I have used this fan for at least 6 years at home. It is attached to a second floor window and attached to an X-10 wireless remote. With windows open on the first floor and the fan set to exhaust on the second, it performs extremely well. I can open and close the window it is attached to without removing the fan because it is quick mounted to the window frame. The fan is quiet considering it serves as a whole house fan. This is your most economical option, using a fan, to cool an entire house. I have 25+ years experience in facilities management, at this price point, you can not do better. Period. I have two of these fans. I put one upstairs in my son's bedroom blowing out and one downstairs blowing in. It dropped the temp in his room several degrees. I have had the first one for onver a year and it still runs great. It paid for itself by not having to run the A/C unit at night. Was this review helpful?

This fan is not what I was expecting! It's much bigger than it looks. Also, unlike my previous window fan, it won't just "sit" in the window and be held in place with the upper sash. It has to be screwed into the window frame. And, it's a little noisy. Aside from that, it's a great fan. The motor is powerful and the blades are big enough to move a lot of cool night air into the house. Overall, I'm happy with the fan Was this review helpful?
