Purchased to use with a Linksys WRT610N router over the 5ghz media band to get DirecTV On Demand to an HR22 PVR.
Connection to the 610N router through Windows XP Pro was done easily with no problems.
The bridge is 35-40 feet from the router (with a wall in- between). Monitoring the device shows that it is only getting 35% signal strength. Don't know if that is good or bad or if the presumed low value is due to the router or bridge, but it does work well regardless. The On Demand video streams immediately and seamlessly with no lag time. It does exactly what I wanted it to do so I am very happy with the setup.

5 of 5 Works fine, but... Saturday, April 11, 2009 A Customer from Carlsbad, CA
This wireless bridge works fine, but the installation program would not run with 64-bit Vista (as advertised by Linksys). Installation ran fine with Windows XP. And a Vista computer will not reconnect with it after resuming from "sleep" mode. See Microsoft article ID 956119; it is a Vista problem, not a fault with Linksys. Was this review helpful?

We needed the device to connect our Sony TV to the internet because we didn't want to move our cable box downstairs. We initially tried a powerline ethernet adaptor but were dissatisfied with the speed.
We have a new LinkSys router but it did not want to recognize the WET610N bridge. LinkSys support answered promptly and was extremely patient and helpful. I wound up being transfered to advance support and they not only modified the settings on our Bridge but even helped me modify the settings on the TV.
I can't say the set up was easy, but tech support was excellent and once set up the bridge is working beautifully and the TV receives and displays movies with no need to pause to keep up. Was this review helpful?

I have it setup to receive wireless signal and connected to a switch for multiple devices to use. The setup was easy and performance is more then fast enough for basic home use. Further I have yet to experience any periods of slow network performance or loss of signal. If you are looking for an easy, cheap way to get internet to a portion of the house that is far away from the modem/router, this is the way to go. Was this review helpful?
