1 of 5 Warning: Can damage valuable electronics Friday, June 05, 2009

Do not plug anything valuable into this item. Use it only for toasters and your least expensive electronic items, such as $49 DVD players. The very first time I used the Smart Strip it caused my $1,490 Sanyo PLV-Z3 high-definition projector to be damaged, when the Smart Strip caused the projector to shut off abruptly for no reason, damaging one of the projector's cooling fans. The repair will run in the hundreds of dollars. I guess I can be thankful it didn't ruin my computer's motherboard or hard-drive, as well. PLEASE DO NOT PLUG VALUABLE EQUIPMENT INTO THIS THING!
