Learn to Write Pencil Box

I am not sure if I want to keep this product because I saw one at a store and it's the same thing and it's in better condition. So I am not sure what to do. The one that you have sent me looks used and all beat up. Sincerely, karen

First thing, the pencil is not secured with a long enough string, i had to attach a longer one. I got this for my 9yr. Old son that may have dyslexia, after confering with his slp. She thought it might help him, with writing his letters correctly. When i opened the package i thought oh no it looks to young for him so i ordered the 81 piece magnetic set also. He is playing with the pencil box and seems like he enjoys it. My 2 younger daughters (ages 7 and 41/2) also love it. I hope it lasts a long time.

I have seen the ones similar to this in local stores and I am glad I purchased this instead. The ones in the store are so big and bulky, this fits on my child's lap very well. It is small enough for them to carry.

The only downside is the string for the pen is too short which makes it difficult to keep up with it. Also, you can't really turn the sound off. I wish it had headphones!

This was for my 4 year old grandson and he loves it. He calls it his computer and everytime I talk with him he tells me what he does on his computer. My son says that it is a great toy.

My grandson is in kindergarten and is behind with letters and handwriting. He hasn't taken to other things, like Leapster. He hasn't stopped playing with this for 3 days and has to be forced to put it down to get dressed. It is at his level. He knows half the alpabet. One thing he likes is that it will say a short word like cat, which will then show up on the writing area with the middle letter missing, to be filled in. Great toy.

This item is not what I thought it would be. For the cost, I thought it was going to be more high tech. There are other products that are similar. My 4-year old son has played with this, but I'm not sure how long it will keep his interest.

The 4 yr old loved it and played for a long time. His 6 yr old brother then also played with it for a long time, but used other features that were above the 4 yr old's level.

My 6 year old is in kindergarten, he's not much into homework. He views this as homework, and dosn't use it much. My 4 yr old on the other hand loves it, but only because it makes noise.

this game has a lot to offer, however, my 4-year-old son is just not that interested in wanting to learn the letters and numbers. the pen string is very, very short. i had to add length to it in order for it to work properly. i would say it is overpriced for what it does. hopefully he will like it when he gets a little older.

my son loved it. uses it when there is a lot of idle time. enjoys writing letters, numbers and his name and then watching it disappear.

Easy to use and entertaining for my 4 year old. A great learning tool for preschoolers and kindergarten. The ribbon attaching the pencil is a little short but over all a good product.

This product is great for ages 3 to 6. It is easy to carry, compact, and easy for the kids to learn how to play. My 4 yr old grandson is just now learning his letters. He likes the way it shows him how to draw them. This is also a great learning toy for the car. Fits perfect in their lap. Great buy!!!! Also this website had the lowest price I could find online with the lowest shipping.

I think that this product is good for 4-6 year olds. I like that my daughter can erase what she writes and isn't using up all the paper in the house.

This product is good because it teaches the letters, words, the alphabet & so much more!! It even teaches them how to draw! My 3yr old loves it. It keeps her occupied when I'm busy doing other things. Only thing is, the string is no longer attached to the pen. But that's even better because she can hold the pen however she wants! I recommend this for 2+yrs.

i would say for ages 18m-2yr. the product reads preschool. these days, kids are already pretty advanced at 4yrs old. this toy did not hold her interest.

Easy to use however, my grandson is still just a little young for it, but he enjoys using it as he thinks it is his computer. The stylus connection needs to be improved.

The item is well made, I just got one with a flaw... the screen does not completely display letters like a,o,p,q, etc. Other than that it's a good product.

My twins in Pre-School. This is a great toy and they love playing with it. Best thing about it is- it shows the kids HOW to actually write the numbers and letters in steps that they practice on the doodle pad. Worst thing about it is- the pen is not attached and easily get lost. Solved this by attaching pen to toy's handle with length of ribbon. Would recommend this one to any parent who wants to give their kids a bit of a head-start to kindergarten. Price is right for what it does.

I had expected a tracing component, which would have helped in small motor development. It would aslo have made the item more of an independant activity rather than requiring a lot of parental help.

3 yrs. its good for its multiple activity and that when done playing the can close it and carry it along .im lookin for a replacement for the magnetic pad where can i get it from ours has awhole in it please reply

his product is excellent for pre-schoolers and older children. There is nothing bad that you can say about this toy , actually, its one of the best investments I've made so far into his educational background. Keeps him busy for a while and helps him to spell, remember words, write letters and numbers. I've never seen him so excited about a learning toy as he does this one. He even cracks up laughing by the noise it makes when you get the answer wrong. Go figure. If you are into giving your child a headstart in school, this product is definitely perfect.!!!

This is a great learning tool. The pencil doesn't write as clear on the writing pad as I would like, but otherwise it's great. My son really enjoys it.

Both my 4 year-old and his 2 1/2 year-old brother love this toy. They take turns using it, though it's the 4 year old that can use it to its fullest and practice writing letters. The only thing it lacks is the ability to tell the child whether they've written the letter correctly or not. But, that's where parents come in, I guess!
