As previous reviewers have stated, the built-in fan does make some noise but it is certainly tolerable. The fan noise is only really noticeable if you don't give the power supply ample room to breath so the fan has to run at higher speeds to cool it. Was this review helpful?

I don't recall the specs saying that this thing has a fan built into it. I'm returning this item. It won't work in a quiet environment. (about as loud as the loudest laptop you've heard in the last 5 years.)
I only used it on 1 laptop HP dv9000 - the including tip works , but doesn't fit well. Was this review helpful?
