    5 of 5 Love it! Thursday, July 26, 2007
    A Customer from Michigan

I reseached remotes to use with my newly designed home theater, and I wanted one that had the feel of the TiVo "peanut". This one comes the closest. The remote is easily programable via your computer USB and the internet. Once it is setup, anyone can use it. Mother in law was using the "high fangled" gear with the remote to entertain the grandkids. I don't know if I would want to operate my system without this Universal remote. I have had this remote for over a year and a half. The battery cover broke and does not want to close completely. Only a slight blemish on an otherwise excellent additon to my system.

    5 of 5 Great product! Monday, November 01, 2004
    A Customer from Seattle, WA
I have tried a lot of universal remotes over the years, but this is the first one that is reasonably effective. The activity-based functionality takes a bit of getting used to, but once you understand the model it is pretty powerful. It did take me quite a while to get it set up to my liking--approx 5 hours total--but now that it is set up well, it works great. Some minor downsides: it would be helpful to have a few more activity buttons for direct access (rather than going through the "more activities" screen), a couple of general re-purposable buttons would be handy, the web-based setup app would be much improved with a real Windows client app, and the up/down/right/left button "circle" is sometimes hard for my large fingers to operate correctly. Overall, this is by far the best universal remote that I have ever used. A good universal remote is a very tough nut to crack. With just a bit more refinement, it would be a world-beater product.
