    4 of 5 Arm Saver Saturday, May 30, 2009
    P Lam from San Francisco

Long hours with conventional mice caused severe elbow pains for me. This is the only trackball I can find with middle-button functionality (necessary with CAD software I use). This has been a real arm saver for me, although I hope I won't (over time) come down with thumb muscle pain from overuse (rolling the ball). Cordless feature is a real plus in allowing trackball to be used not only on desk top. It is relaxing to switch to usage on chair arm rest, or even on lap top. Considerations: - antenna/receiver must be stood up vertical or working range gets really short. - middle-button actuation is really stiff (for constant use). - shortage of programmable buttons so common nowadays, except in bare-bones mice. There is only one (middle-wheel button) with very limited (and not useful) programmable functions. - no OFF switch to conserve battery life over long periods of inactivity. Battery life seems reasonably good in spite of that.

    5 of 5 Great design Sunday, April 12, 2009
    Richard from Frederick, MD
This is my 3rd Logitech Trackball mouse. I have both the wired and wireless models. They work well, especially in a confined space. Very reliable and easy to setup. Visitors have trouble with it at first as they try to move it around the desktop, but soon they are using it like a pro.

5 of 5 How to NOT move your mouse Sunday, March 29, 2009
    Art from Hooksett, NH
This mouse takes no additional space to use; just it's footprint. All movement is on the topside of the mouse with all cuser movement controlled by the rollerball (by the thumb) and the wheel to scroll up and down the page (with the forefinger). The buttons use the normal 2 fingers next to the thumb. GREAT for laptops!!

4 of 5 Logitech Cordless Trackman Wheel Trackball Tuesday, March 17, 2009
MarlinJim from West Palm Beach, Florida
I have always prefered the Trackball I am a heavy handed person who can't stand to roll around on a mouse pad with a regular type mouse, which is why I have always used a Trackball. I was also tired of the corded one. So, I got this cordless Trackball and I really like it alot, although sometimes it stops working when computer comes out of sleep mode, then you need to reboot and push the connect button on the receiver and on the bottom of the mouse itself then it will work like new once again. Overall I am happy with this product and enjoy not having the cord bothering me. I recommend to everyone. I give it a B++

4 of 5 reduce the pain Monday, March 09, 2009
    A Customer from Bloomington, IN
It does reduce the pain of my right hand. And now I use both right and left hands to control mice. But it has no so powerful functional buttons as my Revision MX.

4 of 5 Needs to incorporate micro USB receiver... Thursday, February 26, 2009
    Norm from Seattle
Love the mouse, once you get used to it, you will not use any other style. Think about it. It is a stationary mouse. You need very little space at all to operate. Great for when you are out & about. I've been using the same 1 for about 7-8 years now. Practcally bulletproof. The ball pops out for easy cleaning & all controls fit you like a glove. It would be perfect for laptops if the tethered receiver wasn't so clunky. That's why they get a "3" on ease of use. Logitech is really missing the boat by not pairing their "worlds smallest USB reciever" (see VX Nano cordless) with this intelligently designed mouse.

    5 of 5 Excellent product Saturday, January 31, 2009
    Tom from Seattle, WA
I had a version of this mouse with a cord. The cordless is a great improvement since my approach to surfing is pretty relaxed. I lean back in my chair, feet up on the desk and use the mouse in my lap. Works like a champ.

    5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, January 28, 2009
    Jack from Eau Claire, WI
I use a trackball, because I can't work with my arms reaching out and to the side for long, or it irritates my shoulder. Wth the track ball, my arm can stay in front of me, and I can surf the Net or process words forever. I've used a Logitech trackball for years, and I recently bought a wireless one for a new computer. I like the wireless even better. I recommend trackballs to people all the time, and this one is the best. Pay the extra for the wirelss model. It's well worth it.

    5 of 5 Great mouse, Friday, November 28, 2008
    Sam from Crestview, FL
Great mouse, I like it very much, very easy to use, like they said the reciver is big, however, it is worth the money. I like it. The set up took like 25 min, but after using it and playing with it, it is worth everything.

4 of 5 Awsome invention the Trackman Wednesday, July 02, 2008
    Lyn from McDonough, Ga
Trackman is the best. Have used the corded device for several years with the best results. Cord is a bit bothersome. Bought the cordless to eliminate the cumbersome cord and the cordless works exactly the same, except no cord. A fault is that occaisionnaly, (very seldom), the trackman cordless stops functioning, usually after computer comes out of sleep mode. It then requires rebooting the computer, then pushing the button on the transmitter to reconnect it. Love the trackman marble. Only way to go.

