| | | The Wireless-N USB Network Adapter is the simple way to add wireless connectivity to your notebook or desktop computer. Just connect it to your PC's USB port and enjoy incredible high-speed wireless network access, at unheard-of distances distances.
The Wireless-N USB Network Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than standard Wireless-G.
With Wireless-N, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the throughput can be increased even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds up to 12 times as fast as standard Wireless-G.
Once you're connected, you can keep in touch with your e-mail, access the Internet, and share files and other resources such as printers and network storage with other computers on the network, wherever you wander. At home, you can surf the web or use instant messaging to chat with friends while sitting out on the patio. You'll also be able to connect with any of the growing number of public hotspots springing up in coffee shops, airport lounges, hotels and convention centers. Your wireless connection is protected by industrial-strength 256-bit encryption. The included Setup Wizard will walk you through configuring the adapter to your network's settings, step by step.
The incredible speed of Wireless-N makes it ideal for media-centric applications like streaming video, gaming, and Voice over IP telephony, and gives you plenty of headroom to run multiple media-intense data streams through the network at the same time, with no degradation in performance. Get connected to Wireless-N, Wireless-G, and Wireless-B networks with the Wireless-N USB Network Adapter from Linksys.

4 of 5 Fast Speeds for Wireless Wednesday, May 20, 2009 Joel from Lake Forest, CA
I think that overall, this wireless adapter is good. When it's connected, the speed compared to my old USB wireless adapter almost tripled. I did have some problems using the USB extension cables and base, which seemed strange to me. The adapter would connect and disconnect repeatedly until I plugged it straight in to the computer and then it worked fine. Also, and this could be my Linksys router, but the internet will stop working every once in a while on the wireless computer. The adapter will still be connected, but no internet (I will still have a wired internet connection on my other computer and my Vonage service still works). Usually I restart my router and it works again. Either way, for the price, the speed is great and a big upgrade to the wireless G adapter that I used to use. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Satisfied, Works Good Saturday, April 18, 2009 A Customer from brownsville, tx
products works fine but slower then the direct cable, could notice the difference but I guess that is normal being wireless. I'm satisfied with it though, no problems Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Fast shipping but... Wednesday, March 11, 2009 A Customer from Indianapolis, IN
Slight problem on the install; software kept showing signs of having a conflict with something on my machine. But once up and running, it works great. The only hardware issue was that the docking part of the product didn't work. But, other than that it is A-OK. A good little device Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good value Wednesday, February 18, 2009 David from Eagle Mountain
It looked new and works as advertised. It took my about 30 minutes to get the setup to work correctly but then worked well with my Linksys WRT350n router which is about 50' away. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Overall, pretty good--just a couple quirks Tuesday, February 17, 2009 A Customer from Millbrook, AL
Range and speed with Wireless N is excellent with this adapter. Setup was pretty easy with the supplied software as long as you follow the instructions in order, as with most adapter set-ups. Only issue is when coming out of standby or sleep mode on the computer the signal has been cut and there is a delay before it is automatically reconnected or you force it to do so. That has been annoying. Didn't have that with my former Wireless G PCI card. I'm going to try a Wireless N PCI card to see how that works and may save this as a back-up... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great! Very pleased! Thursday, February 12, 2009 happy wireless guy from Chapel Hill ,NC Go Heels - Beat Duke (again and
I just finished setting this up a few minutes ago - it was very easy. I have never set up a wireless network before and wasn’t sure if I would be able to figure it out. I did follow the directions and installed the CD first. It took a few minutes for the files to copy onto my 4 year old Dell Desktop computer (running Windows XP), then I plugged it into a USB port on the back of my machine when the installation wizard said to. It did not work at first :( I ran the diagnostic (very easy, just click the diagnostic button) and it said my driver was not functioning properly. It then asked if I wanted to repair it. I clicked the repair button and to my amazement after a minute or so the power light came on. I could then see about 8 of my neighbors' networks, but not mine :( I then changed the security setting on my new Netgear N wireless router to PSK2 (I may not have those letters quite right, but it was one level down from the strongest security level that the router had). Viola! I could see my router. I chose my router, entered in my password and I am now running at 300 Mbps with a signal strength of 70%. I have no idea why one of my neighbor's signals is coming in at 100%, but I don't care. This thing is lightning fast. Way better than the 54 Mbps I was running. In summary, this was very easy to install (I still can't believe the repair feature actually worked) and is a great value (I bought a refurbished one along with a refurbished Netgear N router 854T - very happy with that purchase also). I obviously can't comment on durability, etc. but so far so good! I also like the fact that it has rabbit ear style antennas that can be rotated 360 degrees. It also comes with a base if you choose to leave it on your desk. The base even has mounting holes if you want to mount it on the wall or ceiling. I am quite impressed with this little device. The date of manufacture says August 2007, so it isn't exactly the newest model, but it works just fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value, works as expected Thursday, January 15, 2009 Kip from Springfield, IL
If you have access on another computer, download the drivers from Linksys. The install disk did not work for me. DO NOT follow the instructions - plug the adapter into the computer first and then run the install software. Tried 3 times using the supplied disk and following Linksys instructions but the computer never recognized the adapter.
Tried one more time leaving the adapter plugged in and the install worked. Adapter is installed on a recertified HP running Vista.
Never a problem connecting. It finds the router/network everytime. Like the ability to move the adapter around for better reception. Was this review helpful?

I downloaded the latest version software and the device was not recognized. So, I uninstalled that software and finally used the disk supplied with the WUSB300N and everything worked perfectly. So, Use the disk supplied and you'll be happy. This was with XP. Was this review helpful?
