I use this charger to keep other 1 and 2+ year old batteries working. It has a sensor for defective or mismatched batteries--it will flash both red and green LEDs if there's a problem.
Because of the sensor it will switch to trickle charge when the batteries are full. Sometimes I don't have to wait 2 hours when the light switches from red to green.
Unfortunately, it's hard to remove batteries from the middle slots. Was this review helpful?

I purchased these as back up batteries, the charger comes with 4 AA batteries which I did not know,the charging unit itself is one of the smallest one I have ever seen of any comparable size and capacity.So if your someone that likes compact devices,this is the one for you. I also own 2 other brands of batteries and chargers and this is the smallest unit of the 3.Although the Rayovac charger and batts. are 15 min charge, my other charger and batts. Digital concepts are also 2 hrs. I have not used the batt. yet, but as always buy.com had them to me very quickly. Was this review helpful?