    5 of 5 Love it Friday, June 13, 2008
    Stanley from Frederick, MD
My wife has used a Logitech wired trackman marble for years and loved it. Recently it has been acting up and I decided to upgrade her to this wireless model. She does not adapt well to new things in general and I was a little concerned because the old model she used had 3 buttons and no scroll wheel. Well, she adapted to the scoll wheel, but also to the new button locations and the different contour as well in just a day or two. She loves not having the wire constantly moving the position of the trackball every time she pulls the keyboard tray out.

    5 of 5 Improved performance Wednesday, June 11, 2008
    A Customer from Irwindale, CA
I love this mouse. My old one wore out after about 7 years of constant use. The new is a bit smaller which isn't quite as comfortable but I still wouldn't use any thing else. On a god note the new mouse has a stronger wireless signal. GREAT product!!!!!

    5 of 5 balls afire Saturday, April 26, 2008
    Nancy from Los Angeles
I used a corded logitech trackball for years and loved it. Hated regular mouse gadgets. Then Logitech discontinued the trackball, mine got old, and I was stuck. Then recently I noticed they were once again available. It took a nanosecond to become used to it again--and entranced. So much better than driving a silly mouse around my desk. I do think the original corded one with its flatter shape was better for my hand, but this is still just great. I was thinking the other day that maybe I should buy another and store it just in case Logitech gets delusional again and re-discontinues them. A ball in the hand is better than a mouse!

I was reluctant initially, but this thing simply rocks. Works on crowded tables. It is very precise and does everything a mouse does. However, it is not for lefties. Highly recommendable.

    5 of 5 The marble Thursday, December 27, 2007
A Customer from Rochester Hills MI
This is by far the best mouse I have ever owned! I liked it so much I bought it for my desktop at home my laptop and my computer at work. No moving your elbow, wrist or shoulder. I would like to see a little larger marble but would recomend to anyone.

    2 of 5 Ouch! Monday, December 03, 2007
    Paul from Moab, UT
I have been using a Logitech Trackball for years now, many years, and loved it. Through wear and tear, it was simply time to get a new one. While my new one functions beautifully, it is considerably smaller than the original. The old one fit my hand perfectly and the design supported the wrist. I began to experience pain after just a couple of hours of use with the new one. It simply doesn't have the support of the old one, and it appears that all the new styles are the same size. I guess there must be a reason Logitech reduced the size, but it certainly is not better, and I am disappointed. Also, there are no clear instructions on how to clean it. And, if I knew the receiver had such a long cord, and the trackball needed to be so close to it, I would have simply purchased a corded trackball for a lot less money.

4 of 5 Fine device, could use more buttons Sunday, October 07, 2007
    Martune from NY, NY
After 10 years of using a corded PS/2 version, my new laptop and its lack of PS/2 ports prompted me to buy the cordless USB version a few months ago. Traditional mice, with or without wrist rests, kill my wrist. Since the Trackman's design places one's hand in a stationary position with any pressure being directed towards the palm of the hand and not the wrist, I don't have wrist pain. Without the cord, I can position the device whereever it feels the most comfortable. I've tested it successfully to about 12 feet from the sensor and have also found that it works well with a PS/2 to USB converter cable. My only complaint is that I'd like it to have a few more buttons that could be programmed for Escape, Back, etc. like several traditional mice have.

5 of 5 so much better than a regular mouse Thursday, August 16, 2007
    Kurt from Seattle, WA
If you learned on a trackman you can easily use any mouse but if you have always used a regular mouse you will probably hate this type of mouse. Although this mouse has so many advantages over a regular mouse; it is always in the same place on your desk, you have much more control over the cursor and you can use it in your lap while sitting one the couch or anywhere. Try that with a regular mouse! Try it, and force yourself to use it for a time, you will never want to go back once you master it!!

4 of 5 Very good when you need a mobile trackball Wednesday, April 11, 2007
A Customer from Deer Park , IL
I NEED my trackball. In mobile applications I was always coiling and uncoiling and twisting the cord of my previous Logitech trackball with a cord. After 3 years of abuse the cable gave up. The cordless trackball is a much easier solution for a mobile trackball. Just a little bit expensive but worth it when you need it.

