The Wireless-N WPC300N Notebook Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft IEEE 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area.

    This adapter worked very good for me. I had an internal g adapter that wasn't cutting it in my laptop, threw this thing in, updated the software on linksys.com, and got the benefit of the n wireless network. Thanks linksys, another strong product.

    The notebook adapter is easily installed and required no fiddling with settings. However it did require 2 subsequent telephone calls to CISCO support. My router settings had to be changed b/c of other devices on my wireless home netowrk.

    This card quit working after only 3 weeks of use. I contacted Linksys and went thru the test procedure and they agreed with me it is defective.
