Was a great item until it randomly, without obvious reason, stopped working.

4 of 5 Nice product for the price Thursday, December 06, 2007
A Customer from Chicago, IL
Well, I think I paid less than $30 for it. A little bigger than I expected. Works ok with the microphone (providing your car is not noisy while you are driving). Otherwise you can only use it while in park or at a very low speed. Proper postion of the microphone can get a little tricky. I placed mine on the dash and sometimes it creates an echo. Range though is amazing. I can leave my phone at home and answer from my car outside (about 60 feet away). Car though have to be tuned on. Overall - nice toy for the money. Anyhow, I think that a GPS unit with bluetooth connectivity would be a better ( but more expensive) alternative.

5 of 5 Easy and simple to use Monday, December 03, 2007
A Customer from Monterey Park, CA
This is an easy device to use, which is very important to my wife. No unnecessary buttons or screen to confuse a user who only wants simplicity. Once setup, the device automatically connects. Great for receiving calls.

4 of 5 Good value - drops more easily than cell Thursday, November 29, 2007
A Customer from flemington, nj
I use this handsfree car kit intermittently. It is a good value and performs relatively well, however, I have found that if the cell signal is not strong, it drops the connection. Callers seem to hear me just fine.

4 of 5 Great value, maybe not intuitive Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Dave from Otisfield, ME
I bought this on sale a few weeks back and have only used it a couple of times. I was concerned as the 12v receptical is in the console between the front seats. The internal mic still worked very well. Once paired, voice dialing with the phonebook on the cell phone worked fine. I do find that pressing the -key(??) to initiate a call, is not intuitive.

5 of 5 Works Great Wednesday, November 28, 2007
proliab from California
What I like about this product is that it was very easy to set up for multiple phones and that the sound is very strong. As soon as I turn on my car it hunts out the nearest previously paired phone and is ready to go. It truly beats wearing a bluetooth headset while driving. The only drawback is that its not very pretty, but I'll take that for performance.

5 of 5 Hard to beat for the price Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Gold Country from California
I'm very happy with this item. It pairs very easily with multiple Motorola phones. Sound is good, but had to use a different external microphone for my callers on the other end to hear me well. But for the price, its hard to beat.

5 of 5 Works well Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Prescott, AZ
Setup and operation proved easy with good volume and pickup. Volume is strong enough so that everyone in the car has been easily able to participate in conversations transfered to the hands-free devise. At this point, three weeks after installation, we have no complaints.

5 of 5 Very good choice, excellent price. Wednesday, November 28, 2007
R.O.W from Sacramento CA
Simple and effective. Plug it in, hold the middle button until the bluetooth turns on, pair your phone with the zeros. The car kit rings when you get a call, along with the phone. Hit the middle button to answer. When you set the + volume it beeps when you reached the loudest; which is where I keep mine. You can hear the other person with enough volume when your windows are closed and the fan is turned low, but the trick for you to sound clear to your friend is that you'll have to use the extended microphone and place it as close to the source and direction you speak, otherwise they say it sounds like "You're speaking in a bucket". It was worth the price to not have to use those in-ear bluetooth headsets while driving, plus, everyone in the car gets a chance to talk.