    4 of 5 Almost Perfect Friday, March 02, 2007
    A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
I have used this trackball for over a year at work and now I am buying one for my home office. The battery does last several months even with at least 45 hours / week of use. I currently have a corded Microsoft Trackball at home of a similar design. But I am replacing it with this Logitech trackball because the Microsoft model always needs cleaning or it gets jammed up. This one always has a smooth feel. On the rare occasion that you do have to clean it, you won’t get blinded by the laser like you do on the MS model. My only complaints are 1) you can’t get this in a 5 button version. And 2) the wireless only seems to work if the receiver is about 2 feet away or closer. But that may be because my desk is mostly metal.

    4 of 5 Great product Thursday, January 25, 2007
    Rick from Chicago, il
This is a great mouse as I already have two corded versions so I bought the cordless one to use with my work laptop thinking I could get away from that long cord of the corded version. Well, the "transmitter" you plug into your USB port has this really long chord with it. So instead of a long cord to my mouse, it goes to a transmitter. Not really chorded. I thought it would have the little "fob" that simply plugs into the USB port and has no chord. Still a good product. I just still have a long chord (even if I wrap the chord up and tie it in a knot, it's not what I expected).

    4 of 5 Pretty Good Thursday, October 05, 2006
    A Customer from Indianapolis, IN
I think this mouse is a good replacement for a typical mouse. However I would like to point out a coworker of mine has smaller hands and couldn't work it very well. It took some getting used to but I think ultimately my wrist will appreciate the ergonomic design much better. If by any chance you have soreness surrounding your thumbs normally, don't get this!

5 of 5 Cordless Trackball does the trick! Tuesday, September 26, 2006
    Matt from Arlington, Virginia
This item is perfect for cramped work spaces where cords and movement are a problem. Stationary use maximizes available space and user comfort. Long battery life and super connection with receiver. Personally, I think if more people tried a trackball, the mouse would become obsolete. Great product!

4 of 5 Still like it after 3 years Thursday, April 13, 2006
    A Customer from MD
I've had one of these for about 3 years, maybe more. Am now getting one for my daughter who said she wanted one too. Pros: The most significant benefit to me is that it doesn't need an area of clear desk space like a mouse does. So on my crowded desk with 2 CRT monitors and keyboards, it can sit on a corner or desk drawer. Next, being cordless too, you can move it to different positions (to include your lap) at different times for comfort and to prevent repetative motion problems. A mouse requires the lifting and moving of you entire arm. With this, just thumb and button fingers. The scroll wheel acts as middle button. Cons: Unless you are particularly talented with this sort of thing, it is not well suited for fast-gaming sorts of things. Battery cell: I don't think Logitech gives any guidance re rechargables, but I've been using them fine. If I don't have one charged, I pop in an alkaline while recharging. I also use this to get the last bit of energy from cells that aren't strong enough for other devices.

    Cher from AL
I love this mouse! So much so, that this is my 2nd purchase on it! I've had my old one (same one) for years, it has seen better days. I've tried other mouses but they just weren't as good as this one. I couldn't find another one of these anywhere and found it here at buy.com. I'm so excited! I love this mouse! Thanks Logitech!! And Thanks Buy.com for the quick turnaround, ya'll rock!

5 of 5 WAY BETTER THAN THE MICROSOFT VERSION Saturday, February 28, 2004
    A Customer from LA
I have had both the Microsoft and Logitech version of this mouse. Both are similar in construction, but the trackball movement/fluidity of this version is clearly better. If you like thumb trackballs (which is all I use), I strongly recommend that you go with this one.

    5 of 5 Comfortable, precise Saturday, November 22, 2003
A female in SE Ohio from SE Ohio
I used to have an old Logitech trackman wheel (with the cord) and couldn't find it anymore so bought a Microsoft trackball. BIG mistake! Nowhere near as precise and too large for my hand. I purchased the Logitech Trackman Optical cordless and am fully happy again. Logitech's driver is tops and the trackball is very smooth tracking and comfortable in my hand. I only wish they'd left the buttons a little farther apart like my old Trackman.

5 of 5 The ideal mouse Thursday, April 04, 2002
    Rick from San Pedro
A track ball is the way you wish a mouse would work. This Logitech trackball is the best way to get rid of your mouse and wire forever. Forget those optical mouses - they are still a mouse. This trackball is "WIRELESS." The set up is easy, and the wireless really works. You totally forget there ever was a wire connected to a point/click device. Just plug the little transmitter the same place your old point and click device was at(PS2).Pop in the batteries in your trackball. Turn on the computer. It recognizes the new trackball, and you can forget about that old track ball or mouse you use to have, with that awful cord! Love this thing!
