    This remote or even others from the Harmony line up will help replace or consolidate all the remotes into one functional remote. The key is the on line software. Tell it the model number and more than likely they have the codes in the data base. Download it into the remote and that's it (you do need to answer some question on how you would like it to work), but if there is a button that you need the remote has a learn ability. Plus your setup is store on their site, so if something happens to the remote you can re-download the data base YOU create. To watch a DVD I press one button, it turns on OR/AND changes inputs, TV>DVD>SURROUND SOUND. I have have used the 688 for about two years now and I definitly reconmend it.

    Finally, a universal remote that actually is UNIVERSAL! Hell must have frozen over and world peace must only be around the corner. Absolutely brilliant and remarkably easy to program and use.

    I didn't want to spend this much $ on a remote, but got very tired of fumbling for three different remotes all the time. This one integrates all my components easily. The programming is a piece of cake. I'm going to buy another one!!!
