Rarely seen by human eyes, little people with tails and pointed ears live in the walls of houses and the tiny spaces of the world. These nearly human creatures are known as The Littles and they live much as we do, in tightly-knit loving families with the same cares, worries, and joys that we share. But being so tiny in so large a world brings many adventures and dangers to the Littles, for something as sweet and cuddly as a household cat is a real menace to them. Henry Bigg, a 12-year-old boy who has discovered the existence of the Littles, joins them in many of their adventures as the Littles live, unseen by everyone but Henry, in his home. They also travel to many far off places of the world meeting other Littles and having even more adventures.

This series focuses on one particular family, the Littles - Grandpa, Mom (Helen) and Dad (Frank), Dinky, and the two youngest children: Tom and Lucy. In their quest to become productive adults, the Littles and their full sized human friend Henry face the same kinds of problems that young children face every day - issues of friendship, jealousy, honesty, prejudice, consideration for others, kindness, responsibility, risk-taking...and more.

Editor's Note

Hidden in the walls of the Bigg house are a family of tiny people with tails--the Littles! These delightful and caring creatures keep their existence hidden from the human world, all except for young Henry Bigg. Based on the children's books by John Peterson, this early-1980s animated series follows the Little family--including world-wise Grandpa, parents Frank and Helen, kids Tom and Lucy, and know-it-all cousin Dinky--as they brave the dangers that loom large in the colossal human world, while also learning some important lessons. This collection features all 29 episodes of the complete series.

Old style animation but it still keeps both a 4 yr old and 6 yr old long enough to finish watching each episode. They can even remember and ask questions about the episode. 6 yr old starting to pick up on the moral of each story. Good teaching cartoon which doesn't rely on slapstick comedy or violence to be interesting.
