| | | LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues combines the fun and creative construction of LEGO bricks with the wits, daring and non-stop action of one of cinema's most beloved adventure heroes. With a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on all the Indiana Jones films -- including for the first time ever Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- LEGO Indiana Jones 2 follows Dr. Jones' escapades from the jungles of South America to the Peruvian Ruins and beyond. Fans can experience the most authentic LEGO experience yet by designing and building their own levels brick by brick, and by fusing their levels with the ones in the game to create a custom experience. In LEGO Indiana Jones 2, everyone can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments -- or create their own. "All in all, it's amazing the amount of content that's packed into this game -- this is more than a sequel, even while including a redux of the first game's three movies." Alice Liang, 1UP.com "...this is the Lego Indiana Jones game you will definitely want to buy." Angelina Sandoval, GameZone.com "Hours of fun and worth a go even if you own the original." Dan Pearson , WonderwallWeb.com

| | Professional Reviews | GameSpot.com 9 of 10 Unlike the previous game in which only the original trilogy was covered, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues encompasses all four movies in the Indiana Jones tetralogy. The focus is placed on The Crystal Skull, on which half of the game is based, but don't let the uneven reception to Indy's latest film taint your view of this game. The Crystal Skull-themed levels succeed where the movie failed, taking full advantage of the roll-your-eyes nature of the film to create a silly experience that doesn't have any problem taking shots at the source material. There are three acts based on the movie that introduced the world to the crazy concept of using a refrigerator as a one-person bomb shelter, whereas the other three movies have just one act each. However, the top-notch quality exists across the board, and the all-new adventures constructed around the original trilogy are deeper and more varied than those offered in the original game...There is a lot of content packed into this package. It will take quite a few hours to play through all four movies, and once you complete them all, it's worth going back to solve the puzzles that stumped you the first time around to pick up the many items you missed or simply couldn't afford. And when you finish with the developer-made content, you can build you own epic adventure from scratch. Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is the proper way to remake an already-entertaining product. Even the cooperative aspect has been improved by allowing players to wander off alone. This splits the screen in two and the halves expand and rotate depending on where you're standing and what tasks need to be accomplished. By building and expanding upon the elements that made the original so darn fun, the second Indy adventure is better in every way. This is a great adventure whether you're a returning veteran to the Lego franchise or are looking to grab a Lego whip for the first time. - Tom Mc Shea IGN.com 7 of 10 When we first heard about the original LEGO Star Wars game, we were taken aback by the very unique idea and wondered if it would actually wind up being a fun experience. It turns out that it was indeed great fun, and subsequent releases only improved on the formula by offering more content, more unlockables and simply an overall bigger experience. Now, after the release of three Star Wars takes, a Batman title and one Indiana Jones game, things have started to get a little stale, and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues doesn't help. It does offer some tweaks to the formula, but unfortunately, none of them are for the better...The single, overarching hub world of LEGO games past is gone, instead replaced by one hub area for each major film chapter (one each for the original three films, and one for each of the three major chapters in the latest film). Each hub contains all of the hidden bricks that you used to collect in levels and stashed inside of plants, fire hydrants or something else of this sort. Once you collect 10 of the same-colored bricks, a bonus will be flown in that you can purchase. Characters are no longer purchased from a store, where you now have to fight off a number of each enemy first and then buy them right in the stage. For the characters, this isn't bad, but not being able to run through levels multiple times, utilize newly purchased characters to find new bricks and build up your inventory is something that I missed here...LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues does try to do a few new things, but Traveller's Tales messed with the wrong stuff and essentially broke a solid, if aging, formula. The lack of secrets in the main levels is a mistake, the new hub worlds are confusing and the level editor is just short of being pointless. If you haven't already played it, the original LEGO Indiana Jones is a much better purchase. - Chris Roper
