4 of 5 Better than expected..... Saturday, June 16, 2007 Wally Swoboda from Kansas City, MO
Delivers full rich sound across the spectrum on a variety of music . . . impressive performance for the size and price ($100 rebate to boot). Decent full-size remote with basic commands. Overall I'd say the AudioStation is a very good one-room system with solid features and performance. Portability is an issue due to no handle and the large power 'brick' with dual cords (one with a loose connection). It is portable...just a bit of a pain to gather it up and move around...really my only complaint. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, June 13, 2007 Marcus from Maryville, TN
I found the sound quality to be excellent from the Logitech Audiostation. The small speakers pack a large punch and fill the room with a very rich audio experience. The only drawback I find is with the touch controls on the front of the unit and the remote. The touch controls on the unit I purchased are hyper-sensitive which, for me, means anytime I get within a half inch from the front, my volume turns down. But I can live with that one minor annoyance for all the positive features this item has. I recommend this item for anyone that enjoys rich sound but needs to be space conscious. 5 of 5 A Great product at a miracle price! Friday, April 20, 2007 Tony Bellario from Los Angeles, CA
I can't be positive enough about the Audiostation, which, believe me, is a relief.
When it first came out, I read all the reviews raving about it. As I was readying to buy it, I started seeing all the problems people were having -- defective units, units shipped DOA, miserable customer service at Logitech, etc. My heart sank, because none of the competing products had the features -- especially FM radio -- and none had the sound quality to rival this. So I waited about five months.
When Buy.com offered a $100 rebate off an already low price (most places are selling it for between $275 and $300), and I realized that I could get it for about $130 after the rebate and some discount codes, I held my breath and jumped in.
The item came OVERNIGHT! Free shipping, regular FedEx ground. Apparently the warehouse is in Fontana, CA, and I'm in LA -- about 45 minutes away. I plugged it in, and it's working fine. (The product ID is not in the range that the Logitech website says had problems.)
Sound quality: awesome. HUGE volume, great bass, deep, rich sound, light highs. It blows the Bose and the Klipisch out of the water.
FM radio -- great.
Clock -- easy to see and great.
Remote -- great.
Looks -- really great, especially with speaker grilles off.
My only complaints: power brick is huge; radio tuning requires a lot of button presses on the remote; can't navigate inside the iPod when you're playing, other than play, pause, skip to next song.
Still, these are minor. The looks, feature set, sound quality, and above all, ludicrously cheap price, make this a MIRACLE and a MUST-HAVE. Was this review helpful?
