5 of 5 Backsaver! Monday, October 12, 2009 Monty from Atlanta, GA
What a unique and useful alternative to the typical docking station. Instead of having to purchase or keep a seperate monitor around this station sets the laptop monitor at a height that is comfortable to use. This product makes the laptop functional in a way I didn't think possible. It ends the "laptop back hunch" you get from all day in front of your laptop.
The fact that the base securely cradles the keyboard for travel is genius! (One reviewer mentioned that they do not snap together, which is true, but it is a magnetic "lock" that holds them together with magnets in the base--it works quite well!) Key board is of high quality and has a high end feel. The keys on the keyboard have just the right "feel" to them making typing quick and simple. I have never owned a better keyboard.
The instructions are simple and easy follow with great pictures to go with each step. One thing, though: MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG EVERYTHING FROM YOUR COMPUTER (USB RELATED) FROM THE LAPTOP FIRST. The instructions tell you this but it is the LAST thing they tell you! (Who reads the entire instruction list BEFORE setting up??)
One niggling issue: if you use the keyboard tilt leg the keyboard tends to migrate around the desk. Other than that, its perfect!

I travel frequently and stay for a few days in a remote office. I take my laptop and this notebook stand with me. It's slim enough to fit into a large notebook bag with the laptop. I am extremely happy with this stand. I only wish that it had more than one stand setting, because my laptop screen does not bend backwards enough for the totally perfect view, but it is not a big deal. Note: the 2 product pieces do not snap together, the pieces just fit together. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very high quality dock Tuesday, September 23, 2008 A Customer from Houston, TX
The keyboard feels really nice and is very comfortable to type with. The keyboard connects without any troubles and doesn't drop connection. The USB hub it comes with is not quite enough for me so I just plug another hub in so everytime I dock my computer, 1 usb wire and power and we're good to go!

5 of 5 A few extra dollars for alot of extra comfort... Thursday, July 24, 2008 James from Atlanta, GA
I needed something to keep my laptop separated from the table/desk I normally set it on(to help keep it cool). I wanted something with a nice wireless keyboard. I got both and then some! comfort, convenience, cooling(airflow) and extra ports (USB). This stand greatly enhances the useability and comfort of any size laptop. I wish it werent so expensive, but relative to other docking stations it is quite reasonable. Logitech always (in my experience) makes a good product, this continues to hold true! Highly recommend, if you can afford a 'few' extra dollars. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wow Sunday, June 29, 2008 Software Maniac from Seattle, WA
Just bought it. Like all Logitech quality products, this is wonderful. I also own the DiNovo Edge keyboard and I am shocked -- this keyboard is close to the same size, very comfortable, silent, and beats any Microsoft keyboard out there (now and I'm sure in the future). The stand is configurable and I use it for my Wacom tablet instead of a laptop. So, I use this for a desktop system.
The USB ports make this the deal of the year. Thanks, Logitech!

5 of 5 Excellent Product Monday, June 23, 2008 A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
After spending $1,000 on a new laptop for my wife's graduate studies, I wanted to find a way to make her work at home much more comfortable. However, I just couldn't bring myself to spend another $500 on a docking station, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and second power supply, nor do we have a good place for a permanent setup. The Alto was the perfect solution. Now she gets the full keyboard she much prefers and the monitor at a much more comfortable height. Additionally, it's portable enough that she can pack it in her backpack and take it to the coffee shop to work. The Alto does have its own power supply which I would recommend using when utilizing the USB hub, but it can be powered from the computer’s USB bus. My only complaint is the action of the keys. I prefer my keyboards to be quite "springy" whereas the Alto keyboard is soft but also quiet. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic stand Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Cambridge, MA
This is an upgrade from the previous Logitech Alto stands. It is a fantastic product, making my work with the laptop that much more comfortable. It effectively turns your laptop into a mini desktop of sorts. The stand is not exactly small, so it is not ultra portable. But if you tend to move to other places for a significant period of time (say 1 week or so, then it is a good investment. Was this review helpful?

I am rarely ever disappointed by Logitect products and this
is no exception.

I have been using this stand for over a week and I am very
happy with it. Having the flexibility of a wireless keyboard
on a cramped desk is a big plus. USB connects to computer with
built-in USB cable. Good height and flexible positioning.

Pros: USB hub works fine (fed from laptop) without plugging
in the power supply for the stand portion - I did not need this
but it may depend on your USB devices. No problem linking keyboard to base. Very solid design, very sturdy. Perfect
height. Decent keyboard feel.

Cons: Only one height adjustment (but OK), only 3 USB ports
available on base. Front lip blocks access to microphone
input on my Dell XPS M1210, but can be propped up on lip to
overcome this. Keyboard feel is good, but takes getting
used to. Resync button for keyboard to base is buried
in enclosed battery compartment.
