5 of 5 GREAT SPEAKER FOR MUSIC LOVERS Monday, December 29, 2008 Bennet from Texas
I purchased my G51's at Buy.com on sale for $72 after $40 mail in rebate.I bought them mostly for listening to music.Earlier I was using Bose companion2 2.1 system for listening to music.
I am very pleased about the sound quality I am getting from my new G51 comparing to my Bose Companion2 speakers. Since it's having dual inputs I am able to connect this to my laptop as well as to my HDTV.Installation was a piece of cake and wires are long enough to mount the speakers on my side walls. The control module gives you plenty of control over the way your system sounds.
The G51's open up a whole new world of watching and listening to a DVD movie with 5.1 surround sound.
I can't say anything bad about these G51's.Well worth the money, even if I didn't get them on sale. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a top of the line upgrade for their speaker system. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Good Speakers, great price Monday, September 29, 2008 Orlantho from Houston, TX
So far, they're great! I don't see any cons on the sound but I do on the physical product itselt and that it that I has really short cables. I have a big desk, and had to use extensions for two speakers. Was this review helpful?

The Logitech G51 Gaming Speakers is a superb system to have. The sound quality is quite clear and crisp, not to mention loud. I definitely recommend this system to any gamers out there looking to enhance their gaming performance. The time of delivery was also fast. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Value Monday, August 25, 2008 dittiman.singh from Fremont, ca
These are great speakers for the price.
For under a hundred bucks, I couldn't find anything better.
I love Logitech products, their quality is something I've come to like.
I set them up a few days back, the wiring was a pain in the wrong places....
It's hardwired into the speakers a little too short...
So I got 12' rca cable from dale's hardware, along with the wire-concealers.
Split the RCA cable into two so I could use them for each channel...
Seems to work fine...
If only they gave longer cables.....
The bass was set a little high for my taste, but that wasn't to hard to set, the control is really neat, it works pretty well, it's nice to be able to set the everything form one place...
the headphone and mic jacks were a nice touch.
I'm using them with my laptop's docking station so far, while I wait for my new desktop to show up.
It's then that I'll get true 5.1!
We'll see how that goes... Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 worth the money Monday, June 30, 2008 A Customer from marietta, ga
I got the system in two days and was happy with the shipping. The only thing that I was not really happy was the size of the bass. It's small and volume can't turn up loud enough. Ohter than that, it was a good product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great system at good price point Friday, June 20, 2008 A Customer from Sioux Falls, SD
Used this to replace a altec lansing 4.1 system with a max around 75 watts, and this system is awesome. The clarity is superb in comparison, and now I need to re-rip my cds. After MIR only paid $70 which is fantastic for these speakers. Does lack the thx and stuff that the z-series but is quite a bit more affordable. Wouldn't have killed them to make the wires, especially the front speakers longer, but they do come with velcro ties which is very nice. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Logitech Gaming Speakers Wednesday, February 06, 2008 A Customer from Bellevue, NE
Gaming system speakers came in a compact box with 5 speakers and subwoofer. Instructions were simple to follow to set up the system. The instructions call for 3 connections to the back of the computer - to the speaker output, the microphone input, and a subwoofer input. Since I didn't have a sub input, I had to use a cord from an older set of computer speakers that had a double speaker connection and connected the speaker input and sub input. The controller for the system is good and allows you to control the volume of the center, sub, surround, and master volume. It adds alot of volume and power to the sound from the games I play. Speaker wires are long but the ones for the surround speakers are not long enough to wrap around to the back of a standard sized room - so I ended up putting them on top of my entertainment center away from my center speaker. Bought the G51 to replace my Z-5500 (damaged subwoofer) and am happy to have saved almost $175. The G51 works perfect for PC systems...even a laptop. The G51 speakers sound great, but there are few options available versus the Z-5500, such a digital sound.
A sound card with 5.1 output is needed to take full advantage of the G51's capability. A laptop "headphone out" will provide stereo sound only, but I'm upgrading to a creative card plus an adapter.
The Z-5500 is a great system (I have another one with a different PC system. It will rock the walls, but so will the G51. The Z-5500 will take different speakers without any alteration, while the G51 required the included speakers....unless you can create your own RCA jacks.
The Z-5500 with an entertainment center is best, for a PC the G51 works well. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good surround sound Monday, January 21, 2008 Scott Williams, Bender from Milwaukee, WI
These speakers do sound great. and when i plugged in my xbox360 into it with just left and right cables, it uses the matrix function to give you surround sound. I have had problems getting a balance between the front and rear sound levels. but i think i got it balanced after 2 weeks using them.
the control panel ROCKS!!! Was this review helpful?
