    The LaCie reputation for quality holds up with this great drive. I'm running the drive via SATA connection through a StarTech 2 Port eSATA ExpressCard Drive Controller Card on my 17" MacBook Pro. I had to install a driver for the card from the provided disc but once that was installed there were no problems. Running via USB is plug and play. I've only had the drive for a few weeks and so far I'd recommend. I'm thinking of getting a second. Only con so far is the noise level. However, it doesn't seem too out of place for such a large drive.
