprised this thing delivers anyway and yes, the sound is a little bit directional but this is a very small speaker. I've been using it for several months now powered by both the AC adapter and AA batteries. You can't go wrong deciding on this unless your expectations are way out of line. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Buy more than one! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Woody from Cincinnati, OH
Very few of the useless and overpriced gadgets each year I buy get a thumbs up. However, this product is so good I have bought 12 so far and gifted 9 of them. There is not one bad thing you can really say about this item. They are loud, have real base, easy to use, built in chord, batteries last a long time (I use NiMH 2300mA rechargeables bought from buy.com in bulk - 24 for $20). It even has an AC adapter, but I have never used them. The speaker(s) are about an inch and a half thick and stand upright by it's own protective cover. At first I would have said the speaker chord was too short, but I realized after using an extension cable, I placed the MP3 player next to the speakers anyway, so there just was no real need for an extension cable after all. It was kind of an "Huh, well what do you know" moment. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech portable value Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from minneapolis, mn
This unique design offers very good sound with impressive bass from a portable unit. Simply put, just insert batteries, plug the unit into an iPod, Zune, Walkman, or other source and turn it on! I like the sound quality better than a lot of the other portable iPod type speakers out there. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great sound and battery life Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Tallted from Huntington Beach, CA
I've had this speaker(s) for a couple months now and I still haven't recharged the original batteries I installed in the speaker. The speaker (it's actually two speakers inside this thing) sounds fantastic and the volume is pretty much boom-box quality. It was about twice the size I expected but still very portable. I use it mainly with my laptops and my Nokia 770 internet tablet. The Nokia and this speaker works great for chores around the house, like washing the car. If you are looking for portable speakers for your tailgate party this would be a great choice. It has a clear hinged cover that protects the face of the speaker when not in use and swings behind the speaker as a stand when the speaker is operating. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pleasantly surprised Wednesday, November 28, 2007 John M from Milford, MI
I really wasn't expecting much. The price was so cheap and shipping was free. The reviews I read were mixed. It turned out to be decent quality, very portable and seemingly well made. Perfect for traveling where you want to use your mp3 player in a motel room or at the beach where others can enjoy it. Glad I bought it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great for travel Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Reston, VA
Bought one for myself and am very pleased overall. Sound quality is more than acceptable, runs on either batts or a/c connection, and it folds into its own case for stuffing into backpack. At the price, you cannot miss -- I have bought three total and am buying a half dozen more for stocking stuffers. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Speaker for my Laptop ... Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Stan from Baltimore, Md.
I just switched to a MacBook Pro so I couldn't use my 5.1 surround sound desktop system anymore. This is an excellent alternative to use not only with my laptop but with my ipod as well. I love the flat panel design, it's light weight and most of all it gives good overall sound from low to high frequencies. I also like the fact that it will run on 4 AA's or on the included AC adapter.
The only negative I have is that the input cable is too short, other than that this is an excellent piece from Logitech!
