5 of 5 Good product with reasonable price Saturday, February 09, 2008
    A Customer from Boston, MA

I setup this as soon as I got the product. Takes about 10 minutes or so. For the most part, it is quite easy. Just push the scroll key twice to switch. It is much better than using push botton. I use it on a Linux box and a XP machine - Not a problem! The only thing is that I am looking for something that would work with both USB and PS2 keyboard or mouse. This only works with PS/2. Hope they make something like that soon.

    5 of 5 solid performer Tuesday, July 31, 2007

I have no complaints with this KVM. I have another brand and I appreciate the fact this one can switch screen using only one keyboard key.

5 of 5 Works Great, But... Saturday, January 27, 2007
    Jim from Center Valley, PA
Product is great, with one exception which someone noted on using PS2 keyboard and USB mouse - I also had Microsoft adapter for mouse (male PS2 to female USB) and did not have much room to squeeze mouse with PS2/USB adapter connector in next to video connector... a little plastic trim work on the PS2/USB adapter with a Swiss Army knife, and a tie-wrap to secure adapter to video connector did the job. The product works great... very happy I got it !

5 of 5 Works great out of the box Friday, October 06, 2006
    A Customer from Dallas, TX
I got this for my dell computers. Setup was easy with no software installs and the built in 6 foot cables helped. No problems so far. The keyboard sequence to switch between computers function fast and reliably.

4 of 5 Great Product, but... Thursday, June 02, 2005
    Doug Schnelll from Watertown, SD
Linksys does it again! Great product with just a slight problem. If you are one that has a regular PS2 connector for your keyboard and mouse, this product would rate a 10/10. For me, I have a PS2 keyboard but a USB mouse. I have an adapter provided by Microsoft for the mouse so didn't think much about it until I went to hook it up. Once you get the keyboard and monitor hooked up, you are not left with much room to squeeze the third (mouse with PS2 adapter) connector in... It works flawlessly but would reconsider buying one with a wider unit to attach peripherals to in the future. Nice small design but that may cause problems for some of you.

    5 of 5 High performance, no-hassle switcher Monday, December 27, 2004
    cbach1997 from Brea, CA
Noticed no image quality degradation running SXGA @ 60Hz. Nice to finally not have two keyboars and mice and a VGA switcher. Powered from the keyboard port on computer #1, so no DC adapter either!

5 of 5 Simple, Quick, Small, Easy, Awesome Wednesday, September 08, 2004
A Customer from Fort Wayne, IN
This KVM is a winner. It is REALLY small, and with the hot-key action it can simply float behind my desk unseen. My setup is a desktop computer and a laptop, that I now share just one keyboard/monitor/mouse for. I loved that there was no software needed to install it. One thing I needed was a USB to PS2 mouse port converter, since it does not have USB on it. $4 later and I'm all set. I highly recommend this product, especially considering the price.

2 of 5 Does NOT work with multimedia keyboards Tuesday, December 02, 2003
    A Customer from Eagle, NE
Great product, good price. Video signal suffered no degradation. However, my Logitech multimedia keyboard and Microsoft Intellimouse do not work properly. The extra buttons are not recognized. Linksys tech support states there is no workaround and this kvm is only meant to work with standard keyboards and mice. If you have a multimedia keyboard and mouse with extra buttons, steer away from this kvm!

5 of 5 Great if you don't have much space Friday, October 24, 2003
    Frost from Brookly, NY
I was looking to some device that would help me deal with multiple computers and share mouse and keboard since I don't have much room space to hold up two full moitors or a another computer desk, I was reading reviews in several websites and found the linksys model has better review of the IOgear model, and its basically the same price. I bought it and it works great, and found no problems, no bugs at all, I have used it for 3 weeks now works great. Highly recommended if you don't want to buy another monitor or trying to conserve room space.

5 of 5 works very well - impressive quality Sunday, August 17, 2003
    tkn-at-alumni.uwaterloo.ca from Toronto, Ontario
As with the above reviewers, I am very impressed with this product. It works as advertised and provides excellent value. I am extremely picky about video quality as I spend a lot of time in front of the computer. I use high resolution Samsung monitors with 0.20mm dot pitch and my previous experience with other KVMs has been poor, showing much ghosting, fuzziness, and flickering. This product however shows no ghosting or fuzziness at at 1024x760 at 85 Hz and initially I detected almost unnoticeable flicker, compared with the rock steady Samsung tubes, but after a couple of minutes I couldn't tell the difference. I'd go so far as to say this product's image quality is equivalent to that of expensive, commercial KVMs I've seen that come with very expensive shielded cables. Kudos to Linksys!

    5 of 5 Doesn't get any better Wednesday, July 09, 2003
    master from Phoenix
Perfection. scroll lock tap to toggle screens, left shift + right shift to automatically toggle every (customizable) seconds. no software. switches between my 2 servers perfectly, i didn't even have to restart them! Inexpensive, not cheaply made, and small. How does it get any better?

    5 of 5 works perfectly Thursday, June 12, 2003
    A Customer from Plano, TX
What a deal! At less than $40, this little KVM switch is as nice as ones costing twice as much. I'm quite sensitive to poor quality video displays, and I noticed *no* difference at all with my display running through this device (caveat: my monitor is a 15" LCD at 1024x768 and a 60 Hz refresh rate. those with higher resolutions & refresh rates on CRT monitors may have results that differ). Everything on this works as advertised. Recommended.

    5 of 5 Great buy. Tuesday, May 20, 2003
    Charlie from Port Tobacco, MD
You can't beat it for the price and quality. It's a great item if you want to hook up two computers. It works as advertised. One note, if you happen to be too fast with your fingers (one example, switching computers while printing) and it locks up to one computer, just press the ESC key and everything is back to normal. All I can say, it's a winner.

    5 of 5 what a space saver Thursday, March 20, 2003
A Customer from Sierra Vista, AZ
I recently got onto a cable modem service and needed to run two computers at once, but not access them simultanously. This KVM works wonders and using the Scroll Lock key to switch between them prevents accidently accessing the wrong computer while typing.

5 of 5 Works Great!!! Had No Problems Wednesday, January 22, 2003
    Shawn Hager from Mechanicsburg, PA
This item works great and has 1920 X 1440 resolution. Installed within 2 minutes and had both my server and workstation up and running after reboot(even though not required). I would suggest this item if you think that you are only going to have 2 computers running at once. If you feel like you are going to have more than 2 computers(or possibly in the future have more), I would looking into a real KVM switch. This was a quick and painless solution to my small problem...Little money and needed KVM switch. I would recommend it. As simple as tapping the Scroll Lock twice to switch between computers.

5 of 5 another winner from Linksys Tuesday, January 14, 2003
    A Customer from Keasbey, NJ
This is another winning product from Linksys. I bought it to share my monitor, keyboard and mouse between my two PCs. My current KVM switch (a manual monstrosity with a plethora of cables) did not live up to my expectations. Each time I switched the KVM, one of my PCs (with Win 98) would complain that the keyboard and mouse were disconnected, and then proceed to freeze! I also had ghosts on my monitor because of the inferior cables supplied with the unit. But the with Linksys, there are no ghosts, switching between PCs is very simple (double-press scroll lock), and my Win 98 machine does not complain about disconnected keyboards and mice anymore. There are also advanced options like automatic scan (KVM switches between two PCs automatically, and the interval is adustable). My full marks go to this Linksys 2 port KVM kit.
