I bought this as a primary backup for laptop. I set it up as RAID 1 and it has worked very well. The drives are removable and replaceable, unlike some earlier LaCie drives I have had. I found an error in the manual that says the rear LEDs light blue when the drives are working properly. After some time with very helpful LaCie tech support, it was determined that the rear LEDs only light red when a drive is failing. Despite this little issue, I am very pleased with this drive and its performance.
