My kids asked for the xbox 360 wireless adaptor which was priced locally at $99.95 plus tax. In fact, my son's friend purchased one and they had trouble getting it to work, plus the quality was dubious. Instead, I purchased this Linksys device from Buy.com for $65.95 The set up was fairly easy if you use the disc that comes with it. The converter works great and the buy.com shipping is really, really fast. The price could not be beat. There you have it, price, quality product and fast shipping. Buy.com rocks.

I thought this would be a breeze to setup since I am using a Linksys router for my wireless network. Using WPA security, I tried everyting I could think of to get this to work to no avail. I finally switched my network to WEP and then it was a snap. The option to use WPA is there when you are setting up the Game Adapter, so I'm not sure why it doesn't work. I was a little disappointed with this, and frustrated. Also, it is easer to set up the adapter by logging into it (192.168.1.250) then by using the setup CD that comes with it. Once you get it working, it works great! I'm using mine to connect my DirectTv to the internet.

I was able to set this up within about 30 minutes of getting it in the mail and I'm no computer whiz. I've had it for a few months and I haven't had any problems at all. I use it to connect my DirecTV DVR to my wireless network and it works fine.

worked right out of the box. used this to connect xbox 360 located in my basement to the wireless router on the upper level. worked great at a distance of about 60 ft with floor and walls blocking the signals. really impressive.

This is a very good Ethernet bridge/gamming adapter at a fantastic price on Buy.com with free fast shipping! You won’t find a better deal anywhere for $69.99 to your door! My item shipped out in one day and arrived at my doorstep with in a couple of days via Fed-Ex ground and not snail mail!! After I received it setup was a breeze and was completed in about 8 minutes. The Linksys WGA54g integrated flawlessly with my current USR wireless router. I'm not using this product for gaming but as a wireless access point to get DirecTV On-Demand access with my HD-Dvr, and it works great! The unit it self has a pretty large antenna which allows me to connect at 54.0 mbs in “g" most of the time. Although I don't use it for gamming the neat thing about this Ethernet Bridge/gaming adapter is that it's just as simple to set up and once it is set up you are done. Even with just simply using the included cd-rom for setup it pretty much configures everything to run optimally so you really won’t have to go into the main setup menu to tweak anything unless you have connection issues or a more advanced network. Another good feature I like is the Linksys 24hr tech support that I only had to call once to find out how to get in to the main setup menu. Other than that anyone from a 10yr. old toa savy 65yr. old should be able to do it. Also, for people who want to game with another console in another room you can buy 2 and have head to head wireless gaming @ the flip of a switch, or it can also be used to stream media wirelessly form a pc/media server to a 2nd Linksys WGA54 in another room connected to anything with a built in Ethernet card like an a/v receiver, HT surround processor, Blu-ray player, or a high-end plasma display like my Elite. All in all the Linksys WGA54g wireless gaming adapter is an awesome reliable product and a splendid solution for your wireless network needs.

I'm using this connected to a SlingPlayer AV which is located as far away from the wireless router as possible in my home without going outside. I have not seen the issues (weak signal and signal loss) that I have seen with other wireless devices located in the same area. The adapter was easy to set up and is working great.

I use this adapter in combination with my Slingbox so I really test its ability to move streaming video from one point to another. It does so near flawlessly. In the four weeks I've had it in service, I've had to cycle its power twice to restore its connectivity, but that could be due to my broadband dropping out or other issues. As far as I'm concerned, it works as advertised and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Very easy to set up... just put in the cd it comes with and enter your network information. I hooked mine up to a PS3 and it works great.

This unit is an ethernet bridge and will work with any ethernet device to make it wireless not just game machines. I learned this when configuring it with my laptop through the wired connection and was able to see everything on my home network and surf with the device. I am using it with both my PS2 and Xbox 360 at the same time using a network switch. You can use it with any PC or other ethernet device so don't think that this unit is just limited to game boxes. I can stream video in standard definition fine from my media center PC to the Xbox 360. HD video stream works fine as well in my house using "G" but we a rural and if you are near other homes you may have trouble streaming HD depending on 2.4Ghz traffic in your neighborhood so find this unit that has "A" and use an "A" router. Don't buy the xbox 360 wireless dongle piece of crap. This unit is much more versatile especialy if you plan to run more than on game machine like a ps2 and a xbox 360 in the same location like I am.
