the modem installed relatively easy with the help of my isp. performance is superior to my leased surfboard. would suggest this product to others, works well with my linksys router after allowing the configuration to sync up. well worth the low buy.com price. Was this review helpful?

I was looking for an alternative to the Netgear wireless cable modem that was provided by Mediacom and bought this unit due to the exceptional experience I've had with other Linksys products.
Prior to getting this modem I was only achieving about 7Mbs. Once I received it I removed my old modem, plugged this one in, and it sync'd right away. I added my Linksys wireless router and I was up and runnning in no time.
Most surprising was the speed increase it achieved. As I said before I was only getting around 7Mbs, running the same speed test after installing this modem I was getting 11-15Mbs!
