The Tag Reader is a touch-and-talk reading device that brings stories to life and offers insights into what your child is learning. As your little one touches the Tag Reader to the pages of specially printed storybooks a small camera in the tip reads the pages allowing children to hear words and stories read aloud. Characters pictures and learning activities spring to life with every touch.

Designed for kids four to eight the Tag Reading System works with a broad library of more than 20 books and games. Children can explore classic books or join popular characters in new adventures. Leveled learning activities in every book adjust automatically to your childs pace helping build confidence and a love for reading.

The Tag Reader holds audio for up to five books at a time. Simply connect it to your computer with the included USB cable download audio for your Tag books and drag-and-drop up to five of your childrens favorite stories. While online you can see your childs progress in recent books get detailed updates on the skills they are exploring and share in their accomplishments.

My mom bought this for my 4 year old's birthday, but it is my 2 year old that REALLY loves it. She uses it EVERY DAY. If we go anywhere for an extended time we bring it. At first she just used the pen to make all the pictures talk, but now (6 months later) she likes to make the pen read the whole page first. We have about 7 Tag books and rotate them, I wish the pen had more storage on it! You can store about 5 books at a time. We replace the batteries every 2 or 3 weeks since it gets daily use. My 4 year old will sit with the 2 year old and ask her to touch certain objects and occasionally my 4 year old will grab the books on her own to "read." If you have a child that is constantly flipping through books or trying to get you to read books to him/her, then this will keep them very happy for long periods of time. If your child doesn't have a ton of interest in books, then they probably won't be AS entertained, but will still enjoy it occasionally. The books are made with very nice quality paper. The pen has been dropped many times, but has no problems functioning. You can adjust the volume. We also have the carrying case made for it. My two year old can't open it on her own, but she likes to carry it around.

I bought this for my 3 year old grand daughter and she loves it, her parents are already ordering her more books to use with it. My daughter tells me that her 18 month old brother also likes to play with it because even the parts of the pictures entertain and teach the kids not just the words.

User friendly for all ages, books and stories for ages past 8 and has kept my grandchildren smiling for hours! They can use Tag by themselves or with Adults for more serious learning. Seems expensive for the intial set-up, but as for now I see the costs as minimal to other books and teaching aids! Will last for years and the costs of other learning books is cheap compared to a coloring book! Hopefully the product line will last for a few years so other stories and product attachments can be bought and not be abandoned like other products!