4 of 5 Portable enough with a reasonable price. Wednesday, November 28, 2007
KM from Edison, NJ
I already have a Bluetooth system from Parrot which is integrated with my factory radio installed in one of my car. that system cost me about 225 bucks with installation. I loved it so much that I wanted a similar system for my other car, but at the same time I didnt want to spend too much for it. I looked around and got this Kyocera Bluetooth Handsfree set for about 25 dollars. I was too exited to set it up, and as far as the installation goes, its damn simple. All you have to do is plug into the 12 Volt Port in your car. Enable to bluetooth on your mobile phone and pair it with the default passcode. Thats it you are ready to talk with your new bluetooth handsfree car kit. What I noticed is that the inbuilt microphone is half duplex, and that means, either you can speak or listen. If both parties are trying to say something at the same time, or if there is a lot of background noice while you are driving on the highway, the sound is going to grabble or its going to break. Both the parties wont be able to talk comfortably in this case. This kit comes with a wired microphone (External), which is full duplex, which has to be attached to the kit and has to be fixed on the visor or the dash board. The sound clarity with the external microphone is very nice. If you can do a bit of handy work, you can hide most of the wiring. I tried to do that too, but the length of the wire provided was a little short as per my expectations. (But again.. what can you get for 25 bucks!!) As far as the looks, its not the best sleek gizmo. the looks are little bulky and the blue light just below the speaker phone is very very catchy. The looks could make up with the loud and clear speaker phone. the last thing, Which always comes from the comparison with my Parrot system. In a situation where you are already on the phone and you turn on your car, it takes a while to hop on to the bluetooth car kit. Sometimes I have to manually switch it using my Cell Phone Menu Option. At the same time, If I am talking on the phone while driving, and now that i reached home, I would turn off my car, again it takes a while to hop the call back to my cell phone. I have to manually switch it back to my cell phone. The transition of the phone is not that smooth, and has to be done manually. I would have loved if that part was smooth just like my Parrot system does. Anyways, its not a big deal as all of your cell phones will have that option of manually switching back and forth to your bluetooth headset. In short, its a little bulky and catchy, but the sound quality is very clear and nice(Provided you use the external microphone), It takes a little time to install (i.e. hide the wiring) for the external microphone and hook it up on the dash board or the visor, but its cheap and worth an half an hour of labor. Definitely worth the price.

4 of 5 Great for lsitening to voice mails. Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Charles from Huntsville, AL
Useless for trying to talk to somebody. Even with the lapel mic, the other party cannot hear me clearly. However, hearing the other party is great.

5 of 5 Bluetooth HandsFree Wednesday, November 28, 2007
mendlm2 from North Port, Florida
Good sound and good range, as long as you don't have to use the wired speaker. It doesn't work at all. All else is fine.

4 of 5 Works as advertised Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Santa Rosa, CA
I am running a Samsung Sync (AT&T) into the Kyocera, and I have had no issues with how it works. The sound quality is okay - people say that they can hear me okay, but it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. I can hear people fine. Connection is made and broken down appropriately.

4 of 5 Easy Talking Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Houston, TX
This unit sometimes is hard to hear the person, they can hear me pretty good most of the time, but if you like talking in front of everyone in your car, that's the only time I like to use it, otherwise, you share all of your conversation with everyone, although, that might be good if you DO want others in the conversation, ie: children talking with grandparents, for that reason, GREAT. I just know I'm not buying a car that is Bluetooth enabled anytime soon. Hope this helped.

5 of 5 very clear Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Mark from New City, NY
We needed to go hands free in the car. I was skeptical of this bluetooth because of the low price. However, i am very pleased. It is very clear to both hear and talk. Highly recommend it.

4 of 5 Good product for the price Wednesday, November 28, 2007
lenharding from Clarkston, MI
I was looking for a good hands free device to use instead of OnStar, which I liked, this works pretty good especially for the price. The sound is really good and it's very simple to use. Just plug it in and press the big blue button. The biggest issue is the strength of the microphone. That could be better. Often I have to hold the little direction mic while talking but I can do that and have my hands on the wheel at the same time. Overall this little device makes hands free driving a lot easier. It much nicer then always wearing my ear piece while driving or trying to fish out my ear piece when I want to make a call.

5 of 5 Kyocera Bluetooth Portable Handsfree Car kit Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Monty from Raleigh, NC
This product is worth the $20 that I paid for it. It does a passable job, but in the end, the old saying that you get what you pay for rings true. While most conversations are passable, I do have to strain to discern what is being said sometime and I'm told that sometimes people have difficulty understanding what I've said, and obviously when I disconnect the car kit, the sound is improved. Having said that though, the quality is not bad, and is a great asset for hands free driving and having a passing conversation with someone.

