5 of 5 Wireless trackball-WOW! Tuesday, June 02, 2009 Mark from Arlington, TX
I have been a trackball user for about 20 years now and have found the concept of a trackball worlds better than a regular mouse. That being said, I always thought that a wireless trackball was superfluous. After all, it's a stationary device, right? Boy was I pleasantly surprised! This trackball has more features than any I have previously owned, including Kensington's Expert. But not having the wire attached has freed me up in my daily use (use it with a laptop and take it with me on regular moves). I have found this to be the most ergonomically comfortable trackball I've ever used and that's saying something! The fluidity of the ball, the ease of setting up the control program, the multiple choices available to you for button assignment--all these things make this a top choice for anyone wanting freedom from the mouse. This is the best mouse ever. There aren't many trackballs available anymore and I can't figure out why. They are so easy to use. I have used this model for sometime and the only problem I have had is with the extention that attaches to the computer. I use is on a laptop so it gets moved around a lot and that seems to wear the cord out. But I still wouldn't be without one. Luv it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent value! Monday, February 16, 2009 A Customer from Southwest Virginia
I replaced an older trackball with this item and found it to be quite a nice upgrade. I had been using the Trackman and have enjoyed it for several years. I upgraded in order to take advantage of the extra buttons on the newest model. It works great! The only downside is that the ball is worked by the first and third fingers and I am used to using the thumb. That will come with practice I guess! The extra features are sweet and the control is nice and tight when searching a web-page or working in a document. The ONLY complaint I have is that Logitech basically reused the same old receiver! The thing is HONKING HUGE!!!! Why can't EVERY receiver be the size of a Nano? This thing weighs as much as some mice! It gets in the way too. Otherwise, there is no reason NOT to upgrade when you have the chance. Your fingers will thank you! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great But........ Monday, September 15, 2008 tmheisler from Tega Cay, SC
I really enjoy using my new wireless trackman. I have only one complaint about the product. The "left click button" used by your thumb for making most of your actions come to life is MUCH HARDER to press than any of the other buttons on the trackman. I almost have to "grab" the unit so I can press the button without moving the unit. I don't know if it is inherent to the trackman or just this one item but I almost have to press it so hard that I move the entire unit every time I click instead of just touching it as required by the other buttons. 5 of 5 Better Than Microsoft Trackball Explorer Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Big Daddy from NJ
At first I was upset that my microsoft trackball explorer was not working right. And I knew it wouldn't be long before it was dead so I started looking on Ebay for a new one thats when I got sticker shock. $200 for a new one, I think not, so here I am with my review of the Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan Trackball. This is so much better, Cordless, More buttons, Availability and Cheaper. I will be buying 2 more as back-ups from Buy.com of course. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Up is not Up... Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Team Louish from Saratoga Springs, UT
Just so people know, I am addicted to the Logitech Marble Mouse. I litterally own over 10 of them for all my computers. When I saw this new cordless trackman, I was very excited for a couple reasons. 1. Cordless 2. Scrollwheel. The problem I had though, is that when I used the mouse, the cursor was lagging. Then I realized, what "I" concidered to be "UP", the mouse concidered to be more like north east. Because the mouse isn't symetrical like the Marble mouse, its very difficult to adjust and get used to it. If I was "switching" mice, and no longer using the marble mouse, then I could see my self just learning how to get used to it, and keeping it. But because I have 10 other marble mouse in the house, I didnt want to have to constantly be switching tricking my brain which way is up. I sold the mouse to my friend (who uses the microsoft cordless trackball one), and he had the same problem. Simply, up isnt up. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Mouse! Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Mark from Omaha, NE
This is the first Trackball Mouse that I have purchased for my own use but have used others that use the thumb roller. With the roller moved it does take a bit of adjustment at first but it allows you more precise control once you get it down. I find it to be the ultimate in ergonomics! Less stress on your arm and back if you use a mouse all day like I do. The buttons are easy to use and navigate with. I would definetly recommend this TrackBall to anyone wanting a good product at a good price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Cordless Optical Trackman Thursday, June 19, 2008 A Customer from Dixon, Illinois
This is another great product from Logitech. I've read the other reviews and yes it is best for people with big hands like me. I've always used logitech and prefer a ball for tracking as the mouse remains in one position and the fact that it's cordless is a great benefit also. A few people complained about problems with the mouse such as only lasting a year, but do they know about Logitechs GREAT customer support?, probably not. I've used Logitech products for quite a few years now and their support is second to none, which is an important feature for me. Buy this mouse, you won't be dissappointed. Hope this review helps you to make your decision. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 too big for small hands Saturday, May 10, 2008 Peter from New York, NY
I used the old microsoft trackball until it fell apart and got the Logitech Trackman as a replacement.
The Trackman is well made, easy to set up and seemed to have everything I was looking for until I started to use it.
I have relatively small hands and it is simply too big for me to use with ease but I'm sure anyone with regular sized or large hands would be happier. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice, but not perfect Monday, May 05, 2008 Jim from Milwaukee, WI
I've had a microsoft trackball explorer for years, and loved it. I wanted another, but it's no longer available. I went for this device when I added trackball pointing to a workstation at my office. I'm getting used to using this device, but the right click button is just at an odd angle and hard to use. The other controls are productivity boosters, but the right click button slows me down. 5 of 5 Cordless Optical Trackman Tuesday, April 22, 2008 vze2jrpf from Maryland
I purchased this product because I had a lot of pain in my shoulder from reaching out to the regular mouse. This way I can position the Trackman close to my keyboard (by the way a Logitech wireless keyboard) and there is no stretching involved. Installation was quick and simple and performance is smooth and precise. I have used Logitech products for many years and have never been disappointed. I gladly give this product 5 Stars. 4 of 5 Not as good as the original trackball Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Liverpool, New York

