I don't understand why some people may have had problems, because the installation could not had been any easier -- just make sure the software is installed first before connecting the devices, and that the receiver is not tucked in a far corner from the desktop. A direct line of sight is not needed between devices and receiver, but having it fairly close helps, like with all wireless devices. Windows had no problems recognizing any of the components. Once installed, the media pad had no problems displaying song titles when using iTunes and Winamp. The included MediaLife software, while not as good as Windows Media Center, is good for ocassional use. Typing with this keyboard is a joy -- incredibly smooth and quiet. I could type on this one for hours and not have my fingers hurt nor be bothered by the constant "clackety" noise of regular keyboards. In my search for the perfect keyboard, this one comes very close. My only (very minor) complaints would be the lack of indicator lights for CapsLock and F-Lock to know their current status. Also, after Windows boots, the Media Pad doesn't wake up and connect until any of its keys is pressed. As with most Logitech hardware, quality is extremely good. Highly recommended.

I have had this for about a month now, and was a little hesitant to buy it after reading all of the available reviews. People either seemed to love it or hate it. I thought I needed the extra range the Bluetooth would offer over other wireless combos. I needed 8 or 10 feet, because my display is a plasma TV. I use it at home only, and I have not tried any gaming. The mouse overall works well, but drifts some, depending on the surface you are using it on. Battery life has been good. I used the Bluetooth hub provided to HotSync my Palm Tungsten E2 and that worked like a charm.

I was a bit concerned from the other review but decided to give it a try for the reduced price and rebate offer. The slim form factor and configurable buttons makes this a very sharp looking setup instead of the typical beige rectangle or wavy Microsoft keyboards. The keyboard itself works flawless out of the box but getting the MediaPad to behave like I wanted took a bit of trial and error on the setup in the Setpoint software. Mainly has to do with how you want the LCD to display IM/Email/Song Track info. The audio track info sometimes stays on the display after I've quit iTunes or WinAmp. Im waiting on my Bluetooth headset to give the integrated system a real workout. We'll see how it can handle audio/mouse/keyboard all at once. That will be the real test; Ill update the review when I know more.
