Through the browser interface, you can also scan for and view wireless access points, bridges and routers. It even has a signal signal strength meter for antenna adjustments. There is a two position switch (X-II) so that the bridge can be setup through a hub (II) or a direct connection to an ethernet card (X). Another great feature is that the device can be used with the optional Part Number WAPPOE - Linksys Power Over Ethernet (PoE)injector to provide power in a remote location. Overall, a good 11 Mbps bridge but not as easy to set up as a Netgear wireless bridge. I wanted to get the Netgear ME101 but at the time they were sold out everywhere.

This is one of Linksys best products. A bridge like the WET11 is a stand-alone devise with all the programming inside. No software utility is needed on your computer, which minimizes conflicts and frees up memory. After a very easy setup, they can be moved from computer to computer if needed. It’s just like plugging into the network. Much more powerful and trouble free then USB wireless devises. It has its own power supply. You can even hook it to a Linksys Switch to let many computers surf the net from this devise. I own many and really pleased. If you primary surf the net, there is no need to get the “G” version unless you transfer large files from computer to computer. The “B” offers more speed than the Internet can provide anyhow. Most USB wireless clients are like toys, this Bridge is well built and solid. Its best used for a Desktop computer. It’s to bulky for laptops unless you don’t move around much J!

Five minutes after opening the box, I had the wireless bridge configured and up on the network. I plugged it into my Solaris workstation and away it went! FAST doesn't do it justice.

I have owned this bridge for over one year <br> the initial setup requires windows <br> after that, jump in the bridge's ip to do further setup (if you have connected a router, you can find the ip through the connected device) <br> it has very good reception, though it claimed no-so-special spec <br> I use it to hook a hub to router without running long wire <br> though it's class b, it's good enough for internet <br> if you need a wireless for your game console, computer with hard wire port, or just uplink a hub without running long wire, get this one

This product has more output power than the USB version. If your looking for range, this is the best choice. You can use a network cable to allow the optimum position for performace. This is truly a great product.

I bought a couple of these last Christmas. My son wanted access to the network but was upstairs and diagonal from the main PC. It would have meant running over 200 feet of CAT5 wire (under the house, up a wall and through an upstairs attic - MAJOR hassle). Decided to try a pair of WET11's with my BEFSR41 and have not regretted it. Our house backs up to some power lines that affects TV and AM radio reception. I was sceptical about the WET11 solution, but they work like a charm. I'm going to buy another one for the PS2 in the den.

This thing is great! It took me no time at all to have my Playstation 2 up and I was connected to a SOCOM server! I wanted it just for the purpose of setting up my PS2 for gaming but after I got it I realized that with just a hub my (soon comming) Xbox and pc will join right in on the bandwidth. The hardest part was deciding where to put it. It's tiny too, about an inch tall and roughly 3*3(excluding the antenna which is about 4" maybe 5") The software was a snap and my router absolutly loved it. I have had my wireless nightmares before but this thing was a godsend! Let's just see if linksys can make good on it's 1 year warrenty on it's pci card and I will never falter from them again! If you were thinking about it for anything like my applications and just weren't too sure about it do it! It's about 60' across and up from the router and I could swear that I was hardwired!
