After reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned what I would be getting. I bought this for my seven year old grandson and figured it wasn't that big of deal. When I removed it from the box I was very impressed. I can not get over how smooth it is. It feels like top notch quality and works like a dream! Great product at a buy.com great price. But the picture is wrong (at this writing); it shows a different model of Logitech joystick, one with a twist handle for rudder control. The Attack 3 has no such rudder control, but it does have two of the eleven ( ! ) buttons between the stick and the throttle, where they are handy for use for rudder on airplanes or tail rotor on helicopters, when programmed for those purposes. The software is not included but the latest version can always be downloaded from Logitech. The stick has a very nice, smooth feel and everything about the device has a solid quality feel. I bought it primarily for auto racing games where the third axis of twist-control joysticks isn't used anyway -- just forward and back for acceleration and braking, and side to side for turning -- but the stick feels so good I'll use it for flying games as well. In my experience, Logitech joysticks are hard to beat for quality and this one is fantastic for the price. Was this review helpful?
