4 of 5 Good Product Thursday, November 29, 2007 Ron from Atlanta, GA
Doesn't work with certain, much older programs but I suspect that's the case with any USB headset. The unit works okay with voice recognition programs but still seems to let in a little too much background noise. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wow. Thursday, October 11, 2007 panterazero from El Cerrito CA
I just bought my second Logitech USB 250, which is the best headset I've ever had. I use it not only for Skype, but for voice recognition, and because it's USB, it has good bidirectionality, so I can dictate and listen to music at the same time. How cool is that?
besides that, it's comfortable no matter how long I wear it, it's rugged (a lot of headsets are made out of really cheap plastic, this one isn't,) and -- as a final inducement -- it's actually a little better than its big brother the 350. So you'll never say to yourself, ouch, I wish I'd spent the extra money. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Happ Skype upgrade Monday, March 26, 2007 Bryan from Seattle, WA
Great improvement over my previous mini-jack based headset. I use this headset with my Mac 12" PowerBook and it was easy plug-n-play and worked instantly with Skype. I had experienced choppy talk/connection quality with the headphone/microphone-jack based set I used previously and this headset eliminated all sound quality problems. I deducted one point each from performance and ease of use because I would prefer to have the mic boom on my left (this headset only allows the boom on the right) and the headband becomes a little uncomfortable after a while on long calls. I bought this because I put a new Creative Live 24-bit sound card that had only 1 input for both mic & line-in. Since my TV tuner card ate up that port, I was looking for a usb-based device that would allow me to keep both the line-in and mic at the same time. I initially considered buying the logitech 350 model, but there were a few who compared it to this model and ended up liking this one instead. It works great on my machine and it is amazing that you don't need drivers at all (just plug it in and THEN start the app) considering that there is actually a sound card built into the headset. Mainly use it for Skype. Music quality is certainly acceptable with only a moderate bass. May not satisfy perfectionist audiophiles though. Was this review helpful?

There were cheaper USB headphones but they were old style ones with two plugs and a usb adapter. The quality on these are great, Mac OS X Panther immediately recognized the headset. On the Ti Book, i need to go into the control panel to tell it to use the USB headset. On the G4 450 desktop it recognizes when the headset is plugged in. Also, this set includes two euros worth of Skype phone service. Was this review helpful?
