5 of 5 Great Product.. Easy Installation Monday, February 16, 2009
A Customer from Rutherford, NJ

I am a tech person, and being that I had an adapter similar to this, I needed a suitable replacement. I purchased this product, and I set up right out of the box. I did not need to run the CD, because I knew how to set it up. Once it was configured, it ran smoothly. I primarily use it for Xbox 360 gaming, and it runs very well with games and the Xbox Live content. Even streaming movies on Netflix was great quality. I definitely recommend this product.

5 of 5 Fine adapter for ANY wireless needs Monday, January 19, 2009
A Customer from Austin, TX
Unwilling to fill Microsoft's coffers by purchasing their dedicated wireless adapter for an XBox 360, I discovered this adapter. I was drawn in by the draft N capability and by a lower price. I was able use the provided software to quickly and automatically configure the adapter for use with my Linksys WRT-610 router. After moving it downstairs and connecting it to the XBox, it quickly found a signal and allowed for updates and XBox Live interactivity. Several weeks later, the connection remains fast and solid. I should note that the adapter has a single ethernet output. I also purchased a Linksys EtherFast EZXS55W switch in conjunction with this adapter. The adapter-switch combination easily supports the XBox, a wireless weather gateway, a BluRay player (including BDLive connectivity), and a HD-DVD player. All functions continue to operate flawlessly. Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with this combination. In fact, I purchased a duplicate set-up in order to provide Internet connectivity for another BluRay player and an Internet-enabled television in the master bedroom. I highly recommend this adapter along with the switch if additional connectivity is needed.

5 of 5 Recommended by DirecTV Thursday, January 15, 2009
Bob from Arizona
Plug & Play with my HD DVR as described on DirecTV's site. This wireless gaming adapter works exactly as promised and performance is actually better than expected due to the distance between my access point and the receiver. (my only disappointment is the dismal availability for VOD, but maybe that will improve - I'm ready!)

4 of 5 Works great with Directv On Demand Wednesday, January 14, 2009
J. Brown from Marlton, NJ
Let me begin by clarrifying that it works great with Directv if you have the correct router. I had an old wireless B router at first and it was a no go. I tried everything, although I am no expert by any stretch. I gave up and went out and bought a wireless N router and all was right with the world. The download time could be better but it could be the distance I have between the router and the adapter. I originally tried it with the B router because I was given the impression the adapter was backwards compatible. By the way, I used a Linksys wireless N router. It looks better and works better.

5 of 5 Great Product easy to use! Monday, January 05, 2009
A Customer from Jacobus PA
I bought this gaming adapter for my Direct TV HD DVR to get on demand items. It was very simple to interface with my WEP encrypted wireless network. The direct tv reciever recognized it as soon as I pluged it into the port on the reciever. I then followed the instructions on my screen and Voila! I was hooked in in seconds. Great product at a great price from Buy.com!

5 of 5 Great Little Unit... Saturday, January 03, 2009
Rodney from Ventura, CA
I am not using this device as a game adapter but rather to bridge 2 wireless networks. This device is connected into the WAN port of my Apple Time Capsule and bridges it with my Linksys router in another part of my house. Setup is easy. One thing that the documentation doesn't mention is that the MAC address of this unit will be that of the host device. The MAC address printed on the label of this unit it actually that of the wired enet port, not the wireless radio. This is only important is you do MAC address filtering. I would purchase this unit again but would think this device would be more appropriately priced in the $40-$50 range.

5 of 5 Works as expected Saturday, January 03, 2009
Patrick from Chicago, IL
If you're looking to get your DirecTV receiver connected to the internet, this device will work just fine. It's the same device that they will send you in the DirecTV wireless kit, but it's cheaper to buy online. Setup was simple even though my wireless network is different than the default 192.168.1.0. I had this set up in less than 5 minutes, I was connecting to a Linksys WRT54G router.