4 of 5 Good product Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Ajit from White Plains , NY
I haven't used this much but working OK. Connects without problem. Sound is loud and clear. Only problem I think is with the inbuilt mic which is not very sensitive and the opposite party complains sometime. The supplied external mic does the job howeever the cord length for the external mic is short and you can not place it at your favorite places.

5 of 5 Good buy. Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
This hands-free car kit was easy to install, works great. The only problem is a very subtle "clicking" noise that is intermittent and seemingly impossible to get rid of. But it works well. I highly recommend it.

5 of 5 Very satisfied Thursday, October 25, 2007
A Customer from Wakefield, MA
I went throguh several earpieces, and this is great because as soon as I start the car it pairs with my SonyEricsson phone with no problem. It works very well and I have no issues so far. Speakerphone is very decent. The integrated microphone is not as good however, but the cabled microphone makes up for it. But it adds a wire and more clutter, although it can be mostly hidden with little effort. the blue connectino light is a tad too bright, but nothing to complain about.

5 of 5 Very convenient Friday, October 12, 2007
Suchit from Santa Ana, CA
I got this item during a sale and for the price I paid, this piece has given me more than what i would expect. Using google checkout, it costed me around 15$, but I wouldn't mind paying around 30-35$ for it. Just plug it in your car and it has a loud enough and clear speaker that you can hear the person with great clarity. The mike can be hooked up to your shirt pocket and my friends dont even figure out that they are on handsfree. It will surely give you problems if you are driving on a noisy road surface or with windows open, but thats how handsfree devices work. The greatest benefit of the product is that I dont have to insert it in my ears. The only reason I was avoiding handsfree devices was they get so uncomfortable with earpieces. And if you are travelling with people in your car, then this device would not give you privacy as it acts like a car speaker.

5 of 5 Very Practical if you do not have bluetooth integr Wednesday, October 10, 2007
Alex from Alexandria, LA
Nothing easier. Just plug it, synchronize your Bluetooth cell and that's it. Very decent sound from the integrated speaker. Surprisingly good integrated microphone with the option of external one (comes with it). My son said when I called him through this devise that the sound was better than using the cellular itself.

5 of 5 Bang for your buck! Monday, October 08, 2007
A Customer from Anaheim, CA
Among all the bluetooth headset I've ever used. This has got to be one of the best. Sound coming from the ear piece is crisp and clear. The mic is also sensitive, meaning you don't have to shout to get your message to get through. Good price!

5 of 5 Great Value Sunday, October 07, 2007
A Customer from Rock Hill, NY
Very easy to use. I plugged it into the 12 volt cigarette lighter, followed the easy to read instructions and in less than a minute it paired with my cell phone. The internal speaker was clear and with no distortions. I tested the voice quality by dialing my voice mail ,using the internal microphone, and then tested it with the external microphone connected. To my surprise, the internal microphone was sensitive to work relatively well. I did not notice a substantial difference in sound quality between the external or internal mic. I like it so much I think I will order another as a gift.

5 of 5 Great Product - Great Price! Friday, October 05, 2007
A Customer from Connecticut
The price was so awesome that I figured I should try it -- better than something stuck in my ear -- or something that falls out while driving so you're stuck without a hands free device. Took a few trys to get it synced but once it did it -- FANTASTIC!!! I would highly recommend this product.

4 of 5 Not great... but not bad. Thursday, October 04, 2007
baldmarc1 from new city, ny
Pretty much works as expected. I bought it for my wife who is a terrible driver and always forgets to charge her ear piece. So this certainly fits the bill as something you don't have to remember to charge and will always have in the car. The speaker works fine, 5/5, the buttons are nice and easy to press, 5/5, the internal mic works well enough, 3/5, with the external connected, 4/5. Comes with 3 different mounts for the external mic including a real nice one for the visor. I recommend plugging it in "upside" and flipping it up towards dash.