5 of 5 Quicker, more versatile, and more accurate than an Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Bill from Seattle
I have been using these for some time and feel like I have gloves on, when I have to use an ordinary mouse. I have also trained several seniors to use them, as people with mobility problems find them much better than a mouse which can slide when you try to click. They can turn the ball to get the curser where they want it, and them take their hand off the ball, and left click without moving the curser, which can be a problem for people with mobility problems when using an ordinary mouse. Recalcitrant mouse users may require a bit of retraining, but can be retrained. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Trackball No Wire Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Wes from Petoskey, Michigan
Nice Trackball. The lack of a wire is nice on my cluttery desk. The Trackball in question here is being used in a business environment and gets a lot of usage. We got no complaints over it.
Totally easy installation. This would be great in some households with pets. I have always liked trackballs from the first time they were available. Once upon a time about 6-7 years ago our c*ckateil (Penelope) chewed the cord off our trackball at home and wrecked it. Now it would be "No Wire--No Problem" Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan Tuesday, September 25, 2007 Don Norton from San Francisco, CA
Replaced a corded version of the same product to reduce desktop clutter. Mission 1: Reduce desktop clutter; result: accomplished. Mission 2: Increase web functionality; result: mixed. Inclusion of new scrolling wheel a plus for web browsing, the thumb-based button for left clicking takes some getting used to, but once you get over that hump, this is an excellent device. 3 of 5 Alright But........ Monday, June 18, 2007 S. Thee from St. Louis, MO.
I have always used a trackball mouse on my laptop. When I could no longer find the one that I was used to I thought I would go wirless. This mouse is similar in appearance to the Microsoft mouse that I was using. However, I find the Logitech mouse to be to bulky for comfort and my hand tires easily. And as far as cordless goes, you have a USB cord with an attachment that is larger than average. I might as well have a corded mouse. I am not happy with this purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value for The Price!!! Sunday, January 21, 2007 Glenn from Tampa, FL

5 of 5 Highly Recommend Thursday, November 02, 2006 A Customer from Cincinnati, OH
This mouse is great. The trackball eases the wrist and shoulder pain. Was used to an intellimouse with a forward and back button - this has both. Very easy to use. I like the lock for copy/paste and dragging. The sensitivity & directionality of the ball and the button assignment can all be changed with the software. Easy to adapt to. Only complaint would be that I am a 5'2" female with smaller hands and it it a bit too large but I love the functions. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Overall great Sunday, October 15, 2006 A Customer from New Orleans, LA
This is a great product for general office use, but it is a little awkward if you use it for gaming or quick screen movements. This is because the balls movement is very stiff (there is alot of resistance compared to 10 or so trackballs I have owned) The cursor movement seems delayed from the trackball. It doesn't feel seamless like Logitech's high end wireless mice. This is likely a software issue, but I haven't taken the time rectify it.
Still recommend it, great ergonomics. and you can't beat it being a wireless trackball. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I love this thing! Friday, September 22, 2006 A Customer from Clinton, WA
This is the second Logitech mouse I've owned, the first wired trackball is still going strong after 7 years. I like this new one even better. I bought these because they were suggested by my doctor as I had pain in my shoulder from moving a regular mouse and because it also helped wrist and finger pain. Actually I have no pain anymore and it is so much quicker than a regular mouse especially with the scroll wheel and the back and forward buttons for web surfing. I hate it now when I have to use a regular mouse , it's so slow Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Best Trackman yet! Monday, July 24, 2006 Sean Lee from Indy, IN
If you're like me and use a trackball for your notebook then you'll love this one. I had Logitech's $19 trackman for years, but it finally needed replacement. I searced around and decided to buy this one and I'm happy I did. It's got a great feel and the ball is a tad bit bigger so it's more comfortable. I'm actually gonna buy another one for my pc desktop. Was this review helpful?

This is the best and most comfortable mouse I have ever had. I had hand surgery to repair bones in my thumb and index finger and cartledge replacement. That is when I bought this mouse. Both my husband and I love it. Highly recommend. A++++++++ Was this review helpful?

ergonomically friendly and has plenty of functionality - more than most will use. Works great for those of us who don't have a lot of space for a traditional mouse.
Recommendation: get rechargable batteries. I have found that it will run a couple of months at least on two AA rechargables. If you buy four batteries, and keep two charged, then it will save you lots of $ in the long run. Was this review helpful?