5 of 5 Great device Sunday, December 28, 2008
Will from Louisville, KY
This device works as expected and is a cheaper alternative to Microsoft's wireless adapter with faster speeds (Wireless Draft N). It is slightly more difficult to setup than the Microsoft device, but has been working effortlessly ever since initial setup. Be sure to follow instructions exactly (insert the CD first in your computer) and you will be gaming wirelessly in no time!

5 of 5 Excellent Buy Thursday, December 18, 2008
Mike from Chattanooga, TN
The device is excellent. Eric is right...it works great with Direct TV. I got a great deal, but I had to really hunt for it. When I googled the item, Buy.com offered it for $74.99 with a $30 discount if you applied for a Chase Visa card. That brought it down to $44.99. However, I did not make a decision immediately and searched the web for other prices. When I went back to Buy.com, the item came up for $84.99 with no discount. I had to search on Buy.com's website for the item at 74.99. I eventually got it, but it was work. I don't know why they advertise with 2 different prices. Oh well...I got a good product at a good price.

5 of 5 Great Wireless-N gaming adapter! Monday, December 08, 2008
Mr. Mike from seattle, wa
This Wireless-N to Ethernet bridge is great. Once I passed through the initial setup with my laptop, my Xbox 360 was able to recognize and configure it via UPnP. After I finally got my router configured to run properly in Wireless-N mode, streaming HD-WMV media from my PC worked flawlessly. Before, with my Wireless-G adapter, even a low-res AVI took a couple of minutes to buffer and start playing. My lag time went down as well - multiplayer is great.

5 of 5 Works great with DirecTV DVR Saturday, November 29, 2008
Eric from Portland, OR
This is the third device I've purchased while attempting to get my DirecTV DVR online and I must admit this ones works fantastically. I did the initial setup through via ethernet (192.168.1.250), added the wireless connection and then plugged it into the DVR. It was literally a 10 minute process. The speed and connection is acceptable and I'm very pleased so far!

5 of 5 The Linksys WGA600N Cures My 360 Problems Monday, November 24, 2008
Paul Meehan from Oxnard CA
I've always had problems with the network aspects of my Xbox 360. I previously used an 802.11G standard router and the official 360 gaming adapter. My connection was always the slowest of the people I played with. My would connection and have lag problems. Not entirely sure why. All my computer connections and Tivo conections worked well enough. So in frustration I upgraded to a Linksys WRT160N router and the WGA600N addapter. I haven't looked back since. It was super easy to install and configure and works great. One issue was that I could not get the "Protected Setup" buttons to work. They would flash blue and then be solid blue but would never connect. I had to configure the setup manually. Once done it worked great. I'm very happy.

5 of 5 Easy setup and works great Friday, November 07, 2008
A Customer from Tonto Basin, AZ
I acutally used this to hook up to my DirectTV DVR for the On Demand feature. I configured it with my laptop then plugged it into the DVR. It instantly recognized it and I haven't had to touch it since. I would recommend it to anyone needing wireless internet for a DVR or gaming system.

4 of 5 Good For Linux Wireless Thursday, May 22, 2008
Robert from Stillwater, OK
Although the name of the device suggests it is for game systems only - I actually purchased it to connect my Ubuntu Linux PC to my wireless internet. Support for wireless devices in Linux is still far from perfect, and there were no drivers for my device using ndiswrapper. Using the WGA600N as a wireless bridge removes the need for these drivers in linux. Highly recommended if you are looking for such a solution.

4 of 5 Also a Wireless-to-Wired Connection! Monday, March 17, 2008
A Customer from Glendale, CA
Actually I bought this as a wireless connection to link an HD DVR with an RJ-45 jack to a home network as opposed to the "game" orientation in the name. Overall I am pleased with the performance and I can access music, videos and pictures on my network from the HD DVR -- kind-of slick! The set-up was a bit tricky. I use a Linksys wireless router but have changed the default IP address, thus requiring a change in the IP address on the game adapter - however it appears to require both the configuring machine and adapter to be on the same subnet so you lose connection during default set-up. No worries - just reset your computer's IP and you can access the game adapter setup via http. Once that wrinkle was done and security configured it works fine.
